I've hesitated about posting this, but I'm hoping these reviews will help them improve to the level of quality they used to have. there's unfortunately been a consistent pattern of not keeping time to scheduled appointments. I have been coming here for a couple of years, and while the staff are friendly -the service is very inconsistent. I am constantly being taken late (15-30 minutes or more) and with different technicians than I book. I feel as though I'm a walk-in every time. If you're not on a schedule whatsoever, and have no preference for who does your service, then this is the place for you. The woman next to me was taken 45 minutes late for her appointment. I agree with what others say in that they are way overbooked, which definitely contributes the issues. Today was my last appointment with them. read more

Quality is poor. I came to this establishment for many years and now with the high amount of clients the quality is very very poor. Service is rushed and they take multiple breaks during my service to text or call family. I always get taken 30-45 min after my appointment time. Customer service and consistency is poor. Many of the nail techs are constantly talking about their clients. Once liked this establishment but this was my last time. read more

I have gotten 10+ gel mani/pedi's here over the last year or so, all with a different tech, and they all do a great job. The mani's last for 3 weeks and the pedi's could probably last for 6. I also work with my hands and don't have a dishwasher so my nails take a beating. beyond satisfied with this place! read more

Im not usually the type to complain or write a review unless its a positive one but after my last experience at tip tech I left so disappointed I felt the need to write this review so hopefully this can be corrected for future clients . I have a medical condition which sometimes causes my hands and feet to sweat excessively. As embarrassing as it is to deal with it's never been something that has stopped me from getting manicures regularly at tip tech because the nail technicians are always wearing gloves therefore if my hands were sweating they wouldn't even have noticed. In my years of getting manicures my hands sweating have NEVER been an issue . The last time I was at tip tech lady that did my nails was not as understanding and began rudely asking me why my hands were so wet . I got extremely embarrassed and explained to her it's a medical condition that I have no control over and I repeatedly apologized for her discomfort of having to touch my sweaty hands .She continues making comments which caused the nosey group of ladies in front of us to turn around and look at me too so at this point I'm sweating profusely out of pure embarrassment while this woman is putting me on blast . A few moments later she went over to say something to her colleagues in another language and they both looked up at me and started laughing . This is also when I realized my nail technician was the only employee that was not wearing gloves .This entire experience was so embarrassing and because of it I will not be going back which is too bad because this has been my go to nail salon for the past 3/4 years . read more

I was acknowledged instantly once entering, everyone was so kind, and they did an incredible job. I had a pedicure and a new set of acrylics, with gel polish and a design. I'll try to keep this short -- I came in on a Wednesday morning because my nails looked absolutely terrible. I'd gotten a full set at some place in Worcester, but she did it way too thin and all my nails broke except one. 9 broken and scraggly nails was tough to look at, so I hurried to Google and found this place. Vivian (I think was her name, that was the name on the station we were at?), was amazing at my take down (it didn't hurt), and she offered me a stylus so I could still use my phone even though my fingers were wrapped in foil. I appreciate that she took the time to cut my cuticles and make it look natural, because a few places i've been up here either charge extra for that, or put the acrylic right on your cuticles. Weird. They also had a TON of beautiful colors to choose from (I like nudes/pales on my hands and brights on my toes). Seriously, a whole wall full of eye catching dip powders and gels to pick from. I must've been there about 1hr tops getting my new dip set. It's a shame I'm just here in Sudbury while my apartment is being renovated, because I have had the worst luck finding a quality nail salon in New England. Price was not steep as some of the other salons around here are, either. I might have to come back to get them to fix the pedicure the people down the road messed up. I literally can't. I'm sorry. I don't like hating on smaller places, but total fail. I asked for ombré nails with pink fading into a subtle purple. How was I supposed to know that the powder that APPEARED to be a light lavender was actually a dark sky blue? Sure, cute, but it did NOT go well with the 'pink' that was actually just the same shade as my nail. I feel like the people doing my nails should know what color the powders ACTUALLY are. So she filed it down and nearly made my finger bleed, then put the powder on, proceeded to take 2 hours, constantly turning to talk to someone else, and the ombré effect? Yeah... not so much. Also, my thumb nail was TILTED. TILTED, DIAGONOLY! PLUS, just a WEEK after I got them done, TWO of them CRACKED. Just CRACKED. My nails under them cracked too, and I was bleeding. I know if you get tips/powder then you shouldn't be expecting to have healthy nails, BUT STILL! Plus, I was overwhelmed and had no idea that tips would also cost an extra bajillion dollars! Wth? I'm disappointed, to say the least. If you get anything, get dazzle dry. Or heck, just get it and do it at home. read more

