If I could I would not even give this place a 1 star. I am an Asian- American with great knowledge and experience with nail salons. I can honestly say this place is terrible! The workers are extremely friendly and do a wonderful job.. However the owner Angel is a nightmare. Is she very rude to customers especially those whom are not her customers. Her bedside manner is awful!! I have seen her arguing with customers specifically seniors in both summer and winter because she does not put the air on in the summer and she has the customers and her workers roasting! In the winter she does not put the heat on it's extremely cold causing customers to have headaches and chills.She is very cheap and is all about money! She picks and chooses how she wants to act with people. Not to mention she is very cold towards her employees!' We had a really nice experience here when I took my daughter to get her nails done for the first time (what she wanted for her birthday). She had a photo that she really wanted to recreate and she was happy with the outcome. Definitely would recommend for nail art & our artist was very careful to make sure the nails were smooth and symmetrical. read more

When I first started going here about 6 months ago, they accepted my debit card. Now, all of the sudden, they do not. Instead, they point me to the rickety ATM in their salon. I get charged $1.25 terminal fee. I then get charged $3.00 fee from my bank. So, $25 gel mani + $5 tip + $4.25 fee because they don't accept cards. Won't be going here anymore. read more

I love going in to visit the ladies of Angel Nails: Jenny, Lynn, & Angel. They always brighten my day & remember your face (and even voice on the phone) when you are a regular. They will work anyone in who walks in and are happy to accommodate any need. I was traveling to Vietnam and they were thrilled- giving me tips, ideas, and even recording a voice memo on my iPhone in Vietnamese about gel color removal so I could get my nails while I was there. They really go above and beyond & the prices are really great for the services. Their gel lasts for so long, especially if you get a gel pedicure. I was on vacation but wanted to keep my paws neat and clean. $20 for spa pedicure is more expensive than my favorite nail place in LA. They have OPI and Essie brands. The soaking part was very fast but the guy did a good job in clipping and filing my nails. I am not used to having a guy (stranger) touching my feet except for reflexology. The massage part was very fast and the pressure was weak. I am used to a longer and stronger massage. My dryer was on and off and the customer across to me complained the same thing. The only gel mani that lasts. Period. I've been to my fair share of salons and this is by far the mani that lasts the longest. They are always really nice and are sweet to my kids. I have never had a wait. There are places less expensive but it's totally worth it. I know I won't have to go back right away because of how good it stays. No chips on their gel ever. I usually have to get them to take it off it lasts so long. I only wish they had spray tanning like their competitors down the block. This is by far the best, most consistent, clean nail salon in the area, in my opinion. I have been coming here for years and have never been disappointed. They accomodate walk ins but have a lot of returning customers, so an appointment is a good idea. Prices are very reasonable and Angel and Jenny are both sweethearts who are great at what they do. Also, I have very sensitive skin and any other place that I have had my eyebrow/lip waxed, I have developed a break out. This is the only place that I have never experienced an issue. read more

She used supplies for acrylic (a drill and extremely rough nail file) on my natural nails, and then had the audacity to say I should cut my nails down because they were weak. Excuse me?! They were long and strong until you touched them. I'll probably have to cut them when this mani is off, but not at this awful place. She continued to use the drill to buff hair color stains out of my nails until I asked her to stop and then proceeded to get globs of gel under my nails. Finally. I found the place for me. I love a thorough pedicure and manicure. Don't be afraid of taking all the cuticles off! I am so very pleased with the service I received. I got a manicure and pedicure for a very reasonable price. They have a large nail color variety and gel as well. It is a $10 credit card minimum to swipe your card. They are so sweet and polite in this business. I made an appointment and arrived about 15 mins earlier and she was delighted. They offer many different services. Eye lash extensions, facials, massages... so its definitely a small business but with a huge selection. Parking is available on street. They are opened Monday- Friday 9-7 and Saturdays 9-6 CLOSED ON SUNDAYS. Always call to double check if they aren't closed for a holiday. I'll definitely be coming back. It's a bit far from my house but from my job it isn't too bad except rush hour traffic doesn't help the cause. But it is absolutely worth it!!! Also, my eye brows are on point thanks to Jenny. So I really wanted to like this place because of how close it is to my house. I've tried multiple multiple nail salon since moving to South Philadelphia two years ago and I'm disappointed with every single one of them! Not only do your nails start lifting three days after you leave this place, but they don't file down the polish in the back so that it's flush with your nail bed. The polish from the dip powder was over of the skin from my nail onto my finger before I even left the salon but I didn't notice. They are never busy. But somehow it takes two hours to get a ManiPedi done. When the place in Cherry Hill that I've gone to multiple times does a better job and shorter amount of time. And seems much cleaner. It's a shame because the ladies are nice but their color selection really is not great and like all the other salons in South Philadelphia unfortunately you get what you pay for read more

Around South Philly, it is hard to find a salon that does UV gel extensions. Till I found this place on yelp. Well, so I thought. I called the store and asked if they had it here. They answered yes, told me it was $50. Then I came to the store, days later and asked to get UV gel. She said okay, just pick a colour. (Mind you, this was my first time ever so I wasn't sure of the process 100%) and then I asked her if we can do some nail art but she said, the person wasn't here to do those type of things which is completely understandable. I picked my colour and she prepped my nails. When I picked my colour, I asked again.. "You're gone use UV gel extensions?" She said yes. And then she started applying the colour but then I asked, "Where is the extension?" She was confused and someone else came in just in time and explained to me they didn't have it here and that they NEVER had it. I was disappointed and just vouched for acrylics but as she was doing my nails, I realized it literally said UV gel $50 on their price sign. I decided to shove my thoughts away and just do the acrylics which turned out nice. But all in all, I was very disappointed to the lack of information and would've rather just went to my usual salon for my nails. I would give this place two stars but since my acrylics were nice, I will give them three but I will not be returning, I rather stick to my usual salon. read more
