Breakfast

A really nice family owned restaurant. Food is delicious. I definitely would go again.

We stopped in for breakfast when visiting family in Boston and it was great! The place is small but we were able to wait inside which was great because it was freezing outside. The inside was cozy and the service was great. Pancakes fluffy, breakfast burrito was great, breakfast tacos- amazing! I also loved that it was a Diners, Drive-ins and Dives spot!

Items ordered: Fish taco, Gordita (veg), and Tostada w cactus salad (nopal) [Pozole, veggie taco, and side of mole also on the table] Service: Good service. Very small place and a ton of staff. Value: Prices are very reasonable at about $5 per item that I ordered. The Review: If you had looked at me while I was eating this, you would see tears streaming down my face. The food was so fresh, hot, and flavorful, I was in heaven. I came here with my mom, and back in the day we had lived in Mexico for some time. Angela's brought back wonderful memories and made some new ones too! There were many gluten-free options, and the staff are very knowledgeable about this. The tostada was perfectly crunchy and loaded with toppings. The fish was delicious. I will absolutely coming back to Angela's when in need of a bite from south of the border. Thank you!

Holy Molé this place is fantastic. The house mole with baby back ribs is worth a visit itself but the tacos, gorditas and everything else is also delicious. Wide ranging menu - not the same as "every other Mexican restaurant" in the Boston area. If you haven't been here check it out. Service is fast and friendly and it's a casual neighborhood spot. I believe it gets crowded for brunch and weekend dinner

There's a reason why the ratings are so high for this place. If you're into very generous portions of fresh, authentic Mexican cuisine, served by friendly staff in a super cozy atmosphere, this could be the place for you. The prices were quite reasonable for the amount of food we got. We didn't struggle with a language barrier as the menu was available in English with each dish explained. The seating area is limited, but we got there just ahead of the breakfast rush so we didn't have a wait at all. Expect a wait time though - this place is hopping and we just got lucky this time. I'm still dreaming of that fried plantain. Next time I'm back in Boston I'll be coming here again!

Had to stop by this spot that was just a few minutes' walk away from my AirBnB on my final morning in Boston! I was the first patron there since I arrived just after they opened, but the staff was very sweet & started my order right away. I ordered a cafe con lèche and the Centro America (no pics unfortunately). The coffee was piping hot & had great flavor without being at all too sweet. As for my meal, it was fresh and I did enjoy it but found it needed a little hot sauce for my taste. Very decently priced, especially since my plate was completely full! Would definitely give them another try if I'm back in this neighborhood :)

The best Mexican food in Boston by far,I've been going to this place since 2018 and it never disappoints, you can not go wrong with anything on the menu. Service 10/10 always having super friendly familiar faces ! Veronica and Susan the best servers they been there for years The ambiance is super casual, fast pace nice family restaurant. Do not let the small restaurant fool you, they are able to host large parties

Phenomenal food! Waitress was extremely friendly and helpful. The lighting was perfect and the music not too loud. Again must emphasize every single meal was absolutely delicious and we loved them all. Nothing was left to go

Came here for breakfast right before the waitlist started so we got really lucky Pros: - Angela's Special and Deluxe Rancheros con Chorizo was delicious and hearty! Great portion sizes and flavors - Freshly squeezed OJ was so refreshing - Really friendly and efficient staff - One stall bathroom in the back Cons: - Small space

Chilaquiles

We came here after landing at Logan. The place is very homey and right in the middle of a neighborhood. So street parking could be a little challenging, but they're there. The place is very tiny and can get packed at any given time. We had to wait about 30 minutes to get a table. My wife ordered their deluxe Huevos rancheros con chorizo. These were really good. You get two crispy corn tortillas, kind of like hand made tostadas, topped with refined beans, eggs, chorizo, avocado and queso fresco. The salsa was really good and the avocado and chorizo went perfectly with every bite. The same green salsa was used for the chilaquiles I ordered. The dish is very similar in flavor, just prepared differently. The chilaquiles came with chicken, other than that essentially the same dish. It came with beans, eggs, sour cream and queso fresco as well. I really enjoyed our breakfast here and would definitely come back next time I'm in Boston.

My friends have been dying to take me to this authentic Mexican restaurant for a while. We finally went on a Saturday around noon. There were no available seats so we had to wait outside about 30 minutes for a table to open up. However, it was a beautiful day out so that was not a problem. For drinks my friends had the horchata and hot chocolate while I had the orange juice. Upon trying both of their drinks, I found out you couldn't go wrong with any of them. The horchata was considering light for a creamy drink and the hot chocolate was perfectly sweet. I couldn't tell if the orange juice was fresh squeezed but it certainly was sweet. We shared an order of guacamole and Queso Fundido. You could taste the fresh ingredients in the guacamole but the real star of the show was the melted cheese. Still popping hot from the oven, it provided a beautiful cheese pull before being gently placed in the flour tortilla. My friends ordered a chicken quesadilla and western omelette while I had a Sopa De Pozole. Since this was the first time that I tried this dish, I wasn't sure what to expect. I was happy I tried it since initial fascination was because it was a corn soup. Although a very small portion, since it was the lunch size, the extra side of rice I ordered made up for it. The soup was light and refreshing with the crispy fried tostada. We had no complaints for any of our dishes. To top everything off, we shared an order of the Crepas Con Dulce De Leche. The drizzled dulce de leche was delicious. I did find the pancakes to be fluffy but try so a little of syrup or butter was needed. Overall, we were more than satisfied with our meal and the service. Highly recommend!

