I recently stayed at Angad Arts Boutique Hotel and had a mixed--but overall memorable--experience. The highlight of my visit was definitely the Art Bar. The atmosphere is vibrant and creative, and the staff truly made it exceptional. Brayden, Nyla, and Adam went above and beyond--attentive, welcoming, and genuinely engaging. They made every visit feel special. The front desk team also deserves recognition. Tia and Nyla provided outstanding service throughout my stay--professional, warm, and always ready to help. My yellow suite was absolutely stunning--beautifully designed, comfortable, and a unique touch that really elevated the experience. That said, there were a couple of downsides. The Commonwealth restaurant was inconsistent at best. Service ranged from slow to nonexistent, and the food didn't quite live up to expectations. I also experienced an issue with housekeeping not locking my door after servicing the room, which was concerning. However, Jonathan, the General Manager, handled the situation with professionalism and care. He was very apologetic and made sure my concerns were addressed, which I truly appreciated. Overall, while there are areas for improvement, the exceptional staff and unique atmosphere make this hotel stand out. With a bit more consistency, it could easily be a top-tier experience. read more

Travesty collection... Horrible customer service, forced cancellations, dirty rooms, and accommodations that barely meet the minimum expected of an upscale hotel. The overnight clerk, Bre Frazier, was particularly unhelpful and seemed either unwilling or unable to offer any meaningful assistance with late check-in. Rather than attempting to resolve the situation, the response was inept and needlessly frustrating. In no world does this property qualify as a five-star hotel, it barely qualifies as four-star. The standards of service, cleanliness, and accommodations do not live up to the brand or price. read more

"Arts Hotel" truly lives up to its name. The art on display through out this entire hotel is mesmerizing. If you are spending a night or two in one of their colorful rooms, having cocktails on the rooftop, or enjoying a meal at, The Commonwealth, be sure to take time to enjoy the art. Just take a stroll through the public areas and enjoy the beauty of all the beautiful artwork on display. It's as if you are visiting a museum or gallery. After viewing all the art, be sure to enjoy a cocktail at Commonwealth and then go upstairs to the Penthouse and have another cocktail at the ARTS Bar. If you're going to a show at the Fox or Powell, this is a very convenient option to both. They have a pay parking lot that is currently $25/nt with a $1.25/nt fee. When you arrive, park in the check in waiting area in the circle drive. Then take the elevator to the 12th floor lobby. You need a physical card for in/out privileges and frankly to make sure you don't end up double paying to get out. Once you get your card, then you take the entrance to the lot that is connected to the circle drive. To head to your room, you'll need to take the far elevators, I do like the theming and the location, but there are some flaws. Only 2 elevators to the guest rooms, low water pressure for showers, and an HVAC that is loud when it shuts off. Oh, and very little control over the temperature, just a vague "warmer/cooler." Now if you're used to budget or quirky hotels, none of this is enough to avoid this place. But if you're expecting a higher end Hilton property, you'll be disappointed. It's interesting, but the price is for the location. Keep that in mind before deciding if to book. Myself, I would strongly consider staying here for another staycation read more

Went to the rooftop bar for an after concert cocktail. We were also looking for food since we hadn't eaten. Take the elevator to the penthouse and you'll arrive. No tables available on the the outside but a few in. We sat near a big window with a great view. Order at the bar and find a table. They'll bring it to you. We had rum cocktails that were delicious. Rum is one of my all time favorite spirits. It takes me right back to Jamaica. Delicious! We ordered a flatbread pizza, chicken tacos made from wonton wrappers and truffle chips that came with a dip. Surprisingly yummy (all of it). Those little tacos were the star of the spread. Chicken was flavor packed and the crispy shell was a great component to this tasty snack. Service was amazing! The DJ's fantastic. The manager was so attentive! I mean...what is this place? He even gave us four free parking passes for our next visit. Very impressive! We spend a lot of time in the arts district and I think we've found a good late night place. The most interesting thing about this place was the diverse mix of people. Came for the Christmas pop up Moose Mug lounge. it was pretty crowded and we struggled to find seating, two of us ended up sharing one seat. The decor was cute and the cocktails were good but really expensive. They also had food options which was nice but we only got drinks. The drinks once we ordered came out pretty quick. It was fun watching everybody come in with their pretty holiday outfits. It was also hard finding parking on a Saturday night because there was also a performance at the Fox. read more