This was the worst nail service I have ever had done. I had an appointment made weeks in advance and was taken 45 minutes late when the workers knew I had an appointment to be at right after this. They had taken 2 walk in mani pedis just minutes before my appointment was scheduled so when I came in no one was available to do my nails. I was not even greeted by a worker until my appointment was 30 minutes late. I almost completely missed my other appointment which was not able to be rescheduled. I went back later to speak with the person who did my nails about what happened and she was extremely rude and snooty towards me during the entire interaction. This was an all around horrible experience and I would not recommend going here. The service was awful, the workers were rude, and while the nails were good, I could have gotten the same quality anywhere else and had a much better experience. read more

I was a walk in because I failed to plan ahead. There was a nail tech/manager sitting at the front desk and I asked if I could get a ped. She quickly scanned her appt book and said yes, she could take me right now. Well, talk about a rush job - the water was barely filled when she is yanking one foot then the other out of the water to start scrubbing my feet. Quickly dries them, quckly polishes them and sits me in the drying area. So I'm thinking the entire time that she squeezed me in because she was booked solid, but no. She proceeds to go back to the front desk and sits there staring at her book. So my entire pedicure took maybe 20 minutes, start to finish. Then I went to pay and the card listing the services states the pedicure is $36, but she tells me I owe $38 so I questioned it and she said, oh those are old cards, it's $38 now. It's not that the $2 is even a huge deal, but throw the old cards out, or make hand corrections to them! Needless to say, I won't go back there - ever. And to make matters worse, she barely trimmed my nails and filed a few so thin that several of my nails broke in a matter of a day or two. Done here. read more

I've been seeing Yen for the past 15 years. Yes, I'm 29 and have been getting my nails done by Yen since I was in the 8th grade. She's incredible, but I've also had my nails done by almost everyone else who works at the salon, and they're all very talented. My nails are natural, and whenever I have a mani, it lasts 2-3 weeks.... Yep, a regular manicure (I usually get a French mani). My pedi's last 4-6 weeks (regular pedicure). I've been to many, many other salons, since I was out of state for both undergraduate and graduate school, and whenever I could, I still went to Tip Tech. Nothing short of AMAZING!! No other salon or artists come CLOSE to the abilities of the ladies at Tip Tech. read more

It was a very relaxing experience (: I wasn't very talkative since I was tired from working and they gave me a peaceful and quiet place with a good foot massage! I have been going to Tip Tech for the last 15 years and have had all 3 technicians paint my nails. I never choose, just go with whom ever is available. I have never been disappointed! I recently starting bringing my young daughter(5) there for a occasional mani and they could not be kinder/more patient with her. Prices are fair and the mani/pedis are always wonderful! Very nice relaxing atmosphere, they are not rushed and are gentle. Space is very clean. I would love to see new tools/'microwave sanitized tools but they are kept currently in the disinfectant and everything looks very clean. Women seem happy and calm as well - very sweet read more

This is a great nail salon! Van does my nails and I always get compliments- especially on my toes! I see the work that the other manicurists do and I would go to any of them if Van couldn't take me. I do make appointments since they have many regular clients. Back to Van who is both a nail expert and artist. Van at Tip Tech Nail Studio has given me manicures and pedicures for the past 18 years. I have had other manicures when I'm away in NY, FL, etc. and can't wait to get back for Van to work her magic as an artist when she does my nails. I am very particular and detail oriented when it comes to my nails and Van never disappoints me. I have some ingrown toenails which are very uncomfortable and painful until Van gives me a pedicure-----I feel like I have gone to a podiatrist after a visit with her. Not to mention how good my toenails look and how they still look perfect 4 weeks later when friends are surprised that I'm going for another pedicure. The same for my manicures which are usually just regular (not gel) manicures and still look perfect after a week. Nancy and Yen have also given me manicures and pedicures to the same degree of perfection. It is always a pleasure to walk into this family run business.
