Let me just say that you can NOT find a better tree service than Andy. We bought our house 1.5 years ago, last summer we found out that we've got serious ficus tree roots problem (thanks to a landscaping guy). I started my search for tree service companies. Wow, I couldn't believe how expensive to remove ONE tree, let alone 8 trees! We got several quotes and Andy's was unbeatable! His price is one good thing, but the best is his manners and service. We were supposed to have those trees removed last summer but we kept changing on our plans a couple of times and pushing back because a company was doing construction work that has created a lot of dust and we wanted to keep the trees as protection screens. I don't know if anyone would still want our business after being pushed back for 9months. I would not use Andy's tree service again. Andy is a nice guy and the work he did about a year ago was overall good but there were some major unresolved issues. Unfortunately, Andy's guys that removed the tree stumps left leaks all over our 1.25 acre property. Everywhere a stump was removed, pipes were cut. When I spoke to Andy about it, he said it was my responsiblity to fix it. In addition, Andy said he was going to remove the trees he cut, but instead, he turned most of it into mulch and spread it over our orchard. The mulch was knee deep in some areas and became moldy. It ruined most of our trees and we are still doing clean up over a year later. Now that it is time to trim my trees again, I am looking for another company that will not cause such problems. read more

We had Andy's remove some trees from our property. Some were in tight spots between a fence and the house, but they did a good job at removing them quickly for a great price. They hit the house a lot, including dropping material on the roof and used the roof as a pathway to drag plants to the woodchipper. Not sure if that's normal, I thought it was kinda strange. My main concern was that they removed one small plant (it looked like they sawed it off at the base) without checking with us and trampled/crushed several others without warning or recognition of an issue. They also confusingly ripped a spigot with a post out of the ground that was seemingly out of their way. Now we are left to replace our ripped out plant, fix the pipe, bury the post, and hope that our trampled plants survive. They were the cheapest by quite a bit. I would highly recommend them if you had a clear lot with no landscaping that you care about. Otherwise, make sure you insist that they communicate with you about potential concerns. My mom had Andy's team come out yesterday and remove two eucalyptus trees that were getting so tall that they were threatening to fall on the house every time there was a wind storm. Not only did Andy offer a fair price for removing the trees, but the whole process was professional and by the book. Instead of just sawing the trees down and letting them fall where they may, possibly smashing other plants and landscaping, they methodically cut each tree down in sections using ropes to steady and lower each piece. Afterwards, I surveyed the area and couldn't believe how clean it was... not one leaf or stick to indicate the crew was even there. They also cut the stumps down so low you can barely see them. Andy saved my life, he is awesome. I paid American Tree Service, Torin Sherman to cut down a 30' palm tree, grind the stump and haul away the remains. He cashed my check but never cut down the stump and left a 4' log sitting in the gutter. Who does that?