Such a cool eclectic hotel! The decor is very interesting and every room unique. They have a great rooftop bar with a great outdoor area overlooking the city. It was a great place to chill. The room was spacious and the bed and pillows were super comfy. The AC worked great, which is hard to find in a hotel. The staff was friendly, but things seemed a bit unorganized. They ran out of water bottles, which was annoying, and the service in the restaurant was very slow. It was definitely a unique place to stay. read more

I felt like a character in "From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler" during my stay at Angad because it is a hotel and an arts museum all in one! I loved everything about Angad; not only is it beautifully designed, but the amenities and services offered were great quality. One of my favorite parts of the entire hotel was the lobby. The lobby is on the top floor, and it was split into different "sections" of sitting areas, private meeting rooms, and of course, the rooftop bar! I love how each section of the lobby was decorated with art pieces, from paintings to a projection show. It was a great location to take some Instagram photos and enjoy a drink with friends. Speaking of drinks, one of the best places in the entire hotel was the rooftop bar. It was an uncharacteristically warm and sunny February day when I visited, so I enjoyed some fresh air and a beautiful view of the city on the rooftop patio. I cannot speak to the quality of the food or drinks at the bar, as I did not have the opportunity to eat there during my stay, but, according to the menu, it looked like a great place to enjoy some small plates/appetizers and speciality cocktails. I also loved the location of the Angad Arts Hotel. It was so close to so many great local restaurants, shops, and of course the Fabulous Fox Theater! I would definitely recommend staying here if you are coming from out of town to see a show at the Fox. It's also less than a mile from the Saint Louis University campus, which has many nice places to walk around outside. I will definitely be staying at the Angad Arts Hotel the next time I am in Saint Louis! read more

We happened upon Salsa Night which included a DJ and dancing-- it was apparently just a September special though if they brought Salsa nights back on the regular I think we would make it a weekly occurrence. Interesting Hotel, no reward member perks aside from a $15 per person daily Restaurant credit because they do not offer a free breakfast. (no matter what your status is! ) No concierge, Lounge, there is a gym. It was easy to get to using the metro from the airport and transferring to the bus which stops on the block. This hotel, you had to walk to the backstreet entrance and it looks very plain when entering aside from one luggage stacked art piece outside. You must take the elevator to the 12th floor, which is the lobby. I'd say this hotel is nice, but no frills, I did expect more decor from it being a Hilton and a boutique division tapestry. All the rooms have a color theme, my room is all blue, which looks nice and I do like the artwork in the room. However, the thermostat cannot be set to a particular temperature. It only has a hot or cool setting with a little lever you can move up or down. The bed is comfortable, and the bathroom is nice and big with products to use for shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, and some Q-tips. The towels are OK. There's a closet and a steamer! Bonus points for having a steamer, they also have an iron and ironing board, a mini fridge, which is empty for personal use, a Keurig, coffee maker, and ice bucket, two glasses. I had to call the front desk to request a luggage rack which was brought up promptly. There's a little desk and two complementary bottles of water. I was able to check into the room extra early, probably because of my diamond status with Hilton. I did have to ask her about the daily credit, and confirm there was no Lounge. I was disappointed that she didn't volunteer that information as welcoming me to the property and I read on the website that The Bar has some special holiday cocktails, I feel like she should've mentioned that on my check in as well. That was a missed opportunity to make me comfortable and have a nice stay. The location is just across from the theater and seems to have some nice places nearby. There's a rooftop bar with some food items. There's a restaurant in the front called Commonwealth, which is where you would use your credit for breakfast lunch or dinner. I'll make a separate view for those places. Well, the location seems OK and easy to access, it's not the central downtown area. That is a nine minute Uber or 25 minute metro trip or 50 minute walk. But I'm here for a convention so everything downtown was sold out and this was the best alternative for a decent hotel. read more

My husband I stayed here over a weekend as we came in town to see Harry Potter and the cursed child and this hotel is walking distance from the theater. The concept of the hotel is wonderful and brilliant, the reality was disappointing. The hotel is incredibly dirty, not just the rooms but the main common areas - entrances, rooftop bar, downstairs breakfast/lounge area. Floors were sticky( dirt and trash in the ground and in corners - the entire hotel reminded me of a college bar after the lights turn on. The rooftop bar was no different. The drinks came in cheap, cracked plastic glasses and were unpleasant. The food was not only bad but uninspired and overpriced. I ordered a $27 charcuterie board and got a literal block of white cheddar and yellow cheddar - the kind you buy from Walmart in bulk, some salami slices, a couple dried apricots and 6 blueberries. The room design was awesome - unfortunately it was covered in other people's hair and multiple things were broken. The sink was clogged and the bathtub was clogged and wouldn't drain. There was no soap and no coffee pods and no one ever answered the phone when I called the front desk. I would never ever stay here again and caution anyone else against it. Pick a different hotel. read more

