Servers are attentive and responsive. Food is great here. I like their country fried steak and gravy. Consistently good.

On my second visit I was able to get a table for my two friends and myself on a bustling Saturday morning. They had never heard of this place and were surprised by the inside after finding it in the strip mall that it's in. (They now have a large banner on the outside to help people find it.) Both of my friends ordered omelets which came with two sides. They were healthy portions and they both enjoyed their meals. I had one of the crepe dishes and they were fantastic! I ordered turkey sausage extremely well done and had to send them back to cook longer. We ordered their cold brew but it was terrible. Tasted really funny so we didn't drink them. We should have had them taken off the bill but we didn't. Their prices are reasonable so it was ok. I enjoyed my visit again and will be back.

I had high hopes for Brunch Café but left feeling pretty disappointed. I joined the waitlist way ahead of time, got the notification that my table was ready, and went inside, only to end up waiting another 15-20 minutes. Meanwhile, other people were just walking in and getting seated right away. After a while, I finally went up to ask what was going on, and they admitted they'd totally forgotten about us. I was so frustrated--especially since I had my nieces with me, who were already tired and hungry. When we finally sat down, it took another five minutes for the waiter to even come by, which didn't help the mood. The kids' menu was nice, though. My nieces got chocolate chip pancakes, and it's great that the meal came with a drink. I had the Chilaquiles, which were good, but I noticed there weren't many vegetarian-friendly savory options. If you're a vegetarian, your choices feel pretty limited unless you want something sweet. Overall, it was just an okay experience. The food was decent but nothing memorable, and the service was honestly awful. I don't know if I'd come back--it's hard to overlook the disorganization and long waits when there are plenty of other places to brunch.

This is one huge establishment. It looked full but wasn't, and our table of six was seated quickly. I had a Rueben sandwich. Why do I do this? I am at a brunch place, and then I order a Rueben. It must be a character flaw. This has no decor, just a vast room to hold the huge crowds.

Went in today on a quiet Wednesday and the girl with long brown hair in the front, I smiled and asked for 3, she didn't acknowledge me she just said to follow her and she nearly ran to the table while I'm holding a 6 month old in a car seat. She threw the menus on the table and walked away not even making sure I was behind her. I almost wanted to walk out after that if I wasn't so tired and hungry. Thankfully our waiter was nice and the food was good.

If you've ever been to Brunch Cafe, you know the secret to their success: 1) Delicious food 2) Friendly and caring wait staff 3) Consistency This has been the mix that Brunch Cafe in Niles had delivered time and time again. They are just as good now as when they opened several years ago. This is a really a testament to their employees and their commitment to getting things right and doing what's best for their customers. They not only have a great selection of breakfast and lunch items, they also have some really good tasting coffee.

Everything tasted good. My boyfriend and I both got a skillet with a side of pancakes. The steak in the skillet was tender and paired well with the mushrooms and onions. Veggie skillet was delicious. Veggies were cooked right. there was the perfect amount of cheese. Pancakes were soft and cooked perfectly. The maple syrup they have tasted real. It didn't taste artificial. Customer service was great. We came on a Sunday morning. There was a wait, but they do serve you fast once you are seated. Our waitress checked on us often. We didn't feel that the service or food was taking long. I would say this is your average breakfast place. Our food was good. No complaints at all! We were satisfied. We will be coming back!!

Excellent cafe for breakfast or brunch. Fantastic blueberry pancakes. And one of the most enthusiastic servers ever. This guy legit seemed to love his job and suggested several things, some of which were tried and enjoyed.

We've been here several times, and the food is always fresh and delicious! Service is excellent. Even though the place was packed, our server still stopped by several times during the meal to offer to refill our coffee cups. It's a popular place for sure, but we were still able to get in pretty soon after we arrived. (Did you know they take reservations on Yelp? Pretty cool.) The ambience is light and pleasant, like a sunny morning, perfect for brunch. I ordered the Lemon Poppyseed Crepes--and I highly recommend them. On arrival it looked like a bit less food than the other meals (some of the tables near us were getting something huge that I think was an omelette of some sort), but two crepes turned out to be perfectly filling for me. The fruit was very fresh, too! I balanced it out with a side of hash browns, which were nicely done, not too greasy like some hash browns tend to be.

Ask the Community - Brunch Cafe-Niles

Do they have bottomless mimosas/bloody mary on the weekends?

Yes. You have to pay for each one.

So I need to make reservations for mothers day?

They don't take reservations. However, Brunch Cafe is one of those awesome restaurants that lets you add yourself to their waitlist via Yelp, so that's the way I do it. You can't be more than 10 miles away when you add yourself to the waitlist.

