Drink menu for brunch
Wincy Y.

I came on a weekend, and was able to get a table in the back patio for brunch. The ambiance in the garden was quite nice, and they have canopies and ceiling fans to keep the area cool. The unfortunate thing was that service was a miss. Service was extremely minimal and when I was still trying to finish my drink, the server just came and shoved the bill at me. We were there for less than an hour, so I'm not sure what the rush was about. What they also don't advertise is that they tack on a fee if you pay by credit card, and this wasn't listed on the menu. It only says so on the receipt after you pay that you "save" by paying in cash. For drinks, we tried the Guava Mimosa and Tropical Sunrise mocktail. The mimosa was pretty strong with the alcohol, which could be good if you're into that. The mocktail was quite refreshing with a bit of tanginess that helped with the heaviness of the food. For food, I tried the Corned Beef Hash con Huevos and the Taco Trio with Carnitas. I wish that they allow you to have a mix of fish and carnitas for the trio, but they make you pick only one choice. The carnitas were a good choice though. The hash was good, but definitely a bit on the heavy side. Overall, food was alright but I felt so rushed and pressured to pay the bill with the server quickly, and just felt that overall the service ruined the experience.

We had brunch here with no reservation on a busy weekend! Ambiance: 5/5 Beautifully designed and spacious restaurant that offers outdoor seatings with heaters. Pet friendly too! Service: 4/5 Our waitress was friendly and efficient. Food: 4/5 Guava pancakes are highly recommended. Fluffy and not so dense with delicious guava sauce that wasn't sweet at all. Veggies omelette - Tasty and loved the potatoes that came with it. Tuna salad - HUGE pieces of THICK tuna; well worth the money! Salad was incredibly fresh and tasty. *Free refills on coffee* I'd highly recommend this place and will be back.

Stopped in for breakfast on a drizzly Sunday morning. Sat on the patio and had an awesome breakfast. Service was quick and attentive. Food was hot and fresh. Had a homemade feel to breakfast while away from home. Beautiful spot, good food, good service!

We visited Angelica's on Easter Sunday and we came at a good time because it wasn't too busy. Their food was okay, we had ordered banana pancakes and their chicharron benedict. I felt the food lacked flavor and was just very underwhelming for their prices Their service was good and checked on us once in a while. Their ambiance is really nice, we ate in their outdoor seating area and it was the perfect setting for some Sunday brunch

Always enjoy Angelica's. Ambiance, service and food were great. Peter always recognizes me even if I haven't been in months/years

We had a wonderful meal here recently and everyone left happy. The food, service, and ambiance were all top-notch. * The Food: My wife loved the lettuce leaf shrimp tacos--a great fresh and flavorful option. I had the Ají de Camarones, which was delicious and perfectly prepared. My niece and her husband ordered different plates, and across the board, every dish was a hit. * The Vibe: The ambiance is lovely, making it a great spot for a family gathering or a nice night out. * The Service: Attentive and friendly, which really rounded out the evening. If you're in Redwood City and looking for quality Latin flavored cuisine with a great atmosphere, definitely check out Angelica's!

Angelicas Taco Trio with fish and Tacos de Carne Asada

Came for a weekend lunch and seated immediately at one of their outdoor tables in the front. The fish tacos trio ($18) was pretty standard and the sauces really made the dish. I think my experience would've been much better if I tried a more unique entree and if we were able to get a seat in their back patio (which looks gorgeous), but I don't feel particularly compelled to return. Service was amazing though and very attentive!

3.5-4. Some dishes were great, some were just ok. It was packed for brunch, service was good.

Everything was delicious. The interior is very pretty. Lamb and burger were very good. The sides ( rice, root vegetables, plantains) were very tasty as well. They give out small cake if it's your birthday. Very thoughtful. Service was smooth and fast.

ABLT Sandwich - it was too spicy for me (husband ordered it)

Came here for breakfast yesterday with family, 9 of us in total. Pros- I was able to make reservations online for our party. A lot of restaurants have you call if you're over (or at) a group of 7, so I appreciated this, a lot! One relative had a flight to catch, so knowing we had a table was important! I was able to add an extra thigh to our order of chicken and waffles, since four of us were sharing dishes, so that was nice too! Cons- still not impressed with their fries, I think they could be better... hotter and crispier when they come to the table.