I recently traveled to St. Louis for a sorority business trip and was unfortunately disappointed with my stay. I found this hotel on TikTok, where people were raving about it, but my experience didn't live up to the hype. Initially, I booked the yellow room, but the covers were dirty and stained. I was then moved to the red room, only to find that the TV didn't work. What struck me was that the hotel's walls didn't appear to be freshly painted, and the rooms didn't seem to be of the high quality I would have expected, especially given the online reviews. Although this hotel has a lot of potential, its cleanliness and upkeep fell short. If the staff focused on improving these areas, I believe guests would have a much better experience. read more

Views were amazing and the drinks were pretty good. A lot of cozy cute spots to sit and talk. I also liked you could bring your drinks around the hotel to look at the other art too! However... we did wait over 45 mins for a Togo order of hummus and the chicken tacos. We were running a little late at this point so I had to ask and they brought it out. When we got the food back to the room I opened the box and both orders had been tossed in the same box. The hummus was maybe a tablespoon at most, 1/2 a cucumber, some pita and the tacos were very dry and flavorless. Id recommend this place as a bar but try somewhere else for food. Street parking is free or you can park in the hotel lot for a fee depending on how long you'll be there. For hotel guests it was $17 for the night. The bar is technically on the 13th floor or just up the stairs at the hotel lobby from the 12th. Open late too! read more

This could be 3- or 4-star. Good location and rooms are nice for the price point. However, our family had four rooms for a night, and three of four had an overcharge. That's a 75% error rate! Getting them to reverse charges took way too much time and Hilton had to step in. Clearly management believes that the customer is always wrong, even when right. If you don't do business with people you can't trust, don't stay here. If you absolutely have to, be sure to check out in person and go through every charge. Hilton needs to do better with this property. read more

1 star but really 0 stars. My room made a loud clanging sound anytime the fan kicked on. My car was broken into and left me with a broken window. On top of that, we were charged a cancellation fee for a third room that was never booked. The staff was surprisingly helpful but acted like all of this was an every day occurrence. In the morning when it was discovered that ~10 cars had been broken into, the security guard drove away and the staff was suddenly missing. Later, the house keeping crew was sent to sweep up glass and were very nonchalant about it happening. When you ask them if this is a normal occurrence, some were honest in saying it is pretty frequent and some acted like it had never happened before. The best the staff could do was refund the parking fee for the "secured lot" which was nothing compared to the $400 window replacement. I would avoid staying here again and avoid staying in downtown St. Louis in general. read more

Simply put, I love this place. I came here yesterday during happy hour. Unfortunately, it was raining, but you can still see the amazing views of Saint Louis all around. It's certainly on the pricey-er side, but you know... views. I generally find their cocktails and booze options in general to be lovely and high quality. For instance they have Martell's Blue Swift Cognac... like damn! Yesterday we got some happy hour snacks, they are discounted, but also come out in smaller portions. They came pretty promptly, which was awesome. My favorite was the crab dip! The shrimp in the shrimp avocado dish was huge, so that was a win, too. Views for days, tons of outdoor seating, and a really tastefully decorated interior bar. Basically, come to celebrate, come when you've had a long day and need some fresh air, just come... this is the spot. read more

Super unique space with great drinks. I had so much fun starting my night off here. I am glad somewhere with such a unique atmosphere has come to St. Louis. You can either sit on the roof or take your drink down into the hotel lobby the floor below. The atmosphere is a little odd as you get a mix of tourists and locals. They have a limited menu of snacks, we also enjoyed some tuna tartar which was very tasty and was a good way to start off the evening. Not sure I'll come frequently but it is a cool space for a special occasion or before a show in Grand Center. read more

The view from the rooftop was beautiful! This is certainly not a place to have several drinks as it was a bit pricey but we had dinner plans elsewhere so this was a perfect way to start our evening. There is seating but if you're in a group bigger than 4-6 people you might have difficulty sitting together. Do not go here for food, drinks or Service! We had the worst service EVER! We brought a party of 9 for a Sunday Funday. Do not go here if you don't like spit in your food. The bartender/waitress was overwhelmed with just our group. Place was empty. They had 2 people working and the 9 of us was too much for the one employee. She was extremely rude and unprofessional. She actually said she only spit a little in our food. If you like overpriced drinks, below average food and spit in your food check this place out! read more

