I had a great experience today with Mia the owner. I had gotten a full set manicure which came with a hot towel and an amazing hand rub with oil and lotion. Mia was so kind and took an amazing amount of time taking off my previous set and doing a full new one with w design on every nail (which she did a great job!) 2 stars. The tech was friendly and did a good job with our pedicures, but the overall experience was frustrating and disorganized. We had a 10:45 AM appointment and arrived early, only to find the salon closed--even though hours said they opened at 10. I called, and the tech said she'd be right there. She arrived, apologized, and let us in. My child got their pedicure first. Partway through, the tech left us alone in the salon for 10-15 minutes. She returned, continued the service, then took a call and invited another customer in, leaving again mid-service to help them. This happened multiple times--each time she'd leave for 10-15 minutes, leaving clients unattended and with no warning. Eventually, I had to remind her that I had also booked a pedicure. She apologized and started mine. During my session, a walk-in showed up and was asked to return in 30 minutes. When she came back, the tech started prepping her while still finishing up with me. After my pedicure, the tech disappeared a third time. The walk-in client asked where she went--I said this was the third time she'd left--and they decided to leave. My child and I were alone for another 10 minutes before the tech returned. We paid via Venmo and left. The whole experience felt disorganized and unprofessional. My nails have areas where the clear coat is missing in a very visible area of the nail. Nails are lumpy and just ugly. The nails are just completely uneven. Horrible experience. Came here for removal of a gel x set after breaking one of my natural nails (pinky on my left hand - my fault). The removal process consisted of them continually soaking my nails in things, aggressively filing the top of my nails to get the gel x off, and then soaking again. It was over an hour and fifteen minutes of this. The buffing and filing was so aggressive that at one point they cut my index finger with the file (picture included). The tools used were not cleaned or sanitized and the file on the electric drill was visibly old and dirty. After about an hour of the soak/buff/wait process, two young women walked in for pedicures. At this point, I was ignored until the phone rang and someone had a spare few minutes to buff out my nails again. I was asked if I would like my natural nails to be shaped and, even though I repeatedly said no, they shaped them anyway. They did not ask what shape I wanted them in and seemed to settle on each nail being its own take on "vague squoval." My natural nails have never been in such a bad state. There are STILL pieces of the original gel x nails that weren't fully removed and parts of my nails are now so thin that they are sensitive to touch. I will not be returning. read more

I used to go here when krystan owned the shop and loved the people and quality of work. These new owners wrecked my nails by over filing the layers of my nails until it hurt while getting a gel manicure. I had to grow my nails out to get healthy again. Then i got a pedicure thinking it would be better with a different person. She was trying to get me to get a manicure as well by saying my nails looked terrible. Do i want her to shape them, i said sure if you want, but I don't get manicures. She barely spoke to me or smiled after that. I wish I'd read the reviews before coming here. It was overpriced and very expensive for the subpar quality and terrible service. I came with my mom and sister, and we were the first customers in. As my pedicure was wrapping up, another woman came in. The nail tech finished my pedicure and started the other woman's pedicure. When the nail tech finished her pedicure, he started her manicure as well, so I just sat there waiting until my mom, sister, and fourth lady were finished. I didn't even get 24 hours. I'm sorry but that's just insane. I went in to have them fixed and then again the next day they all chipped. Horrible.. we got dip and pedicures and it was a rushed and sloppy job. Both of our nails are chunky, uneven, and they truly did below the bare minimum. My mom asked for a tip on one of her nails that was broken and shorter than the rest, the lady quickly looked around to find the tips, couldn't find them, and just moved on and left her nail crooked and short. My nail looks like it was filed sideways. It was clear they were rushing us out of there. I won't be going back, and I do not recommend. Also the place itself is just junky and cluttered. Some of their workers are nice however we asked for two basic pedicures but instead they gave us their "spa pedicure" without asking and charged us 39 each, 78 total. Outlandish of a price tag to begin with. Not to mention, when I got home and took a closer look at my pedicure, some of my nails weren't completed painted with the edges left blank. Two coats were barely placed on the big toe and the rest of the toes had one coat. This was extremely noticeable since I was using a light pink color. Went in for my first time today. Had a 1:30pm appointment, was seated after about 10 minutes and had the soak off put on my nails. They took them off 30 minutes later and I spent another 30 minutes waiting to actually have my manicure start. Once we started, it was the most rushed manicure (for something that took 2.5 hours) of my life. My nails have flaws in them, and color defects. They were perfectly nice, but need to be more reasonable with the amount of clients they can handle, because the poor woman who was working on me was jumping between 3 other clients as well. read more

