    CALIFORNIA OMELET
    Crystal T.

This place draws a very large crowd, and I was excited to finally try the food. I ordered the California omelet with home fries and a cinnamon roll pancake. The dishes were flavorful, but some of the flavors overpowered other components of the meal, so I would try different items next time. I also tasted the loaded potato omelet and the Chunky Monkey pancake. I thoroughly enjoyed both of those. The service was fast, but one downside was the number of gnats flying around the restaurant, which was off-putting and definitely affected my overall impression. The restaurant is very small, so I highly recommend making a reservation if you plan to visit.

The food and service were both amazing. They have a very creative food and drink menu along with your classic breakfast/brunch staples. There wasn't a single thing we tried we didn't love. The banana bourbon French toast is a must it was absolutely amazing! On weekends I would grab a reservation it's a smaller dining area but definitely worth the wait.

Food was excellent as usual and very fast! The meat lover omelette is a go to and the build your own omelette that was delicious too. Cocktails on point, there were seasonal drinks too. One host seated us as I had a reservation and another of host was rude like I have a group coming and I need 'this' table... I believe one shouldn't give attitude to customers maybe communication with other hosts/peers so that the team is all on the same page. So that started the morning off a bit strange... it is a small establishment, tight spaces, reservations recommended.

My husband and I had a great breakfast here today. We shared the Boston cream pancakes and the banana bourbon French toast-both of which were rich and sweet, in the best way. We probably could have just eaten the top pancake with all the toppings and ignored the two underneath it, but I don't know if you can get that one as a single pancake (other flavors you could). We ate at the bar, and the server was so friendly and nice. It's a tiny place with some tables and a bar counter, so get there early if it's a weekend and you don't want to wait long.

We looked for a place to have a late breakfast before the days adventures and decided to get a reservation the day before to give them a try. The restaurant was busy but not crazy like during a weekend. We sat right away and everyone from the host to our server were friendly and attentive. The restaurant is small (as with most cities with small places) but we did not mind. As for food we ordered the scrambled and cheddar on a croissant, 2 eggs with turkey sausage, mixed greens (extra) and a pancake (extra), latte (they only have regular milk) and a regular coffee. We did not get to try their complimentary piece of banana bread, but the food was fresh, made to order, flavorful and a good portion. Definitely give them a try for a good breakfast in Boston!

So we had a couple people recommend this place and so we gave it a try. As I walked inside I realize that I had been here before, just 8 years ago! I remember the service was fast and the food was unreal and boy have they not lost their charm. The service was extremely fast and the food was in another level. This place has something for everyone and the food is so filling and fresh! It's a must

Yum! Tucked into a small dining room North Street Grille is serving really tasty brunch to as many folks as they can fit in the room. A little cramped in space but not in flavor. The Boursin in the California omelet was a relevation and the home fries are not to be skipped (although my subbed salad was delicious). Great brunch option, easy laidback service.

The north Street Grill is branded as the best brunch in Boston. In fact, they have the domain name bestbrunchboston.com! They offer all the classic breakfast and brunch comfort foods, but with their own flavor flare: blueberry cobbler pancakes; banana bourbon, French toast; lobster Benedict. I've eaten here three times and had fabulous food at each. The places quite small, with maybe a dozen tables and half a dozen seats at the bar. The staff is casual and attentive. The atmosphere is a little loud, due to the small space, touching the neighboring table about a foot from yours. (this is the only reason I had to take away 1 star.) THE DEAL: if you want a unique twist on classic crunch, favorites, or simply the best brunch in Boston, come to the North Street Grill!

Such a great local for a dress! A huge man for everything you've ever ask for. The staff and servers were great. It's a little tight but very cozy. And probably a waitlist if you go during prime hour. Highly recommend the spot, food was 10 out of 10.

Came here for brunch and had a pleasant experience. The place is small, so expect a wait. My group was 7 and it was about a 45 minute wait. Our server was very attentive and very friendly. We got a few items and the standouts were the Mac n cheese and the banana burbon French toast special. Everything was well cooked and flavorful. This place is very popular apparently and for good reason. Would absolutely recommend and come back.

