Absolutely hands-down the best salon in Natick and the cleanest. I've been going there for about six years and I have seen PT about every three weeks, I wouldn't even think of going anywhere else. I understand that they are closing new management. They really haven't invited any of the staff to stay with them so I won't be going back. This was my last trip much to my surprise. As others have written, the staff is so rude. Not a hello, not a smile. I thought maybe they were mad because I had a 5 o'clock appointment, and I was the last person to leave. However, on line it says they are open to 7:00. They gestured that my nails were dry and I understood they wanted me to leave. I had to remove the things between my toes and the flip flops. Nice sign. Awful service. They do not honor their own gift cards. Bought my gf a gift card for Christmas. We live seconds away. She has tried to use it three times. She has been told, "we are too busy." She asked how long is the wait. They said in a rude dismissive way... "not sure". One other time she walked in during business hours. Literally no one there. She waited for ten minutes playing on phone and then left. Lesson learned: the nicer the signage on an asian mani pedi place the worse they are. 5 star sign. 1 Star service. read more

My nails look great; nail tech was definitely detailed and it shows in my gel manicure. Given that a manicure's turn out is the top priority for going to a nail salon, it bumped up this place's score significantly. The people here are not personable at all. It seemed like an inconvenience for them to be doing my nails and they made no attempt at conversation; like another reviewer mentioned, ignored me when I made a comment like, "I love the color, it looks great." Not a smile. Nothing. The place was freezing. I got a polish change on my toes and a gel manicure and one thing the tech did comment on was that my toes were purple when I went to put my shoes on. Yes, because it's 20 degrees in this salon. Doesn't make for a very relaxing experience. Anyway, those are all issues you could put aside for a good manicure. The main issue was the price. I live in NYC and go to a great place that is new, clean, and has great techs that are so friendly and welcoming. The outside sign says they accept "Walk-ins" I walked in and 1 person was getting serviced. I saw 2 techs and asked if I could have a gel mani and a regular pedicure if they had time. The man looked at me and said "No time." I thought it was rude and waited for him to say I could come back later or possibly tomorrow? After an awkward silence, nothing. Very clean, relaxing and detailed/perfected manicure & pedicure. They really get every nook and cranny out. BUT be prepared to spend 2+ hours. I went in for a simple manicure pedicure, seated right away, and left almost three hours later. Perfection takes time and they gave me all the works (including a hot stone massage) but sometimes you just want a quick upkeep. Perhaps having some faster/cheaper versions of the mani/pedi available for those who are in a hurry. Also prices are up there. They charge $75 for a gel mani and regular pedi with tip $90. That is a bit pricey considering most places in MA are around $30-$50 for same service. They don't have the prices up so you get a nice surprise at the end. Lastly the person that did my manicure clipped off wayyy too much around my cuticles, which looked great the day of, but not so much a couple days later when skin starts growing back out. The young lady working on me pulled a piece of skin on my toe, i pulled back and exclaimed that it hurt, she did the exact same thing again, injuring it further. The Metrowest area has been waiting for a nail salon like this for as long as I have been getting manicures! These spot is very clean, with almost TOO MANY colors to chose from, and the best technicians around! Con is the price however the pro is the gel manicure lasts 3 weeks! I have been coming here since they first opened. I am not sure if other people are going to the same place that have been writing negative reviews, but the employees here are extremely friendly. They care about their customers and the quality of their work. They take pride in their business. It's clean and modern. If they refuse a walk in and it seems like they aren't busy it's because they value their customers time and respect the customer that has an appointment maybe 15 minutes after you walked in. They have the most amount of color options that I have ever seen in a salon. The manicures and the gel last longer than any other salon that I have been to. Yes it does take longer and yes it is a little bit more expensive, but just like anything else you get what you pay for. Way too expensive for this area. I went in for a simple polish change and the service was awful - no customer service skill. Most of the technicians do not speak english (seem timid) and they speak to each other in their language as well (Seinfeld). Took a long time for the polish change and the polish was too thick. They were annoyed and said they would do over but I said let me first see if they will dry (felt badly doing it over). After 10 mins I knew they would not dry so they gave me back my money but I really wanted my nails done over. They were not nice about it and said that I already said earlier not