Had a quick breakfast at this location. I have eaten at this one several years back when working in the area and the breakfast was really good. The place is small and personable excellent service. I ordered a simple breakfast but the quality of the food at this location doesn't seem good. Pancakes were gummy, the bacon was scorched as opposed to well done and crispy, eggs were not prepared as ordered. The place wasn't even full but it took a half an hour to get a simple daily special breakfast and it wasn't good at all. Coffee was excellent, fresh and hot and the wages kept refills going. Basically, I donated 20 bucks for a hot cup of coffee. The other location The other locations are much better. read more

Stopped in here due to Yelp reviews as we drove to Los Angeles from Big Bear. My French Dip was A+ however my wife's tuna melt caused her to be sick in bed + bathroom for 48 hours - either the tuna or the mayo had gone bad. This restaurant is family owned and run, which we love. They are so friendly and gave great service. It was like being home and around family. The food was deliciously authentic. Husband and I came to share the Paul Bunyan breakfast. We decided on having out three eggs scrambled (nice and fluffy), pancakes (cooked perfectly), hash brown (a bit undercooked and greasy), and sausage and bacon...here's where the disappointment happened. Bacon slices were super thin, and sausage was...subpar. I think they are buying a different brand because it was much much better quality bacon and sausage. That's enough for me not to want to come back for bkf. Service was great. Ambiance always nice for such a little spot. One more thing, 3% surcharge if you pay with a card. This place amazed me with how good their food was. Our server was very polite and very good at what she does. If you are looking to support a Christian place the play Christian music the whole time i honestly thought this place was great. So there are multiple Molly's in the high desert but first time I have been to this one. It is a small old school diner that is open for breakfast and lunch. The food here is ok but not as good as the other Molly's. The water damage stains on the ceiling tiles is kinda gross and makes me wonder about the care and cleanliness of areas you can't see though. Definitely needs a deep cleaning here. As far as a service went they were awesome. Prompt and quick with everything and they made sure to check on you. read more

It had been awhile since we've eaten at this Mollies. The food was good as usual but the service was definitely lacking. I ordered the $9.99 waffle special but when I received the check it was $12.89. When I told my server about it she said it was because they gave me an extra sausage. I asked her to change it but she acted like it was my fault. Won't be back since we have quite a few great breakfast options in the high desert. read more

While working with another Technician out in the Apple Valley area, we stopped into Mollie's Kountry Kitchen for lunch. There were so many good choices on the menu that I finally set my sites on the Grilled Rueben; Corned Beef, Cheese, Sauerkraut, 1000 Island on Grilled Rye which was spectacular. The fries were hot and crisp and equally delicious. The services was good but you could tell that this was the end of the day for them and the waitress was tired. They are only open for breakfast and lunch and with some other projects coming up in that area, I know that we will be stopping back in for a late breakfast or early lunch at Mollie's. read more

Not sure how I haven't reviews this little gem before. The food here was always good! It still is pretty good, just not the same after Netty left. The sevice with Netty (spelling) was always amazing!! She kept me coming back almost weekly. I missed her after she went on maternity leave. The new staff is cheerful and nice but I'll be honest I do go as often. This was my favorite place up here in the high desert to have breakfast. Now I'm open to trying more places but I hope you won't be disappointed with your visit. My one less star is for cleanliness, I know it's and old building but it could use some TLC. read more

This is a small, quaint restaurant with good, old-fashioned, no-frills greasy-spoon diner food. You know, the kind of place you'll see an old-timer drinking a cup of coffee and reading the newspaper as he eats his ham and eggs. (We actually saw one of those guys doing those things while we were there.) I got the garden omelet, which was loaded with vegetables like onions, peppers, mushrooms and spinach. It came with a side of home fries and toast. It was super good and filling -- so much so that I couldn't even eat my toast! We also got the kids' pancake breakfast, which was really cute because they made the pancakes in the shape of a mouse, with banana slices for the face! The kids really enjoyed seeing that. Biscuits and gravy was also on the menu, and we had to try it because we live in the Midwest and are always searching for good biscuits and gravy on the West Coast. They were fine, but not great. Just as you can't find good burritos in the Midwest (no, you really can't), you can't find good biscuits and gravy in Southern California. Just nope. One gripe I had with this restaurant is that they serve margarine instead of butter! What! That is a total turn-off for me. Especially for a breakfast place, margarine is a total buzzkill. read more