Guava Pancakes with guava cream and candied pecans!

Came to eat breakfast this morning early before 9am and restaurant was open and ready to serve! The ambiance is beautiful and calming outside with ferns and camelia bushes lining the lattice walls. They offered to turn on the outdoor heater as it was chilly. Service was very attentive throughout the whole experience. We ordered the empanadas for appetizers and the guava pancakes which is a new item, along with the breakfast burrito with Chorizo and all the food was delicious. But I have to tell you that the guava pancakes were out of this world good! Fluffy pancakes topped with a guava cream, with candied pecans and edible flowers! Angelica's is the place to go this summer in downtown Redwood City!

Chilaquiles
Anindita C.

Oh dear lord! So good! I would have licked my plate had I not gone with my coworkers. This was breakfast that I got around lunch time and I appreciate a place that is flexible with their menus because I was feeling chilaquiles and did not want what was on the lunch menu. This came with eggs and what you can't see are the chorizo on the tortilla. I was sweating by the time I was done with eating. The restaurant is gorgeous! The indoor plants are well maintained but I do warn that you understand it can feel like you're in a greenhouse in certain parts of the restaurant. Ask the to seat you where it would be cooler on a hot day and warm on a cold day. The restaurant is very large so you have the option of indoor or outdoor.

Awesome!!

We arrived starving after a long hike at nearby Corte de Madera, and were craving some comfort food and beer to appease our appetites, and Ghostwood hit the spot! The Good: * Street, lot, and garage parking available, but more on that later. * Outdoor dog-friendly seating * Game room in the back with pool, pinball, and other forms of entertainment. * 50% off all drinks Fri & Sat night from 9 p.m. until closing. * Happy Hour Mon - Fri 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. * QR code menu ordering and payment through Toast, which is our favorite. * Service was friendly and efficient. * Fresh housemade beers and full complement of spirits and mixed drinks. * Chicken Tacos were a pleasant surprise, as they were delicious and packed with chicken and toppings. * Redwood Rodeo Burger was an outstanding smashburger! So much flavor and the meat-to-toppings-to-bread ratio was perfect. Definitely hit the spot! * Special big ups to the Beef Tallow Fries that were crispy and just fantastic. The Meh: * It is a family-friendly establishment, so prepare for unsupervised kids running amok in the game room while the parents get plastered. -_- * I thought the Fried Pickles were pretty good, but Carissa felt like they needed more batter or something. The Ugly: * Downtown Redwood City can be extremely popular, especially on weekends, so parking can be a real hassle. I'd recommend finding the Jefferson Avenue Garage which gives you the first two hours for free. Conclusion: Come for the beer but stay for the food. Highly recommended.

I was already suffering a sore throat , so during the break I told my friend I needed a drink if I was to sit through another stretch of the same format. A quick Yelp search said that this bar was less than a 1 minute from the theatre. So off we went. Harry the bartender is one of the nicest guys you'll meet, and when I asked him if he could make me a hot toddy he didn't blink! Bar is small and is sort of an extension to the Curry pizza place. But it is absolutely at an amazing location and serves anything your heart desires. Friend had a hibiscus whatever with vodka and she was happy with it. I was more than happy with the hot toddy he made with Hennessy. Prices are middle of the road at $14 for a drink, and this place combines two of my absolute faves: Indian spiced wings and cocktails. I just know if I'm ever back at Fox theatre for an event , this is the place I'm getting my drinks at.

As a speakeasy enthusiast myself I definitely agree to the fact that it is "hidden" but also it does kinda give corporate vibes a little bit - maybe we can say they "gentrified" the speakeasy experience which is honestly so funny for Palo Alto. But anyways I don't think a classification should stop you from visiting it. The food is actually surprisingly really good. We came with a pescatarian and honestly while the offerings for snacks were a bit slim, every option was really good.
