Horrible experience. Yes, my nails were done just fine. But ... I had to sit there with the owner yelling in Vietnamese and sounding like she was berating the woman doing my nails the entire time. Here I was sitting there and LOUD yelling through the whole time. We've been here many times, but the last time we went will probably be the last time we went. We made an appointment several days ahead of time. There was miscommunication and the business called us and asked where we were, not very nicely. We had to explain that the reservation wasn't for that day, but the following week. They made it clear that they were not happy that we "were a no show". When we did show up, with an appointment for two people, there was only one person doing pedicures. So we were unable to get out pedicures done at the same time, even though they had told us that we could. When it came time to pay, I presented my debit card. It was brought back to me with an announcement that it didn't work. I had to go to the desk and watch to show that it worked. She kept pulling the card out while the machine said "processing" instead of waiting until it completed. She was intentionally making sure the card didn't go through, since she told me "next time, help me out and pay in cash." Their sign says they accept cards, but they aren't happy about it, it seems. Being dishonest is the worst thing anyone in any business can be! Two of the workers there and I won't mention names but one is a woman and one is a man. They have tried to get over on me twice! It's very bad how they do business. My pedicure looked like I did it! ***DO NOT GO HERE!!*** This place needs to be SHUT DOWN. The reuse of single use items is unsanitary! I saw them using an old nail drill on a client. They reuse files and buffers. This place is just not clean at all their towels are so old and dry when the lady was wiping my hands it was literally scratching my skin. She was also cleaning off the polish from my cuticle with a super dry and DIRTY brush! It wasn't even wet with acetone or anything. Not to mention she also cut my cuticle too low that it hurts, I got home and immediately sanitized my hands. ID RATHER PAY THE PRICE AND RECEIVE A QUALITY AND SANITARY MANICURE. I had an awful experience at this salon and would never recommend it. I arrived at 9:30 AM asking for a French tip design, which they assured me they could do. I had long nails, perfect for this style, so I trusted them. The person doing my nails was clearly inexperienced, but I decided to give her a chance. I told her twice that the lines were too thick and that without the proper brush, it wasn't going to look right. Instead of fixing it, she filed my nails down much shorter, even though I never asked for that--completely ruining the shape needed for the French tip design. When the owner checked, she decided to remove all the polish and start over, but by then my nails hurt and she filed them down even shorter. At that point, the French tip wouldn't work because my nails were too short, but she still went ahead. After two and a half hours, I left at 12 PM with horrible nails that I had to immediately get redone at another salon. They had to remove everything again and completely start over. To make matters worse, they overcharged me $82 when the nails were supposed to cost $30 and the pedicure $50. I even left a $10 cash tip for the person who did my pedicure and now I'm not even sure if she actually received it. This place is an absolute disaster--no respect for their clients' time or money. Don't waste your time here! read more

James did my pedicure and gel builder on my super short nails so I can get them growing.. The pedicure was awesome and my nails were great. They gave me some champagne and we had a really great time. I'm honestly not sure why Jenny gets so many good reviews. As much as I wanted to like this place, I just can't. Jenny was very unprofessional. She wouldn't let me look at my nails before curing them, even though I just wanted to make sure I liked how they looked before it was too late to fix anything. Every time I asked to check, she seemed irritated. I even had to tell her to please be patient because I didn't want to go home regretting not speaking up. At one point, she filed off some polish on one of my nails and didn't even bother to buff it before curing it, so now that nail looks scratched up. It honestly felt intentional. If she could see the nail art wasn't turning out right, why proceed and cure it anyway? Smh. Very disappointing experience--I won't be coming back read more

They squeezed me in same day to get a fill for acrylic nails that I had done earlier this month at another place. I also came with a broken nail and Jerry, my nail tech did a great job overall. Really happy with my nails and the overall experience. Go get your nails done here if you want a no fuss, quick experience. My only reason for not giving them 5 stars is that it cost me $60 for a fill and also the broken mail that he replaced was a different shade of pink than the rest of the other nails and some of the French tips he drew, the polish bled through and looks a bit messy. Safe to say I'll still be going to my usual nail tech but this is an OK option for emergencies. read more

Well.....I called and spoke to someone and made an appointment with ANGELA last week only to find out that they lied to me. Angela doesn't even work there anymore. They didn't know that I'm a loyal customer and have been going to Angela for YEARS. And I don't know why they couldn't tell me where she was. And why they would keep the same salon name? Seems shady. Luckily a friend of mine got her information for me and Angela is now working at a nice salon in San Mateo. I'll take my business there. read more

Not sure why Jenny has good reviews. Maybe it's because I just did a regular manicure and pedicure but it was such a botched job. She did my manicure like she was in a rush but there was literally no one waiting. So many missed spots on the edges of my nails. The main reason I'm giving a one star though is because of the pedicure. My pinky toenail is essentially split in half and Jenny basically pulled that part of my toenail which really hurt. I yanked my foot from the pain and told her it hurt because she pulled my toenail but I didn't get an apology. A professional would be able to differentiate a nail vs dead skin/cuticle. Then on one of my big toes she made it bleed when she was removing the cuticles and I didn't get an apology for that either. I definitely won't be back. read more

I love this place! After moving back to the area over a year ago, I struggled to find a solid nail place that could meet the standard I was used to at my old spot in Pacifica. When I finally stumbled upon Angela's, it was a total blessing! I'm very particular about doing variations of French tip and both Jenny and Tony have always done a fabulous job. My acrylics last over a month without lifting (and my nails grow pretty fast). I usually also do a gel pedicure every other month, and they're honestly the best. They are also extremely affordable given the area and the quality. I really can't say enough good things. read more
