    Good wine

The interior is impressive and the food coupled with good wine is great. For a party of two, the servings were more than enough. The Trio Ganador was refreshing and went well with the Taro chips. The seafood was fresh and prepared well; could easily tell as the shrimp and specially the squid were soft and not chewy. We were impressed with the Crispy Pork Belly Chaufa as the fried rice was served hot and we can taste the flavor of the wok. Additionally, the pork belly was crispy and yet tender. Every ingredient in this dish complemented each other. The Pescado Entero was also very good. It was fried crispy (finished bones and head!) and not over cooked. The flesh was tender and flaky in the inside. The Chocolate Bandido and the Café Americano were a very good finish to the meal.

The beef empanada was really good, though I think the ají sauce could use a little more flavor. I originally came craving their pollo a la brasa, but unfortunately it's not available at this location, so that craving will have to wait. I ended up ordering the whole fried fish instead, and it was good. The ambiance was great, the service was friendly, and overall I had a nice experience. I'd definitely come back to try other dishes.

This location of this chain is my favorite one. Easy parking available nearby. The food is always delicious. The Peruvian cocktail, Pisco Sour, made to perfection. Never disappoints. Lots of options to choose from in each category.

The food was delicious at Limon! The sushi we had was absolutely incredible. I cannot find the name but it is shrimp tempura inside, a tender beef on top, then a little bit of spice. It was delicious. We also had the pork belly bowl with was amazing as well. The only thing that bothered me was our waitress made it seem like they only had water bottles. So we ended up paying for a $8 bottle of water. Other than that it was a good experience!

The hype around this place was insane, so I'll admit my expectations were probably a little too high going in. The food is clearly great quality, the interior is beautiful, and the service was excellent. That said, my dish ended up being a bit too salty for my taste, which took away from the overall experience. Drinks were solid though. Definitely a good spot, just didn't quite live up to the buzz for me. I'd come back for drinks and apps! I wonder if they do Happy Hour.

This place is a party the minute you walk in. So if you're in the mood for music that has you gyrating in your seat or getting in the mood to dance, Limon never disappoints. With that said, it's a great place to celebrate! I've already been to this location a couple times and was delighted we were getting a Limon in the Redwood City area. The seafood is always delicious and fresh. The empanada sampler is a great appetizer- very simple with no more than the chicken, beef, cheese or mixed veggies in each. I have never seen scallops on the shell anywhere around here and last enjoyed them abroad. Those are prepared nicely with some latin flavors to enhance. The pisco sours are what I always go for. They're also known for their chicken which is delicious rotisserie. Apparently, it's no longer being served?? I hope they bring it back. I loved their chicken! If you have a spicy tongue, you have to ask for their hot sauces also. The red one is nice but the green one is the best and has a sharpness to it. Service is always excellent whether at the bar or on the floor. Everyone no matter who is serving you is solicitious and attentive if your server or bartender is not present and something is needed. Limon has always been a favorite of mine whether in SF, peninsula or Mt. View. You bet I'll be sauntering into Limon again sometime soon!

Absolutely delicious! This restaurant is a little on the pricey side but it's a good spot to splurge at. Every single thing I tasted had such great flavor. The arroz mariscos is probably the biggest serving. So if you're really hungry I would recommend that one! It has mussels, shrimp, and fish. We were celebrating a birthday and right before coming to our table to sing they turned up the music in the whole restaurant and really made the birthday feel special. Service was also spot on. Refills came quickly. Plates were cleared as soon as we were finished. We had a party of 6 and gratuity was included in our bill. Will definitely recommend this spot to friends and family. It's a great spot for a date night.

First time to Limon and had an amazing experiences. Got their signature dish, calamari with yuca fries, and cauliflower. Everything is amazing. Flavorful, fresh, well presentation. The servers are very friendly. Food came out efficiently despite being a busy Saturday dinner. Will for sure come back, maybe next time for birthday celebration. They offer special birthday dessert celebration with a small firework. There were multiple tables here for celebration when I was there!

My husband and I have always loved going to Limon in Burlingame and we especially love the Redwood City location. The atmosphere and overall decor inside of the restaurant is gorgeous. We love the service we receive every time- the staff are always so attentive and friendly. The food also is so good- we recently tried some of the sushi rolls specifically at the Redwood City location ontop of other classics like Lomo Saltado, yuca and platanos fritos. Might I also add- their drinks are phenomenal!

Ceviche Camarones with Yuca chips maybe?

