We had gryros platter dinner! It was delicious. We got the clown cake dessert! I've been coming here over 40 years and I always enjoy it. The parking is ample . I drive from WI. The servers are friendly! It is a family style resturant !

Have good memories of the Greek diners around Illinois and Omega is one of the major ones... its been so long? It's not as great as I recall and way way pricer. The food was okay but not delicious though the desserts look good the fruit cheesecake since I took home was bland. I had a gyros plate dinner which allotted me an appetizer sides entree and dessert with coffee for a low add fee of $4. Good deal! Everything was meh together. Service was spotty but there was one server taking care of at least 10 tables if not more so I dont blame her. Ambiance was mostly boomer and decor looked like it had not been updated in the 10 years I haven't been here... but it survived the panic so... and they no longer serve saganak... WTFi

Omegas has been around for years and years. We passed it so many times and were always curious about stopping in, but this was our first visit. They have a huge menu, as most Greek Diners do. And, it has a very wide selection of breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. We visited for a late lunch and there were five of us. We were greeted at the door and seated right away. It took a few minutes for them to bring menus by, just a little too long. But we were pleased when we saw the variety of options they offer. I can't speak to what anyone else in my party had. I had a burger with fries. (I know, very original.) I thought it was fair. The fries were good, but the beef in the burger was kind of bland. They also had a variety of specials, which were kind of pricy. I probably should have tried one of those. Since they are specials, I would hope they were made with more love. If we return, I'll try a special next time.

The girls and I were on our way to the children's museum and we made a stop here to pick up some baked goods. We tried the following: Eclair Cinnamon horn Elephant ears French twist Chocolate roll cake with chocolate mousse Napoleon Sweet roll with almond cream Chocolate flute We did not care for the chocolate roll cake with chocolate mousse. The cake was a tad dry and too sweet for our liking. But we thoroughly enjoyed everything else. My favorites are the cinnamon horn, elephants ears, and French twist. I can't wait to revisit and order another box!

We were in the area today and just had to stop in for a late lunch / early dinner! We used to have a location by our house but it closed down. So happy to dine here today. The location is very busy... the parking lot was full but we were able to find one spot. We were expecting a wait and to our amazement there was no wait. The restaurant is huge and there is plenty of seating! The dinner items are around $20 and for $4 more you can get a soup, salad, dessert, and coffee or tea. It is well worth the money! Don't come here if you're not too hungry! The portion sizes are huge! All the food we had was delicious... it was under salted but that is how we like our food. They have plenty of condiments on the table too. My husband had the Corned Beef Omelette with hashed browns and pancakes with sugar free syrup! He liked it but said he would order something else next time! I really had a taste for corned beef and cabbage but that was yesterdays (Saturday) special so I could not order it. I picked the veal cutlet with mashed potatoes and it was delicious and exactly what I was expecting / hoping for. I ordered the dinner and split the Rosa Marina Chicken Soup and the dinner salad with ranch dressing with my husband. We also split the chocolate eclair for dessert. It was cold and so decadent! I would definitely order this again! The coffee was also really good (not bitter at all) If you're in the area you have to give this place a try!

Just a part of the bakery cases - there's a ton more and it all looks amazing!

The woman ignored us and kept doing her paperwork while we stood by the register. We sat down and waited at least another 15 minutes before someone came to give us water. We were asked if we wanted anything else we had set a Diet Coke. The Diet Coke never came until we ordered it a second time. The food was just OK. I think they have altered their prices to accommodate inflation and the portions were actually small. I'll be about a dollar to two dollars cheaper than the places where they charge more and actually give you a real size entrée. We ordered a kids meal and obviously the kid who was sitting there wasn't actually quiet. They never put the order in. We finished our meal and we just got the kids meal. The manager, you kindly refunded the $6.50 for the kids meal. However, now we had a toddler who was ready for bed, but did not have any food in her stomach. All in all, it is not the same Cappy's girl that it used to be. It was very disappointing and even though it used to be a go to for me in the past, it will not happen again.