to do over. Black N' White Nails is the best nail salon I've ever been to! The salon is clean, modern and comfortable. The staff was friendly, kind, patient and detail oriented. The pedicure was incredible and included a very cool foot buffing tool to get rid of stubborn callouses and a hot stone leg and foot massage. The gel manicure was flawless. I will definitely be back! Update: it has been exactly 2 weeks since my gel manicure. My nails have definitely grown out, but it is not peeling, lifting or cracking at all. This included a week of vacation where I was swimming in the ocean and pools, digging in the sand with my kids, applying layer after layer or sunblock and not treating my nails well at all. The best gel manicure and spa pedicure I've ever had. A lot of people are reviewing low because they are more of an appointment based salon vs. walk in. I have never had a problem making an appointment, unless I was calling a day before a holiday weekend which makes complete sense! My pedicures last at least 4 weeks and my gel is absolutely incredible and has never chipped/peeled even after 3-4 weeks of my nails growing out. I gave my mom a mani pedi gift card to Black n' White nails. Having been there several times I raved about this place. However, they have very few people working and everytime my mom went in to use the giftcard they said they did not have time for her (she tried six different times) and would not give a future time for her to come back. I am very disappointed. I've been here twice for gel polish changes. Both times the (different) technicians were rough, squeezing my hands too hard and digging the polish off so that I thought my nails would be harmed. They only use manual nail files and they push hard. It's not relaxing. For my pedicure I was hurt several times when the woman was clipping my cuticles. When I jumped a little she reacted negatively. Then she spoke (not in English) about me to another tech working on the person next to me. The second technician looked up right at me so it was obvious they were talking about me. I cannot stand that. They use electric foot scrubbers/files that are not disinfected after each use. They used it on my feet and then wiped the top with a towel and put it back in its place never cleaning it again. I witnessed this on other stations too. During my pedicure an extremely frustrated, customer stood up and yelled "f-off"to the salon manager and left. No one reacted-they all just kept working!! The people working here do not seem to understand American culture. I will not be returning. read more

Called 20 minutes in advance hoping my mom and I could get a pedicure. They were available! We walked in and were greeted right away. The place looks immaculate. The decor and cleanliness was evident as we walked through the door. I never leave reviews- but I have to say, as someone who has frequented MANY nail salons all over south Florida, natick Ma and even some in Maine. This is probably one of the best if not best pedicure I've ever had. Their basic pedicure is something you pay $20+ more for at any other place. Best nail salon in the area, in my experience. All three of the nail techs (and co-owners, I think?) have incredible attention to detail. A regular pedicure includes an exfoliating scrub, and hot stone massage, all for $36 or so. It's amazing. Your nails will look flawless and will last, and the best part is that it's so consistent, no matter who does your nails. This is the only place I can get a regular manicure (not gel) and have it last for a couple weeks. (Their gel manicures are great, too.) This is my favorite place for a pedicure. It never feels rushed. They do a great job at nail care/cleanup, as well as providing the relaxing, pampering experience with all of the scrubbing and rubbing. I also love the little sanding tool used to take of rough patches of skin. However the last two times I have been there I have been very disappointed especially the very last time this time I had two very young girls doing my manicure and pedicure while doing my pedicure the other girl came over and started to do my manicure. I come here to relax and instead was having two girls work on me at once. Their attention to detail is amazing, the color selection is huge, and my gel manicures last over 2 weeks! Yes it is more expensive than most nail salons in the area, but you get what you pay for. The best place for nails I've ever found. The place is spotless, and they sanitize their tools correctly. It's sometimes hard to get an appointment but it's understandable why! They have a ton of colors and are capable of doing all the fun nail art. They are pretty pricey but as someone who works with their hands for a living I've also never had my nails last 3 weeks like they do with Black n White. I highly recommend them! Good job on nails, but people who run/work at the place are RUDE! Period. I have never been at the nail place where they don't talk to you at all! And ignore you when you try to talk. The men was doing my manicure and accidentally cut my cuticle( no blood thank god) and I jumped in my chair cause it hurts! The guy didn't even acknowledge it and kept working further. Weird. I didn't feel respected as a customer. Also, I noted that it was my birthday, no discount applied. Couldn't wait to leave. Unpleasant.
