I had an amazing first session. I did not know what to expect with my first acupuncture treatment, but Angela spent an hour explaining the concept of acupuncture and Chinese medicine. She had reviewed my lengthy medical chart ahead of time and had a very comprehensive plan on how to treat my imbalances. I had been looking for a good acupuncturist for several years and meeting Angela Rosen was a godsend. I have been seeing her consistently for the past few months and can tell you she is an expert at what she does. My first visit I was suffering from some significant cold/respiratory symptoms that seemed to be worsened by what was in the air from the fires at the time. I had been fortunate to not have had any cold/flu type illnesses for close to 4 years prior to this but this past year has been crazy, there was a lot of gunk in the air, and I suppose it was just time. Angela's treatments and herbal supplements helped in reducing the sinus pressure and drainage. I had plenty of the supplements left over and when I recently felt another cold coming on, started taking them again and it seemed to shorten and reduce the symptoms a great deal. After the respiratory symptoms were gone I continued for a series of facial acupuncture and am noticing a difference in muscle tone and brightness especially around the eye area. Angela listens to what is going on and as others have also said, her insights are helpful to allow you to make changes to support your health. I'm not sure if I believe in acupuncture or not, but I know I was down and out when I first went to see Angela, and felt much better mentally, at the very least, after seeing her. I initially began acupuncture because I was frustrated with my fertility issues. I talked to Angela about my lack of progress and she identified that I was actually frustrated with many other aspects of my life as well.
