I'll admit, the initial smell reminded me a little of an old Las Vegas casino, but don't let that fool you. This is the only true sit-down restaurant in town, and if you're looking for a romantic dinner, this is the spot. We arrived right at opening, and the bar already had regulars enjoying their evening. We were seated in the main dining room, where it was just us, and another party of four. Kara, who greeted us, was bubbly, personable, and welcoming. Our server, Alicia, was equally wonderful. Both ladies were knowledgeable about the menu, quick with recommendations, and incredibly attentive. They had that sixth sense of knowing what we needed before we even had to ask. We ordered a nice variety to share: the tempura, seasonal fire-roasted artichoke, fried zucchini and squash, spinach salad, Malaysian shrimp, Pacific cod fish & chips, and the top sirloin steak. Honestly, we walked in with zero expectations, but this small-town steakhouse really delivered. The food was delicious, but the service stood out as truly top notch. Kara and Alicia made the experience memorable, and for that reason alone, we'll definitely be back the next time we're in town.

Although the wait can be a bit they are super fast. I had the waffle combo the second time we went. delicious. Had a bite the first time and just had to come back for it again. Also had the sausage patty. OMG this was next level. Biscuits and gravy were also delicious. My daughter liked the waffle as well. My son and his wife liked the enormous pancake! Diner is really small and decorated with stickers and money, very cute. We will define come back here when we are back in town. Highly recommended!!!

Here's why: we arrived at 9:50 for breakfast, 6 adults and my 2 year old. We put our name in, and were told it would be 45 minutes. 50 minutes in the heat outside goes by. (Two of the adults are in their 80's mind you.) We're really hungry lol. Two 4 seater tables finally open up in this tiny place. A small family of 3 shows up and knows the hostess (pixie haircut and piercings, don't know her name but can't miss her.) she waves them in and gets them one of the 4 seaters, no wait for friends I guess! 2 minutes later a third 4 seater opens up in the same row but she sat her friends at the one right in the middle. So they call our name and then tell us we have to separate our family to get seated and take the two 4 seaters on opposite ends of the table they gave away. They don't give a (insert your favorite curse word here). I guess it's okay though because they warn you on their menu that the staff might be moody lol! A great scapegoat for terrible service. Never again. Here's a tip to anyone reading: go literally 1 minute west down the road and eat at the first restaurant you see. They were phenomenal!

Without him, there's no Star Wars, 12 angry men, The magnificent seven and etc. Today, I made it to Mountain High Resoruce at Wrightwood. I can't live without " SNOW". Your blessing in the snow and here I am in the Bullwheel at winter storm warming. This place is unbelievable affordable and family friendly. Cozy, Comfortable and Blessing if you're thinking about snow when we were young, and all the good times we had, cheers us up. Unfortunately, I've to live in Los Angeles that no one know what is meaning of " Whiteout". When it snows - I have unlimited freezer space. I'm so itching to visit Vermont where friend of mine moved due to her glacier hiking and climbing hobby. You shouldn't be complaining about " service" because this is not a fancy snow resource from Colorado! #ykyk Just a 2 hour drove from the valley - Los Angeles. Pls if you ever made it, I'd say grab a cold beer and chx stripe could be paradise when you into blessing came down from the sky which everything like a fluffy white blanket and makes for a picturesque panorama! A lot of non skiers waiting for friends and family to get out of ski school or finish skiing. The coffee is very basic but it's good. We sat for hours and watched and listened to Victor CARE for everyone who came in. From his food and beer recommendations to his welcoming smile his customer service is unmatched and it truly was a joy to watch him interact with everyone who came in out of the cold. If you get to see him make sure to give Victor your brightest smile and biggest tip! Mt High is lucky to have him!!
