My mom had been living in a large assisted living facility in another county. She had been…read moredeclining cognitively since contracting Covid-19 in January 2021. She saw a neuropsychologist and after extensive testing was eventually diagnosed with major neurocognitive disorder (dementia) related to multiple factors. Her facility did not have a memory care unit and my wife and I had previously discussed moving her closer to us in Riverside County. I also wanted mom to live in a facility with a smaller number of residents and higher staff ratios than her large facility. My neighbor's late husband had resided at ICC some years ago and she was always pleased with his care in their memory care unit. After researching and doing some homework, we contacted Luz Rodriguez in ICC's marketing office. We met with Luz , discussed all our concerns and questions about whether ICC would be a good fit for my mom. Luz was wonderful and reassuring. From our initial meeting with her in late June, we assembled the required paperwork and necessary forms. A nurse from ICC went down to my mom's then-facility and assessed her as appropriate for their memory care unit. We moved my mom in on July 17th and met the caregiving staff and nurse assigned to her cottage. House manager Bernetta, LVN Daniel and assistant manager Paulina were all so welcoming and accommodating. Luz also was available to assist on a Saturday, and stayed even though we arrived much later than planned. Nurse Hazzel has also been diligent in communicating with mom's primary care physician about any medication changes and adjustments. Mom has been there about two months now and we couldn't be more pleased. She needs assistance with just about all her activities of daily living and staff are very responsive to her needs. Mom is kept clean and dressed appropriately. She is again getting her hair done regularly and even has polish on her nails! Our communication with staff whenever issues arise is first-rate. My wife and I visit unannounced regularly and are always welcomed and treated with respect. There have been some rough spots and anxious moments for my mom, but these have been handled promptly and professionally. Mom is still adjusting and getting used to this new place, routine and faces, but we remain confident that ICC will continue to meet her needs going forward.

By end of day on Tuesday I called my primary doctor office to get a new referral for home support. Wednesday morning I called the new referral authorization they said they did not have the authorization yet even though I gave them the number. I destiny home health.com/ waited 5 hours & called back still they had not received authorization. I call my medical center back ask them to fax it to Destiny home, I waited 20 minutes & called them back to see if the received the authorization and believe it or she then told me they don't have staff to cover & was rerouting my authorization back to my pro. All these facilities are so unprofessional unbelievable. Not even my dr will reach out to to assist. SAD PART IS IM AFRAID OF NOT PROPERLY HEALING BECAUSE I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT PT EXERCISES I NEED TO START ON MYSELF. So far, we've utilized the VA resource and housecleaning, which has been great. The girls are respectful, always checking their checklist before beginning and after, making sure everything is to our satisfaction. We are considering other services very soon. The overall…read moreinteraction you will have with Monique is dubious from calling the company to their marketing scheme in the Moreno Valley local advertisement. I initially reached out to the company for their lawn services and bi-weekly home cleaning services. When I called the company it sounded as if it was a legitimate business with a calling center or at least an office of individuals that could assist you. After my interaction with Monique, it was clear that it was only her on a voice recording for her cell phone. When her and her husband visited my home, they gave me a quote for the services they would provide and the cost. Upon arrival for the first visit, she brought what looked like teenagers to do the work. I just assumed it could have been a family business and continued to let them clean until I noticed that they left every door open in my house while I was upstairs with one girl showing her what I wanted to be done. This allowed our dog the opportunity to run away and it took over 30 minutes for me to find him is I wondered the streets in search of him. Luckily, a few of my neighbors were kind enough to help and at no time did Monique apologize or ensure this wouldn't happen in the future. Although I experienced all of these issues (and I had prepaid for both the lawn and house services for two weeks), I allowed them the opportunity to continue to provide services. Monique would return my text that I sent during office hours after 10pm which is unacceptable and unprofessional. I asked for emails, copies of forms and other documents that were never sent which clearly displays an extreme level of incompetence and completely unorganized. Monique could never arrive at the scheduled time, the lawn person changed the days they would come without my knowledge and they advertised a marketing scheme that I completed and they never honored their commitment. It frightens me that this company was allowed in my home and they may be in the home as others. Moreover, I am petrified that they identify themselves as a "General companion care, medication reminders... errands, organization (bill paying, mail sorting)..." company when they are not. My husband and I work extremely hard for everything we have and to think that I trusted them into my home and they tried to extort money out of us. Please beware and keep your family safe. I do have email correspondences available as well as additional text messages for anyone who may also be a victim to the wrongdoings of this company or may want to see how they do business.