I stopped in this morning (Saturday) with my husband around 10am without a reservation. Located in a small storefront, the restaurant was packed. We were quoted a 25 minute wait. Once we were seated we had great service by John. We ordered and split the sweet and salty sandwich and the chicken and waffle sliders. Both were delicious and I'm glad we opted to split. Portions were generous and everything arrived piping hot. 10/10 experience and based on the line that was continuous others thought so too!

Went here for breakfast and north street grille just continues to hit the mark! We got the Bloody Mary and mimosa flight for drinks- both were delicious. I really liked the apple cider mimosa! The banana bread that was brought out at the start was as usual delicious. For breakfast I got the blueberry cheesecake French toast. It comes with maple syrup and butter but it doesn't need them honestly- I didn't touch them at all. The blueberry sauce is delicious and pairs so well with the cream cheese in the French toast. We had a reservation and were seated quickly- although usually you don't need one. We were glad today though that we had one as it was packed and quite busy! We've been here many times before and will continue to go back!

Do they having dedicated parking or valet? Thanks!

It's all street parking. Recommend to park in a nearby parking garage and walk over.

    Do they do takeout?

They have take out so you're in luck! I asked while I was eating brunch this morning. Call in any day of the week they are open. This is super convenient because they get quite busy. Especially on the weekend.

Portuguese Egg Tart葡撻: The shop keeps the egg tarts in a warming box, which is very thoughtful. I've always preferred the cookie crust of old-fashioned Hongkongese egg tarts; they don't crumble or feel sticky in your throat. The custard filling looked a bit overbaked on the surface, but it was still smooth and creamy inside. The milk and egg flavors were qualified, and it was not too sweet. While not particularly amazing, it definitely deserved 4 stars, especially for a Cantonese person like me who hasn't had egg tarts in a long time. Hongkongese Egg Tart蛋撻: The crust is the same as the Portuguese egg tart, but the custard filling seems a bit more diluted, with a lighter milk flavor and a stronger egg flavor. People who aren't used to it might find it a bit eggy. I still prefer the former. Custard Bread奶黃包: Recommended by the owner, and it was definitely the best thing there! I ate it the next morning, but the bread was still soft, and the crust wasn't dry. The custard filling was generous, sweet, creamy, moist, and had a slightly grainy texture. Sausage Bread腸仔包: The seasoning was quite interesting, with a hint of wasabi (?). However, the sausage itself was just average, with a slightly starchy texture. Breads generally cost $2-4 each, and here four items were only $8+, enough to last me all day Important Reminder: Cash only for orders of $10 or less.

It was adequately busy but still had seats open. The lunch menu is very affordable! If you can, I'd highly recommend going for lunch instead of dinner. Service was really quick! Received my meal in like 5-7 mins after ordering. Fish was super fresh and I really liked the different textures in the Hoseki Don. I also added in negitoro. They gave me a big clump of it! The second time I went back, I ordered take out so I could eat it at the airport for dinner. I ordered the Sake Maguro Hamachi don, added ikura and negitoro. Again, so impressed with the quality of the fish and the size of it. They didn't skimp out and really enjoyed the thickness of the sashimi despite it only being 3 pieces. Although their names seem to have nothing to do with each other, they share paper bags and some products. Are they sister shops run by the same team? Egg Tart蛋撻: Since there was no insulated box, it was cold, which is a shame compared to Corner Cafe. The egg and milk aromas were masked, but there was a slight eggy smell. Portuguese Egg Tart葡撻: Although it was also cold, I preferred the baking. It had a thin crust, and the filling was still smooth and delicate, with a richer egg, milk, and sweet flavor. Butter Bun奶香包: The best product, but I forgot to take a picture... I unexpectedly encountered "Little Swell bread微波麵包," something that has disappeared in China for a long time.
