Whenever we visit other states, we like to check out at least one indoor play space with our son, and this one was a great choice. The facility was nice and clean, and the staff was super friendly with a warm greeting as soon as we walked in. The slides were fun, the obstacle course kept the kids active, and the colorful ball pit was a big hit. It's definitely a great spot for toddlers and younger children. Kids need grip socks parents must wear socks at all times. They also have a parking lot and a special parking spot dedicated to the birthday child, which i thought was a nice touch. They have different birthday packages available. Finally, they have picnic tables to eat snacks and just relax. We'd happily visit again when we come to North Carolina! read more

Accompanied my son and my two grandsons, ages four and two. This was my first visit to Happy Feet Planet and I had a blast! This huge indoor playground is located in the Norris Park area in Apex. The playground is designed for infants up to 12-year-olds. When we got there about 945 on a Tuesday morning, there were only two other people. We were forewarned that a field trip group would be arriving at 10:15. Even when the group arrived, because of the large space, it didn't feel crowded. There are lots of mazes with hidden play areas...activities for both gross and fine motor skills. They also have assorted snacks and drinks available for purchase. Such a fun time for baby!!! Rainy day at 12 on Wednesday no one was here. Amazing. I filled out the waiver and paid $8 for me and my 11 month old. It felt very clean today - in fact I ran into a neighbor who also remarked how clean the pieces of plastic were that you can see through. He loved exploring and watching other kids. I can't believe no one was there. My complaint in the past was that there were far too many kids and it was so loud I kept getting alerts for volume and damage to hearing on my Apple Watch. Today was calm. Today was fun. Today was more quiet. Today was lovely and we plan to return. Great way to play! Tip: I found about $40 that I handed into the cashier/front desk from the ball pit. Really loved Happy Feet Planet! There were so many fun activities for our toddler. He had a great time in the ball pit and there were loads of places to crawl around, plenty of slides, etc. I will warn other parents that the fastest slide IS pretty darn fast, so I'd be cautious in letting your toddler go down it. We also enjoyed loading and firing the ball cannons. Pricing was reasonably affordable and supposed to last all day, although we had to leave a little early (at 1 PM) because there was a birthday party on the day we went. That being said, our toddler can really only play for an hour or two before he gets tired and wants to do something else, so that worked fine for us. Came to celebrate a birthday for a 2 year old. Upon entering the building you are greeted by staff and required to remove your shoes (kids and adults) to enter the play area. Since we were part of a party we were asked to complete the waiver on our phones and then we could enter the play area. The play area is a nice size with a huge ball pit, climbing areas, slides and tables for parents to sit down. They also had massage chairs you could pay to use. The kids played for about an hour then they go over to the party room where they can have pizza and drinks which are apart of the party package. Once the kids go into the party room they are not allowed back in the play area. Staff informed me that sometimes after kids eat they can get sick so they prefer that concludes the play time. They also ask that you leave the gifts in the lobby and staff will transport them to the room when they set up the party. read more