Love the food and the wonderful people who work there. My grandson goes with us when we eat there and he is autistic. He loves people wanting to greet and talk to them, the people seem to love his funny personality. Mollie's has nice quaint atmosphere , good service and great food. I have been seeing their location , on my way out to offroad in Johnson Valley. They are located in a strip mall off 2nd street and Bear Valley rd. The parking lot has easy access if you're hauling a trailer. As for the food I ordered the Eggs Benedict . The price is on par with other establishments however they serve 3 eggs instead of 2 . The quality was superbe. Their coffee definitely scores points as well. Service is good and you don't have to wait for refills. There is quite a few regular clientele that showed up , but it still never affected the service. Definitely my 'go to joint now ! read more

There appear to be a few Country Kitchens and we picked the wrong one. The server, an older Hispanic woman with her husband sitting at the counter, called my guest a "lesbian" in Spanish. My friend is a man so I never understood that but was still rude to say the least. Cute that they have Halloween type mannequins at every other table for social distancing but they could start with the fry cook who wasn't wearing a mask. Probably the best food in the High Desert. We eat there about three times a week and have never had anything but the best. The service is second to none, everyone right down to the dishwasher are always ready and willing to assist you with anything you might need or want. Great breakfast food and fantastic service! My family and I came here on Thanksgiving morning to grab a bite before heading over to the grandparents' house and we were not disappointed. It's in the same strip mall as a burger joint, liquor store and a variety of other businesses, so it's easy to miss if you're not looking for it. It's small with limited seating, so the wait usually deters us when in the area. We were lucky because I don't think a lot of people realized they were open on the holiday, but when they did, the crowds started forming. For food I got the breakfast burrito. It was under $4 and came stuffed with eggs, cheese, hash browns and sausage. A nice portion for the price. My brother got the biscuits and gravy that was also cheap and came with bacon and eggs on the side. We were all full and happy with our full tummys to hold us over until the main feast. The food is super cheap. Three meals with three drinks was about $20. Our server was fantastic and super attentive. When she wasn't coming around to check on us, another person was. I'm happy to report that my coffee cup never reached the halfway mark and the wonderful lady even offered me some joe to go. I'll definitely be back next time I'm visiting grandma. read more

I didn't catch the server's name, but the young lady working that day was patient and helpful during our deliberations and then delivered friendly and attentive service. I normally go here in the late morning or afternoon. I've never seen it where I had to wait for a table. I love the huge cinnamon roll. French fries are wonderful. My friend got a veggie omelet. The servers I think do a Great job, keeping our drinks filled. It could use some updating, such as new wallpaper and paint. Thursday, Farmers market day. Normally I have a snack at the market but nothing looked that exciting this morning. Stopped at Mollies and ordered Machaca and corn tortillas. The staff of one was very nice and attentive. My meal came and ever thing was super good, delicious beans. All was cooked to perfection, then I opened the tortillas. When they hit the air I saw them turn in to buffalo hide. Old nasty dried out things I wouldn't feed to my chickens. The cook was Latino wearing a hat with Fernando across the front. Do you think his name could have been Fernando? I guess in my fantasy world someone would have said oh, I'm sorry were out of corn tortillas. Maybe the cook could have come out and said they missed the delivery and our corn tortillas are just not good enough to serve. What was I thinking, oh well? Does make you wonder what else might be bad and they try to pass it off to the customer. I was going to leave four stars because the food was good. But for a Mexican cook to serve bad corn tortillas, it's just wrong. Hence the one star. read more