I've been going to Krysten's every two weeks for over a year. I've had a couple of technicians and now go to Mimi. Everyone is friendly and serious about doing the best job. I had a problem with a polish, but it was not the technicians fault. It was the quality of the polish, which chipped before I came back for my next gel manicure. She took a look and recommended a different polish. Vinnie and Johnny are always pleasant and are vey popular for acrylic nails. Their artistry is amazing! The salon is in the midst of adding equipment and have added many new colors of polish. I'm pretty traditional, but I tried blue nails and I have gotten many compliments. I've read a few negative comments and decided to add my own positive experience at Krysten's. This is a service industry and the techs should be appreciated. read more

I love my nails! I've received so many compliments after getting them done. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. When I first came in, I was planning on getting a full acrylic set--however they advised me to get the dip powder because it would be better for my nails (and I'm so happy I did)! They also give you a discount for the first time trying their dip powder, which is nice. Jony did my nail design. I showed him a picture of what I wanted and he copied it exactly! They always give me exactly what i want they are SUPER friendly , I've never had any issues with them and the work they do is 10/10 and if something ever happened with one of my nails for instance a chip or a break they always offer to repair it even if it was my fault. I've been going here for almost a year since moving to town. Jony is great but management (lady) is pushy and rude. Prices are never consistent and not the cleanest salon. Expect to wait at least 30 mins even with an appointment. I've even been called day of telling me that nail tech only has time to do one service (mani or pedi) after having an appt a month in advance bc they overbook consistently. But today was my last straw. Management is trying to increase their positive reviews and asked me to do one on the spot. Because I don't usually post on social media I declined. After asking numerous times, she then proceeds to tell me my rate was discounted and I would be charged full price without a good review. I was charged $85 for a natural nail mani. I did upgrade the with hard gel and cat eye polish. I was told I had an additional up charge to remove gel polish originally on my nails. His design work speaks for itself, but it's not just that. My nails are rock solid and I can go a solid 30 days or more with no chips in polish or broken nail! He is meticulous in how he does nails, takes extra time and care and charges more than reasonable prices for his time and expertise!!! I highly recommend this shop. Tried this place for the first time for a regular pedicure. Very easy to make an appointment, and the technician was very kind and did a good job. This is very much a "no frills" type of nail salon. The salon is pretty old, basic, and nothing over the top. Came for pedicure. Great nail trimming etc but polish job left a bit to be desired. She had to redo a toe on me and my friend. Even though I had an appt I had to wait 10 min. 27 bucks seems a little steep given the average conditions and lack of decor. They also don't have the newest colors. Oh and they only accept cash for tips. Is this 2004??! Should not have posted before I left the salon! Just went to sit and dry my toes and the chair was missing a wheel and I went almost flying down. How is this ok??? I went in for a pedicure on a Friday around noon. They seated me right away after calling only just that morning to make my appointment. The first thing I have to note is that they were very clean, the tools they used for my pedi came out of a sealed pouch and prior to sitting on my pedi chair, the tub was disinfected. That is a HUGE plus one, they did not skimp on the cleanliness. Secondly, my pedicurist was thorough and took her time with her work, she was gentle, patient, and pleasant as a result my pedicure and overall experience was perfect. I was so relaxed when I left. They exceeded my expectation and I am so glad I gave them a shot. A few things to note: 1) they accept credit cards for payment, but not for tips (pretty standard, in my experience), so make sure you bring some cash for that. 2) They primarily offer OPI and Essie polishes 3) My pedi was $28 4) Their menu board said their regular manis are $12 Give them a chance! read more

I've witnessed the owner/ manager speaking very disrespectfuly to clients while raising his voice and pointing fingers right at the clients face. Not once, not twice.... Very unprofessional and rude.
