I just went there today after reading the good reviews here on Yelp. I also was pleased with the deal and service. I don't think they're high volume, so they can get you in an out pretty quickly although if there was a big wait, it might mean a longer turnaround time. The garage was empty when I arrived and I had three guys working on my car within minutes. I should point out that I don't think the big named brands are their specialty. My tire size is a little unusual, not rare, but harder to find in stock at most places. They had two "off" brands to choose from, one of which I selected, which had a 50k mile warranty (although I should note that I think tire warranties are a bit of a joke). Still, should these wear prematurely, I feel good about bringing them back here. That all said, I got four tires in 225/45/17 for $440, mounted, balanced, etc., after tax. For that size tire, which requres a thick sidewall, that's a very good price. I just did a search on Discount Tire's website and the cheapest non-name set I could find all mounted, etc, after tax, was $500. The cheapest name set (Pirelli), out the door was $618. read more

Woke up to a flat tire a few days ago. Turned to YELP! Andy's Tires was great. Super fast, friendly and helpful. My kind of establishment. I must admit, I was hoping to simply purchase a used tire due to budget set-backs, but at the suggestions of the uber-friendly sales woman, I ended up buying two brand new tires for less than $250. Found one of my front tires flat after work one day. Never had to deal with one and found this amazingly well reviewed place for any car-related business. Was a little skeptical at first, but some things you should know: They are open from 9 am to 6 pm most days - couldn't find this information anywhere online so putting it here. Everything said about this place is spot on. Don't expect much conversation or explanation, just all business. Rolled in, took out tire and within 5 min the whole was found. They do the patch right there in front of you without another word, fill you up and that was it. Make sure to ask them to fill up all your tires. Cost $15 and i tipped a little for the quick service. You'll walk away feeling a little unsettled if you don't have a lot of experience with car shops/maintenance (like me), but its been a couple weeks and the wheel is just fine. After talking with a few folks about what I saw, pretty much confirmed that everything they did was standard and expected, minus the BS talk and trying to sell you extra stuff. read more

Tire troubles? Like watching a pit crew in action? Bring your car to Andy's. I needed four new tires. I called Andy to see if he can beat the quotes I received from other tire places and he said he could. I took my car there and within in 15 min I had new tires...literally 15 min! It was like watching a pit crew from NASCAR. Here's what I mean by that...Andy's crew had two cars in the shop the day I was there, one of the cars being mine. Two of Andy's guys were working on my tires and another two guys were working on another customer's car. They were working so fast, that I was in awe. I mean c'mon these guys change tires all day long, you'd expect them to be quick and know what they are doing. And sure enough they were! I was also amused because the four guys began racing to see who would change the tires the fastest - the guys on my car or the guys on the other customer's car. It was amusing to watch! At the end, Andy came through on his promise and he beat the competition's price for my new tires for my vehicle type. That's why I recommend at least calling Andy's first. Tell him what car you have and what quotes you've received so far. Don't expect much when you walk in. It's a tire shop. There is no waiting room. Just Andy's office and the garage where your car is being worked on. It's not an issue b/c you won't be there very long. You can wait and watch while these guys work. Great Service!!! I live a block away from Andy's tires. When I received a flat I drove my car to their shop in their back of the store. I was immediately greeted with a smile and great customer service. They gave me a great deal on used tires. I was charged $110 for two Used tires that were in excellent shape plus they also fixed another one of my tires because it had a screw in it for only $10. $110 for all that wonderful service. Watch your wallet and make sure the price is agreed upon. They changed a tire for $12 including balance, which was allright. A week later I asked them to replace 2 tires and after it was done, the obnoxious front office lady demanded $50. I protested that it should be $24 based on previous experience. She called the illiterate owner who started screaming abuse, but backed down after I pointed out to the price list on their wall. Either way, never more. The people doing the actual work are OK, but the "management", if you could call it that, are crooks. 1 star because you can't post with lower rating. read more

Had a slow leak. Pulled in at 9, $20, was done at 9:15. Just pull in through the lot through the fence to the Bay. They will instruct you to pull in or to the side. Super fast, always ready service. Great place. Small waiting area in the building or you can just hang outside as you won't have time to watch the tv. read more

