I've come back a few times since visiting the area and love the quality, cleanliness and friendliness of the staff! I've been to several spots in the Monterey county area this salon was the best by far!

Tee did the base of my manicure and pedicure and Tina did my design - I will say since it is a pride design, it has many colors and I feel like a lot of people in the salon were like omg so many colors - not in a bad way but just in general. But I think the service was great and pricing reasonable for what I got. Tee had to deal with my not great feet that are prone to ingrowns and thus have a lot of dead skin like underneath the corners - I kept apologizing and she was very kind. Lots of creams and a steamer for the pedi I got which was nice. I will say, I don't think I saw them open their tools for the pedicure from a sealed like bag, they just came from the back on a tray - though it's possible that they were just opened away from me. Tina was very kind and did my designs which were fairly...detailed I would say. When I had a want of more paint or more jewels, she did it without complaint - I am very quiet when I am in a nail salon personally - or at least I was in a quiet mode so I did feel bad for being silent but not much judgement from what I can tell. So many people are popping in and out and I would say I don't know how they manage all the clients they have with maybe like 6 people? But they do. My mani pedi took 1.5 hours for reference. I will update this as far as wear later on. I would say it was good quality service for the price and for a general nail salon - you may disagree if you are used to going to nail art specific people perhaps but that's my view. As far as vibes - super busy like I said - people come and talk to each other while they get services - not what I like to do personally but there's lots of that. Employees talk to themselves in their language but surprisingly quietly, I had no idea how they all heard each other. There are two big TVs they have generic shows and ads running on and general spa music. They also have a either ancestor altar, and or ancestor plate - I think that is what it is called though I am not certain - in the front. I thought it was a nice touch personally.

Instead of addressing the issue professionally, the salon refused to provide a refund and ended up calling the police. I paid good money expecting quality service and professional customer care, but unfortunately, I received neither. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this salon to anyone looking for quality nail services.

Even after being fixed once for free, two more nails broke off in less than 3 days. For $80, I expected my nails to last much longer. I won't be returning, but I do really appreciate the staff's kindness and trying to fix it. And hope they can improve their technique.

What surprised me most was that there were none of the finishing touches I've come to expect from a manicure. There was no hand rinse at the end to remove the nail dust and debris, no hand massage. She did ask if I wanted lotion or cuticle oil, but it felt more like an obligation than a genuine offer. Since my hands were still covered with filing dust, I declined the lotion and oil because I would have preferred to wash my hands first. The gel manicure itself turned out fine, but the overall experience felt rushed and impersonal. I paid and left without feeling like much care had been put into the customer experience. It's been about a month now and my nails have not chipped, they're still going so that's a plus.

Susan the owner is very rude- she tends to ignore peoples questions and always complains about not doing services. Went in with my niece to get a service done and had us wait in the lobby when we had appointments done prior. When we asked her how much longer we'd wait, she rudely said sit down on one of the chairs available as we did. Then, we had to wait 20 more minutes and came with asking "what do you want?" Just when we thought this wouldn't get any worse, she started slamming my hand on the table, hitting my hand saying to not "move" when I only moved out of someways way and still asked for a fatter tip. Like to start with, just if you want better service go elsewhere because all you'll be getting here is an unprofessional and careless experience from these nail "techs" here. One star is too much for them anyways. They won't greet you and aren't mindful of anybody's time. read more

I didn't have the best experience my first time, that was about a year and a half ago, but now I revisited and now there is new owners. The building is really nice and I like the design, very modern and it looks great. I'm really satisfied and glad I came here and met the owners, Susan and John. They have good customer service and all the employees are always cheerful and will respect your relaxation. I love the quality and my nails look very detailed, they take their time and it's done with sharp precision and it looks very neat. I came in and waited for 30 min. Then three young ladies came in (without appointment )about 10 minutes after those thirty I had been waiting and they were seated promptly. The lady had the audacity to seat them before me and she had seen when I came. This place discriminated me maybe because of the fact that I'm Hispanic. But I will not be coming back here again! I would give this place five stars if it weren't for the CRABBY bitchy owner. Her husband does a wonderful job though. She has to be the most angry, mean woman I've ever encountered working in a public place. The look she gives you is from the devil himself. She's wicked. I came down to Monterey for a visit from Los Angeles. I needed my nails done and this place was the best choice and I do not regret it. I don't usually write reviews but I was very pleased! There were three of us that went to have nails done. All of us wanted gel polish. The one lady who did my sister's nails couldn't understand English well or speak it. She ended up just doing a manicure with regular polish instead of the gel costing. We were not happy about that. read more

Mind you I was not asking for a change of completely color. I was primarily asking for the nail to be fixed. Had I paid the $35 i would have been paying a total of $90 for a super short set . I dislike being "that" person but figured it's fair for others to know how they may invest their money. Check the pics out. Ultimately, she fixed the broken nail for free and did a worser job.