Hello, Is this place near any train station? I'll be coming from O'Hare. Thanks!

Not really. The closest train station would be the Cumberland - CTA Blue Line station coming from O'Hare. You would have to take a couple buses or get a ride from that station still as it's not walking distance.

I think they have altered their prices to accommodate inflation and the portions were actually small. I'll be about a dollar to two dollars cheaper than the places where they charge more and actually give you a real size entrée. We ordered a kids meal and obviously the kid who was sitting there wasn't actually quiet. They never put the order in. We finished our meal and we just got the kids meal. The manager, you kindly refunded the $6.50 for the kids meal. However, now we had a toddler who was ready for bed, but did not have any food in her stomach. Cozy, nostalgic, and super inviting. We were seated quickly, and our server took great care of us throughout the meal. We started with fresh orange juice and coffee, which was the perfect way to ease into brunch mode. I ordered a small stack of pancakes with spicy hash browns and bacon, while my husband kept it classic with scrambled eggs and toast. And wow...the food absolutely knocked it out of the park. The hash browns were insanely good. I never realized hash browns could pair so perfectly with pico de gallo, but now I'm convinced. The pancakes were fluffy and delicious, and the bacon was thick-cut and cooked just right. This is definitely a spot we'd come back to. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the food somehow manages to be even better.

While there is an "in" and an "out" door, it seems that the host stand and cashier station are one and the same, resulting in a bunch of people queuing. Thankfully, one of the hosts/cashiers noticed, asked if I was waiting for a table, and I was promptly seated. It is perhaps a blessing that the menu lists calorie counts, for I would have ordered the Apple Cinnamon Pancake without a second thought. Only it is 1,880 calories, and that's before the ice cream upgrade that's still tempting me as I read their menu. I ordered the Blueberry instead. What I liked about these is that they weren't overly sweet, and had a hearty amount of blueberries within. I'd also like to recognize that biting into them, I didn't encounter a spray of blueberry-gut-lava that's burned me when I attempted blueberry pancakes at home. However, while not bad, I found them in no way remarkable. Neither the textures nor flavors were anything to write home about. Rather than a gently crisp exterior and fluffy interior, they were instead similar to something between custard and cake. In terms of the service: I thought it was friendly, polite, and once the order was placed, the food came out in no time. Otherwise, the service felt a little inattentive. For example, after I said I needed just a minute to decide, the server did not stop by in longer than expected. Also, towards the end of the meal, it didn't click that I was to pay the cashier rather than the waiter... a little "D'oh" on my part, but a reminder would have been appropriate and welcome. As for the vibe: there is so much wood, if you dumped the restaurant into the lake, it would float! Adding to the vibe are some lighting fixtures with stained glass, and others are decorative, but mismatched, if not outright missing. Staff wore uniforms reminiscent of those seen in old movies. Final verdict: While I appreciate what Walker Brothers is trying to do, and their prices are reasonable, I do not feel the experience was enjoyable enough to warrant a return visit. Okay pancakes, and service that could use some polish are not enough, especially with many fantastic breakfast spots in Chicagoland.

The diner has a classic, retro feel with a checkerboard aesthetic that gives it a traditional diner vibe. It is not very modern or trendy, but it is clean and well-kept, which is really what matters. The space feels simple and comfortable, making it a place someone can visit regularly for a quick, reliable meal. The menu is very straightforward and features typical diner staples. The food was pretty good, but the dishes were very basic with nothing particularly unique about them. It felt like the kind of food you might make at home, which is not necessarily a bad thing, but it wasn't especially memorable either. I ordered an egg sandwich with cheese and sausage ($9.95). I also ordered bacon on the side (3 for $4.25). The egg sandwich was okay, but the bagel tasted like those cheap bagels you would get at a hotel during their complimentary breakfast that come from a bag. The sandwich didn't have anything on it other than exactly what they called it on the menu: a bagel, sausage links cut in half, an egg, and cheese. Nothing on the sandwich was seasoned or flavorful. My husband enjoyed his food much more than I did, and he ordered the Big Texas Breakfast ($12.95). This came with country-fried steak with sausage gravy on top, 2 eggs your way, and hash brown potatoes. He also ordered sausage links on the side (3 for $4.25). The service was friendly, and everything came out in a reasonable amount of time, which worked well for us since we were on a bit of a tight schedule. Overall, Lola's Diner delivered a simple diner experience with homemade-style food. I would come here again, but it wouldn't be my first choice for breakfast.
