I had been researching breast augmentations since Sept 2022. I had three in person consultations in SoCal. One virtual consult with a notable surgeon in Mexico. And I spoke to over a dozen offices over the phone regarding price, availability, and types of implants offered. I found that many of the doctors made recommendations based on their preferences. I really wanted Ideal Saline Implants, and I wanted to avoid a lift if possible. At one point, I went so far as to book my surgery and put a down payment towards the cost with a famous Beverly Hills surgeon. But when I went in for my pre-op consultation, he seemed to rush through things and was super condescending about my choice to use Saline implants. After meeting with Dr. Champion, I knew I found my surgeon. She listened to my goals and didn't try to persuade me to do something I didn't want. Together, we worked out the best options for the goals I wanted to achieve. In the end, I decided on Ideal implants with an areola reduction. I was previously a 34C, and now settling into what looks like a DD. I've never had surgery, let alone anything more than two stitches. So, I'm sure I was super nervous and annoying leading up to the day of surgery. Once I arrived, it was so awesome to be surrounded by an amazing team of women: an attending nurse, anesthesiologist, OR Nurse, and Dr. Champion herself. I am a woman in my mid 40's that recently got a breast lift and augmentation and CO2 laser treatment of my face, neck and chest. I have been wanting to do this procedure for awhile but have been hesitant for a number of reasons. I felt like I had good breasts but after having two kids; I had lost a lot of volume and gravity took its toll. I was very concerned about having the procedure. I have a professional job and didn't want to look like I had a plastic surgery and I was also very concerned about nipple placement/sensation with a lift procedure. After years of meeting with various doctors; I finally felt comfortable when I met Dr. Champion and knew I was in the right hands. She listened to my concerns, I felt like she understood exactly what I wanted/needed and she executed beautifully as a surgeon. Her bedside manner is impeccable. My care start to finish was first class. The surgery center, nurse, anesthesiologist and most of all Dr. Champion were all fantastic and made me feel at ease. When I woke up Dr. Champion was by my bedside; she called my fiancé to let him know how I was doing before he could pick me up and she checked on me that evening. My results turned out exceptional - I have the perfect amount of volume, the nipple is placed perfectly with zero loss of sensation, my scarring is minimal and the size of implant she chose for my body type is perfect. They also feel so natural/soft, I can't tell the difference from my own breast tissue and the implant. I also did the CO2 laser with the surgery. I highly recommend this procedure; the results are amazing. The downtime was 7 days max. But honestly I looked fine in about 5 days. My coworkers are amazed at how amazing my skin looks. All the sun damage spots from those teenage years laying out in baby oil and going to a tanning booth have vanished. My fine lines and wrinkles are also a lot better. EXCELLENT SURGEON!!! I suffered a bad fall and shattered my cheek bone requiring reconstructive surgery. I had to find a "plastics and reconstructive surgeon" fast before the bones had a chance to fuse...which was quite an ordeal in itself. I met one surgeon and even made a surgical date, but after going to Dr. Champion for a 2nd opinion, I was blown away by her and her staff. I felt more than welcomed and Dr. Champion was incredibly warm and caring...immediately putting me at ease. She explained everything in great detail as to what she would do, why and how... while focusing not only on the internal structures, but the aesthetic aspects as well...after all, this wasn't just a another simple cosmetic case, she literally had to rebuild my cheek bone! I found this most comforting and immediately switched to her. The surgery went extremely well. When I awoke from the anesthesia, Dr. Champion was right there, by my side, explaining how everything went. That night, she even called again to check on me. What doctor does that anymore??? I had several post-op checks thereafter and each time, I met with her directly. It's now two months since and no one can tell I had surgery! I couldn't be happier with the results! Her office staff is amazing and they take their time with you and don't make you feel rushed. I have sought a therapist to help recover in some way from the traumatic experience with Dr Champion. I saw her many times to discuss surgery to tighten small tummy area skin from some wrinkling .. I had no visible scars and so was NOT adamant about the surgery merely seeking advise to possibly improve the skin below my naval with a small scar beneath my bathing suit.. I am an ocean water athlete and live on the beach which led me to this inquiry. She reassured me this was a minimal procedure several times ..one month downtime max. Few days prior she suggested lipo on my flanks and I was very hesitant again no scarring please. Day of... she drew a 4 inch sharpie line way down in my private area 2 inches below bathing suit . Second day post I knew something was wrong.. my scar runs from hip to hip.. ABOVE bathing suit . But she left holes ( her assistant said entrance to flanks would be through ORIGINAL incision ) I woke up to holes on either side of hips one that became infected immediately. She refused to treat it and one week later I saw my MD who began treating me for staph .. the culture showed bacterial infection as Cellulitis instead .. we spent months unroofing and stuffing the hole with treatment and I was unable to compete and train or lead my ocean life for many months . I was seen by several surgeons who to this day cannot figure out why I have huge indentations where she entered my sides. I am told the belly scar equates to cesarean scar . And now with the indentations on either side I look like I have a scar that wraps around my body with 'dog ears' no less. I am on antidepressants and therapy. I will have to reassess further surgeries to repair her work. She offered to return some monies and then went back on that offer and shut down her practice and lost her assistant . It is now a year and a half later and only now I am able to deal with the damage done by Dr Angela Champion. I do remember 2 other patients seeking assistance with their botched surgeries as well. read more