My first stop in here on a Friday evening after 9 pm. I'm so happy we have a cool rooftop bar like this with views over the city. (As I say that realize I've never been to 360 rooftop downtown). Anyway the Rainbow Terrace reminds me of NYC rooftop bars, very hip. Great crowd, hopping music. High fives to Kim at the bar who made me a couple OUTSTANDING Sazeracs. Thanks KIm!! Many of the city's rooftop bars and restaurants (facing Downtown STL) were booked well in advance for 4th of July weekend, so it was a pleasant surprise that the Angad Rainbow Terrace had open seating for the evening. I had heard good things about this rooftop and was looking forward to making our first visit. Unfortunately, the experience did not live up to expectation. The terrace is wonderful with great lighting, not too many tables crowded together, and a great view of the city. On the downside, the service was painful and food and drinks were subpar. We arrived around 7:30pm and were greeted with food and drink menus. We started with drinks at the bar- I ordered the Curatorial which was similar to a margarita. I was thrown off by a basically half-filled glass, but let it go as we found out the bartender was new. It was refreshing and tart. My date ordered the same for his next drink. I wanted to try something different for my second drink, and was intrigued by their whiskey cocktail- the Nine Worlds. I was informed that they were out of "blueberry tea" so if the bartender were to make me something different, she would have to use another ingredient that would make it more expensive...? You ran out of the drink's ingredient so I have to pay more for whatever replacement concoction you're offering? I'm still stumped over that logic. I went with a whiskey sour with egg white foam. Maybe I had a bad taste lingering in my mouth, but I wasn't impressed. Two drinks in and the waitress who originally greeted us with the menus hadn't made her way back to our table. At this point, we figured she wasn't coming back so I tracked her down inside. I gave her my order and she requested a credit card before she could put in the order. Strange practice for a restaurant, but fine. I return to my table, grab my credit card, return to her at the POS system and she asks me to put my order in with the bartender instead. Despite hanger setting in, I obliged. We ordered the broccoli appetizer, korean wings, and salmon sliders to share. Again, it was all okay. The broccoli wasn't cooked enough for my tastes, but my man preferred the crunch. The korean wings and salmon sliders were good, but nothing I would come back for. I am happy to report, however, that the food came out surprisingly quickly... all things considered. There are too few rooftop options in St. Louis, so it would be hard to deny the Rainbow Terrace another shot... but I am already anticipating the struggle it will be to convince my boyfriend to return. I know the hotel is new so maybe they just need more time to figure things out? We will explore other options in the meantime. read more

Hmm... we went for happy hour and had great service (very attentive waitress), ample choices of inexpensive appetizers (starters) and a few good drinks to choose from. Had no problem getting anything quickly; but then again - it wasn't full at 5:30 on a Thursday. Great view of downtown and the surrounding area. The entire staff was very nice but our particular brunette waitress was not good, I serve as well so I know the steps of service. We only saw our her 3 times per hour & had to get her attention to order each time. If the bar was backed up causing us to wait, it was not communicated. We watched the 3 other servers go to their tables multiple times while we waited for ours. The menu items I wanted were sold out or overcooked after ordering, but the chef comped my 3rd choice meal so that was very much appreciated! Only giving 2 stars because the chef was kind. One year ago we got married in the Caribbean, first anniversary last night was spent in an igloo. Can't be more opposite but was a great time. Courtney, Kelly, Tony and Kenya braved the elements to bring us drinks and food. Tried almost everything on the menu and it was all delicious as were the drinks. I stayed with a small group of friends at the Angad. The hotel staff from valet to check in was excellent. However, the restaurant and bar service is horrible. It was almost impossible to get a drink at the rooftop bar. On Friday night it was busy, so we completely understood the wait. On Saturday it wasn't busy at all. We could not get a drink. Completely unbelievable. The manager was no help. We also attempted to eat brunch at the Grand Tavern on Saturday. The service was subpar to say the least. We will not be staying at the Angad or visiting the roof top bar or restaurant again. Very disappointing consider the location and view from the roof top bar. read more

I don't understand how investors drop millions of dollars in these new places then when you have an opportunity to shine.....like before a big concert at the Fox you don't have enough staff to serve your customers. Must go stand at the bar and hope you get an order of drinks in. Takes forever, like 25 minutes to get served. I admit we have given it a second chance and it was no better so we just ordered two drinks for each of us so we did not have to experience the LONG wait at the bar. Doesn't make sense that the wait staff cannot serve the outdoor patrons. Rose wine $13 a glass/ Gin and Tonics with Tangueray $10 each / Pinot Grigio wine $11 a glass.