I came for a kid's birthday party and was impressed by the new facility. The indoor play space is in what looks like a converted two story warehouse, providing ample room for big and tall play structures. There's a lot to do for kids, including a ball pit, big slides, and climbing structures. My two daughters (4 and 7 years old) easily spent an hour there and probably would have enjoyed playing for even longer. The party package came with an hour free play and then an hour in the party room with pizza. The facility appeared really new and all the play structures were new and clean as well. We came on a Saturday from 3-5pm, and the place was packed with kids and their parents. That was probably the biggest downside of the visit - with a bunch of kids running around, it was easy to lose my kids and it was very stuffy / hot in the play area with all the people inside. I would imagine on a weekday or a less busy time of the day, it would be less crowded and more comfortable in the play area. The staff was late decorating our room, forgot to bring water and soda for the parents (mind you I booked 4 weeks ago) The "manager" Evelyn stated over the phone that they would blow up balloons but didn't.. She changed her tune upon our arrival....She was not helpful at all. Evelyn saw the hostess struggling to finish the decorations, but she didn't bother to help. A great place for kiddos! Age wise this indoor play area is fun for kids who have started walking to maybe 12 or 13. The staff is kind and receptive! There are times when there isn't a staff member in the play area and some kids are "out of control". My suggestion would be to make sure there is a staff member in the place area 90% of the time. They are open everyday of the week. With that being said the weekends are BUSY!! If possible to get the full experience I would recommend going on a weekday to get a feel for the play area! The weekends are great if you have an older kid - tons of other kids to play and socialize with! Don't forget to pack water for you kiddos - if you forget don't worry they have water fountains in the play area! A very decent colorful and high energy place for toddlers and young children. It's perfect for a birthday party setting too. I booked a birthday party for my 7 yr old here. It was a very good experience with a few small cons. There was so much to do and the place was clean and spacious enough. It was fully booked but not ridiculously crowded. I appreciate that so much. Check-in was awkward. The attendant looked very stressed, and she accidentally let one of our guests in while we were waiting. We were there more than the 20 minutes early as we were asked to be, but I don't think we got to play until after our start time. That was so annoying for us parents to keep the reigns on my two little horses while they were bucking to get in and play - and there was nothing else for them to do but watch the many other open play customers come right in the door, check in, and go play. When I asked if we could let my daughter go catch up with her friend, and she realized her mistake, she stormed off and left the line waiting. Then I saw her wander across the lobby looking like she was going to break down and cry. I didn't mean to upset her?? I was very confused. Anyhow, there was plenty of space in our private party room, and our host was good. They get their pizza delivered from Papa Johns, and ours was late but they gave us 15 minutes of extra play time during the wait. The kids piled into the party room, and someone sat in the birthday girl's seat at the head of the table. My girl didn't mind but I wish the host would have been the bad guy to have to move the friend to another seat, and not leave it up to the kids and me. We also ordered bottled water for the adults during booking, but they didn't provide this. They even poured the bottles they did have into cups for the kids because there weren't enough to go around... (there were 20 drinks to 16 kids...???) and it was deer park... I don't see what the stinginess was about. Also, they overcharged me $59 because I thought I would need to upgrade my package but I only had ONE extra child. I should have only had to pay $25 for her, and $16 for the extra pizza, but they went ahead and charged the full $100 for 5 additional kids. I would rate the party experience a 4 from my perspective, but the facility was so clean, fun, and not overcrowded so I must give it 5 stars because my daughter is none the wiser and her experience was that this was the best birthday ever. Oh! I have a small safety concern. This is for kids age 2-12 but the "spider web" isn't for kids under 6. I didn't even realize this until my four year old came tumbling through very fast. I think it spooked him and he didn't try that again. There's a picture of the sign with small writing, and my younger kid in the background on his way down. It might be wise to make that warning more visible before the kids take off to go play so parents can warn them not to use this part of the play area. One more note, there was a "spill" (vomit) in the play area and the staff cleaned it up so fast, so clean, and so quietly, that you'd never know it happened 3 minutes later. I'm sad to see so many negative reviews of this place. I hope that the owner and staff know how much some people appreciate what they are offering here. When I was a kid, there were so many great (but I guess unsafe) indoor play options between McDonald's Play Places, Chuck E Cheese, and many other local establishments. This place is like a smaller version of Billy Beez which you'll find in larger cities, but it is still quite large for little ones. For the negatives that other reviewers have mentioned: - There are kids that are too old to be playing. - There are teens running the place most of the time. - There are plenty of opportunities for children to get hurt. Things are made to be reasonably safe, but there will still be bumps and bruises. - It is very loud and crowded on the weekends. Ask my 3 year old son if he cares about any of this, and you know what the answer will be? You guessed it, a resounding "I want to go to Happy Feet Planet!". He absolutely loves this place and it gives him a chance to explore the world in a reasonably safe environment. He's been pushed around by bigger kids that should know better. He's taken a few tumbles by doing something that is probably not the wisest. None of this matters, he has a ton of fun and he learns where his limits are. My only point of criticism that I ever have about this place is that the parents need a more comfortable place to sit. The bar stool area kills my back when I sit there for an extended period of time and the benches aren't much better. There is one comfortable seat for nursing mothers, and two massage chairs that have additional fees for their use. My wife and I just take turns sitting in our car every 30 minutes so as to not kill our backs. Overall I'm so glad that a place like this exists for kids today and wish that we could have more of them. A trampoline park (Urban Air and others) or an Arcade (Frankies or the current Chuck E Cheese) is nice, but this is just what this 90s kid is looking for. read more

STAFF THREATENS 3 YEAR OLD. Drove all the way to from Garner for a bday party, first time here, we couldn't get here until 45 mins into the party, so I told my child after pizza she could play. The staff informed me after the party we had to leave as they overbook on weekends. Something they should probably inform you before your child's already back in a ball pit? Maybe at the door? Not wanting to drag my child out screaming I said OK give us a few minutes (as ADULTS know but teen employees do not, you have to talk to a child to leave, tell them one more slide or 5 mins so they go happy and willingly) at which point a staff member threaten to physically remove my child. So my child paid to play for 15 mins and was threatened by a staff member. We won't be back and definitely won't throw a party here. We were there on a summer Monday; it was clean! the young adults or high schoolers ( not sure which) were very responsible , and working hard. They monitored the place, returned balls to their right areas and generally kept an eye on the play areas. My experience,at a similar place on NW Maynard in Cary, was it was not clean and the ONE person working there, checked people in and out and stayed on her phone. When I wanted the kids to take a snack break, I asked for something to clean the tables and she said " they would do that" but never saw it done. I am so glad an indoor playground opened up in this space, because so many bounce house places have closed lately. The area really needed somewhere for kids to go. The playground is huge and well-built, and has a lot of options for older kids (though of course, they also have activities for infants and toddlers). I appreciate having a place school-age kids can go when they've outgrown preschool-oriented playspaces but aren't ready for teen hangouts like Frankie's Fun Park or Dave&Buster's. This place fills an impprtant gap. At first I thought the ticket price was a little high, but I checked other places and it's in line with what other indoor playgrounds are charging these days. The worst thing that could happen to a parent in a public setting happened at Happy Feet Planet. Today, February 3,2024 at 3:14pm, a STRANGER recorded my small children sliding down a slide without my consent. My children are 5 and 2. When confronted about the recording, the man lies and says he's recording his son and a birthday girl. The only people who were coming down the slide during the recording were my children. He then proceeds to say that he can legally record whomever he wants in a public space. My response was not minors without the consent from their parents. To make matters worse, I inform a young lady and the manager of the incident and all I was told was "Thank you for making me aware." My husband and I proceed to pack our things and leave. Not satisfied and feeling a bit uneasy, we turn around and I speak to the manager again about the situation and ask for her boss's information. She gives me an email and informs me that she made a Teenager aware of the concern and to watch the man. The same young man who allowed adults to slide down the slides, when there are signs everywhere not to. The same young man who stood in the corner as I confronted this stranger who recorded my children, the same young man who stood in the corner instead of monitoring.I am disgusted, disappointed and defeated by this whole situation. Poor customer service, you need to staff grown adults. Not accommodating, rules don't make any sense. You can barely have any engagement with your child in play area because most areas say no adults.