Cozy, nostalgic, and super inviting. We were seated quickly, and our server took great care of us throughout the meal. We started with fresh orange juice and coffee, which was the perfect way to ease into brunch mode. I ordered a small stack of pancakes with spicy hash browns and bacon, while my husband kept it classic with scrambled eggs and toast. And wow...the food absolutely knocked it out of the park. The hash browns were insanely good. I never realized hash browns could pair so perfectly with pico de gallo, but now I'm convinced. The pancakes were fluffy and delicious, and the bacon was thick-cut and cooked just right. This is definitely a spot we'd come back to. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the food somehow manages to be even better.

While there is an "in" and an "out" door, it seems that the host stand and cashier station are one and the same, resulting in a bunch of people queuing. Thankfully, one of the hosts/cashiers noticed, asked if I was waiting for a table, and I was promptly seated. It is perhaps a blessing that the menu lists calorie counts, for I would have ordered the Apple Cinnamon Pancake without a second thought. Only it is 1,880 calories, and that's before the ice cream upgrade that's still tempting me as I read their menu. I ordered the Blueberry instead. What I liked about these is that they weren't overly sweet, and had a hearty amount of blueberries within. I'd also like to recognize that biting into them, I didn't encounter a spray of blueberry-gut-lava that's burned me when I attempted blueberry pancakes at home. However, while not bad, I found them in no way remarkable. Neither the textures nor flavors were anything to write home about. Rather than a gently crisp exterior and fluffy interior, they were instead similar to something between custard and cake. In terms of the service: I thought it was friendly, polite, and once the order was placed, the food came out in no time. Otherwise, the service felt a little inattentive. For example, after I said I needed just a minute to decide, the server did not stop by in longer than expected. Also, towards the end of the meal, it didn't click that I was to pay the cashier rather than the waiter... a little "D'oh" on my part, but a reminder would have been appropriate and welcome. As for the vibe: there is so much wood, if you dumped the restaurant into the lake, it would float! Adding to the vibe are some lighting fixtures with stained glass, and others are decorative, but mismatched, if not outright missing. Staff wore uniforms reminiscent of those seen in old movies. Final verdict: While I appreciate what Walker Brothers is trying to do, and their prices are reasonable, I do not feel the experience was enjoyable enough to warrant a return visit. Okay pancakes, and service that could use some polish are not enough, especially with many fantastic breakfast spots in Chicagoland.

The diner has a classic, retro feel with a checkerboard aesthetic that gives it a traditional diner vibe. It is not very modern or trendy, but it is clean and well-kept, which is really what matters. The space feels simple and comfortable, making it a place someone can visit regularly for a quick, reliable meal. The menu is very straightforward and features typical diner staples. The food was pretty good, but the dishes were very basic with nothing particularly unique about them. It felt like the kind of food you might make at home, which is not necessarily a bad thing, but it wasn't especially memorable either. I ordered an egg sandwich with cheese and sausage ($9.95). I also ordered bacon on the side (3 for $4.25). The egg sandwich was okay, but the bagel tasted like those cheap bagels you would get at a hotel during their complimentary breakfast that come from a bag. The sandwich didn't have anything on it other than exactly what they called it on the menu: a bagel, sausage links cut in half, an egg, and cheese. Nothing on the sandwich was seasoned or flavorful. My husband enjoyed his food much more than I did, and he ordered the Big Texas Breakfast ($12.95). This came with country-fried steak with sausage gravy on top, 2 eggs your way, and hash brown potatoes. He also ordered sausage links on the side (3 for $4.25). The service was friendly, and everything came out in a reasonable amount of time, which worked well for us since we were on a bit of a tight schedule. Overall, Lola's Diner delivered a simple diner experience with homemade-style food. I would come here again, but it wouldn't be my first choice for breakfast.