I was more than willing to purchase a used tire for $80. Unfortunately, they didn't have my size in stock. The owner asks me to pay $10 in cash. For what? They didn't do anything. To show me where my tire was leaking? I said, I had a debit card. Now he says, it'll be $15. I would have come back when he got the tire in stock, but after this, do you think I'll come back? Andy's was recommended to me, and honestly it was the best experience I've ever had at a tire shop. I got there a bit early this morning and they took my car right away (a little before 9am) and patched a slow leak in the rear tire in under 20 minutes...it took me longer to drive through traffic on the way back downtown (where I live). No upselling, no "too close to the sidewall" arguments, just a really nice small business run as it should be. Highly recommended. Visited them today when one of my Mazda's tires had a nail in it and I didn't want to buy 4 new tires immediately. I called many tire repair shops around Chicago but none of them carried a used tire of type I needed (Mazda CX5's do use a less common tire). I called Andy's Tires as well. They called me back 30 mins later (bonus point!) with news they have 2-3 in their storage that they found after my call. I went in immediately and got a used tire installed. Took me less than 30 minutes and I paid $65. I did not negotiate as $65 seemed fair, compared to other places I went to or spoke with. Louis was the main guy who worked with me and he was very helpful. Happily took me to their tire storage (seriously, 100s of tires!) to let me pick among the choices. Now hoping the used tire lasts well until I buy 4 new ones. I recommend this place. There is plenty of parking next to it. read more

These guys are the BEST! Say, you wake up and go out to your car - and oh shit!, you've got a flat tire! Take your car here and you won't be any less than amazed at their speed, and price. You won't even have to call in late to work! The guys will even fix the problem right behind the garage door, if the other guy is working on someone else's car on the inside! I pulled up, they jacked up the side where the flat was, and fixed it within ten minutes. My kids didn't even have to get out, which was great b/c my 3 y/old was watching Spongebob - hello!!! The cost to patch my tire - $14.66! If they can patch your tire they will, they won't give you the runaround and tell you that you need a new tire when your current one can be salvaged. Your invoice will be ready and waiting for you, and you'll be done w/out missing out on your day. There's nothing worse than spending your day at a tire shop and then getting your wallet reamed on the way out. Go to them, you won't ever go back to Just Tires again! read more

I went over the biggest pothole in existence and bent my rim in 2 places. We decided to stop by Andy's and I am so glad we did! It took them maybe 10 minutes to take the old rim off and put on a brand new one. They were quick, affordable and had the rim I needed in stock. I hate dealing with car issues, but it was apparent that I needed new front tires since mine kept squeaking in an embarrassing way in parking lots. A friend recommended Andy's, and he called them for a quote. I could not find tires at Costco or even Farm & Fleet for less than $125 per tire (not including installation). Andy's quoted $240 for both tires and installation, and that is what they charged me. It also only took about 20 minutes to do the whole thing! Leave it to the deep freeze of winter for me to get not 1, but 2 flat tires on a pothole. Had my car towed to Andy's after looking up a place nearby that I could get some used tires. They were very quick, friendly & affordable. He said next time I could have my car towed directly to their lot overnight instead of two tows. Tires seem just fine and it put me back less than $100 for 2 tires and about 20 minutes. Very happy to have found them! read more

Man, oh, man. Every three or four weeks, I get a nail or screw in one of my tires. I don't know if it's karma or just plain bad luck. At any rate, I almost always plug them myself. But today I was out of tire plugs, so I dropped by Andy's Tires unannounced. They were able to service the tire immediately. Five minutes and twelve bucks later they had it plugged, and I was on the road again. Best of all, they were very courteous and didn't hard sell me on replacing my tires. I said "thank you" to the gentleman who plugged the tire, and he replied,"Thank YOU." Now that's great service. I'll probably see them again when I run over September's tire-puncturing-screw-of-the-month. read more

So, I really would have given them a 5 bc they do work fast BUT one of the patrons or employees there were so rude and needed a quick lesson in etiquette 101. Good for: cheap tire fixes like fixing tire leaks or swapping in a used tire when you don't want to pay full price. Bad for: anyone who needs more than that, like installing new tire sensors. I had a poor experience here where a faulty TPMS sensor was installed on my car by Andy's and after a well regarded Toyota dealer confirmed this for me, when I returned to Andy's to return the sensor, they flat out denied they had installed that particular sensor and refused a refund or any fault.
