Cozy shop with DELICIOUS food and drinks. The birria is crunchy on the outside and filled with a perfect blend of cheese and meat, to which you can add your veggies of choice. Their consome sealed the deal and brought all of the flavors together. Their agua frescas were also so delicious. After moving to Boston from San Diego, CA, I've been searching for a good taco that reminds me of what I could get on the west coast. I finally found the place. And I WILL make the trek to East Boston to come here. Their tacos are $3.50 each (or $3.99 if you go for pescado or lengua). You can get a combination plate with 3 tacos, rice, and beans for $13.99 or $14.99. $3.50 or $4 is not necessarily cheap for a taco, but they are generous with the meat portions. At around 8pm they already ran out of lengua. I tried a taco with carnitas, one with adobada, and one with pescado. All of them were delicious! They had the perfect sprinkle of onions and cilantro, and the green salsa they came with gave a nice kick. Again, this place is worth the drive, train ride, bus ride, bike ride, walk, or whatever it takes to get here. I've had carnitas before that was dry and disappointing, but the carnitas here was deliciously fatty. It had a lot of flavor without being overwhelmingly salty (I'm looking at you, Chipotle). The next time I come here I'll be taking a couple pounds of their carnitas home with me. Currently they are only doing takeout. There are some nice parks by the water where you can go enjoy a delicious meal with a beautiful view. read more