She was so excited when she found Cafe Bonjour because they had several gluten-free options on the menu. We took an Uber there right after we landed and were able to walk right in and get a table when they opened, which worked out perfectly because the place started to fill up! It's a cute little spot with plenty of seating inside, and they also had a nice outdoor parklet that would be great in good weather. We asked to sit at the bar so we could watch the cooks in action, which was really fun. The menu had all the classic breakfast favorites like eggs and French toast, along with some lunch options like hamburgers and chicken wraps. The staff was very friendly and attentive. My wife ordered the gluten-free eggs benedict and absolutely loved it. I had the Bonjour omelet, and it was delicious. Overall, this is a fantastic breakfast spot with great food, a fun atmosphere, and solid gluten-free options.

Other than that I'd stop somewhere else for a brunch.

Prior to visiting Boston, I did my research on things to do and places to eat. Every search for…read morebreakfast spots mentioned Mike & Patty's as a must stop for the best breakfast sandwich you're going to get anywhere. Enough said! I'm a huge breakfast fanatic, especially a good breakfast sandwich or burrito. This is the original location that was started by two friends and has grown to multiple other locations since. We took an Uber here from our hotel. I imagine if you drive over here, parking will be a challenge. It's almost easy to miss. It sits on a corner of a brick building with just writing on the windows. In all my research I did not catch that it is the smallest restaurant in Boston at only 175 square feet. It's basically a room with most of the space taken by the tiny kitchen. There's also a little tiny ledge on the window with a couple of stools for those who may want to dine in. Customers including us took turns walking in and putting in our orders and then stepping out to make room for more people. It had a steady line the whole time we were there. Hours are limited from 7:30-2 so don't delay. Customer service was straight business, kind of the norm in Boston. Their menu is breakfast sandwiches, a couple of burritos and some lunch options like a turkey sandwich, BLT, or a Rueben. For sides, they have hashbrowns or a plain English muffin. For a small menu, they do have quite a few drink options like coffee, tea, juices, and different flavored milks including banana milk which I have never seen. For their food, they use high quality ingredients from local farms and purveyors and have their own bakery for their bread. My eyes fixated on the Breakfast Grilled Crack mainly for the name, but also all the ingredients looked tasty. It was quality eggs, bacon, four cheeses on sourdough bread. I went extra and added sausage to it as well. I also got OJ to wash it down. We realized our only option to eat comfortably was to go back to our hotel lobby to eat. Even with the travel time, the sandwich was nice and warm and the bread was still nice and crispy from the griddle. This sandwich was indeed one of the best breakfast sandwiches I have ever had. I almost felt guilty eating it because of how rich and cheesy it was. I would skip the hash brown next time. It did not travel well nor did it have anything special going on with it. Hands down one of my favorite meals of the trip that I would absolutely do again if I am in the area.

Sandwiches with an egg = breakfast right? My go-to is The Fancy: Vital Farms pasture-raised fried eggs, bacon, cheddar, smashed avocado, red onions, and house mayo on toasted Flourhouse multigrain. I would have done the same with my eggs, potatoes and Turkey sausage but I couldn't eat another bite. I wish we had a North Street Grille here but perhaps it's better that I not have easy access to the quality of food otherwise I'd need a new bigger size wardrobe. If in Boston this is an ABSOLUTE MUST HAVE. If we had room and weren't leaving town the same night we'd have bought the banana bread. They provide complementary for each table and it's one of the bestest most beautifully made banana breads I've had. Service was fast and friendly. The lobster sliders were a little too wet for us, but paired well with the fries. We underestimated the size of the salad, but it was a solid salad. We walked into a space that stood out immediately with its design, mixing warm lighting, vintage-inspired décor, and a layout that felt equally suited for a quick coffee or a slower sit-down morning. The room had a relaxed but stylish energy, with enough seating variety to accommodate both quick stops and longer stays, and the overall atmosphere made it easy to settle in for a bit. The menu leans heavily into pastries and breakfast items, with croissants and baked goods being one of the biggest draws. We ordered a few things and found items like breakfast sandwiches, avocado toast, and seasonal croissants forming the core of the experience. The croissants in particular stood out for their variety and creativity, and the coffee drinks were solid and paired well with the food rather than trying to be overly complex. The pastries felt fresh and well made, and the balance of sweet and savory options gave us room to mix and match depending on our mood. The atmosphere is one of its strongest points. It can get busy during peak hours, especially in the morning, which sometimes leads to longer lines and a faster-paced service flow. When it is running smoothly, the experience feels very polished and efficient, but crowding can affect pacing. Service tended to be friendly and professional, though the volume of customers could occasionally make the experience feel a bit rushed during peak times. It is more of a high-traffic café than a quiet hidden spot, so timing your visit makes a noticeable difference in how relaxed it feels. Overall, Tradesman Coffee Shop and Lounge is a strong downtown café option if you are looking for well-made pastries, reliable coffee, and a visually appealing space. It works best as a morning stop or casual meeting spot, especially if you are already in the area and want something more elevated than a standard chain café.