For my visit, the hospitality was top notch and the food, very delicious. Came in for lunch with two friends. We ordered: Camarones Crocantes $20: yummmm, saucy, crispy. I could order a plate to eat as a meal. Bruselas $12: Also yum! I didn't expect much, but it was pleasantly tasting veggie dish. Great to order and snack on. Ceviche Limón w/ taro chips $30+: you request the taro chips, but I don't remember seeing it on the menu or where my friend saw it. She just asked for it and they brought it out. Really good choice, the chips were perfect with the ceviche. Lomo Saltado $34: friend said it was salty, which I'm not surprised with the name haha, but it came with seasoned rice that I thought could cut through the saltiness well. Half Chicken $24: the chicken was bomb. Good seasoning and still very moist and tender. The skinny fries were okay, but forgettable, and it came with a nice salad to cut through the savory dish. My favorite part was the aji amarillo sauce. No idea what's in it, but I loved it. I would have preferred thicker fries for this dish. It's a solid lunch choice if you're deciding where to eat with coworkers, and it's a great choice for bringing a client. The staff were incredibly professional and attentive. We went a little after noon for lunch and it wasn't too crowded (just three tables including us). If you need to have a more private or intimate conversation, there's plenty of seating for that. It's a good place to eat at again to try other dishes. I want to order my friend's ceviche dish next time, the arroz con mariscos dish, and the nikkei rolls. I saw they also have a Mountain View location, so I'll be giving that place a try soon.

Came here on a Tuesday evening for dinner with 2 friends and had a reservation. The interior is very well-decorated and pretty. The music can be a bit loud, and it you have a birthday, they crank up the music as the staff comes out with a dessert and a sparkler (this place seems popular for birthdays, we saw 3 celebrations here). Our food came out relatively fast and were in good portions. I got the Mixto Rocoto Ceviche with Taro Chips and the Chicha Morada. The drink was a good sweetness that complemented the dish well. Plenty of tender seafood, and the Taro Chips are a must to contrast with some saltiness and starch. Good place for Peruvian food, would come back again!

We came to Limon in Redwood City for dinner tonight with a group of 13, and I just had to leave a review because our experience was incredible. Claudia was our waitress, and she truly went above and beyond. Managing a large group is never easy, but she handled everything so smoothly, with so much kindness, patience, and attention to detail. She made sure everyone felt taken care of, kept everything organized, and did it all with such a warm and positive attitude. It honestly made our whole night even more enjoyable. Thank you, Claudia, for making our dinner so special--we'll definitely be back!

The server got us sat right away and was friendly. We decide to share a bunch of plates including the pan seared baos, different stuffed rice balls, stuffed scallion pancakes, fried wontons, cucumber salad, purple yam chips, chicken & corn dumplings and Mongolian beef potstickers The pan seared baos and the stuffed scallion pancakes were our absolute favorites. The baos were crispy, rich and juicy. The stuffed scallion pancakes were like tacos with the flakiest and most satisfyingly chewy taco shell. The meat inside was well seasoned and tender. These two dishes in particular are going to be must orders anytime I return. The cheesy kimchi rice balls and purple yam chips were both hits at the table as well. The chips they have made and come out in no time so you can start snacking right away. The rice balls were nice and crispy on the outside than soft and gooey on the inside. They had that bright kimchi flavor. The cucumber salad was good too, the main flavor of them was cilantro so if you don't like cilantro then you should skip it. The fried wontons were standard but satisfying. They did their job. Finally the chicken and corn dumplings and the Mongolian beef dumplings were the weakest of what we ordered. They got mixed reviews from the table. Consensus was that both were pretty bland overall and didn't compare to the other dishes we enjoyed so much. As far as the food there was a lot to love and a couple dishes we'd switch out for something else next time. But we also don't go in expecting to love every dish and are happy to have gotten so many dishes that we do love. Especially those stuffed scallion pancakes, they are the biggest reason this review had to be a 5/5. Also because of the good service and peaceful environment

Decor is trying to be a nicer place than idumpling or redwood bistro. The food was good (dumplings, scallion pancakes with beef, spicy wontons, lobster skewer) but felt small for the (high) price and unnecessarily grilled? They weren't kidding when they call themselves a grill Cons: Service will take a while. They seem to be a hit on DoorDash or food delivery since there were more orders getting picked up than in-store customers. Interior seems kinda unmaintained? Not really a place to go if you're trying to impress, but also not a total barebones takeout place. The decor is nice but the chairs were mostly old and ripped.

My son was home visiting and one of his food requests was tapas, specifically Iberico ham. I think I had been here long ago when it was still in Menlo Park. Anyway let's get right to the food. My son and I had done a deep dive (not so his dad) and preplanned what we were most interested in. Drinks: El Martini , Old Fashioned, and Side Car, all between $17.25-18.75: 4*- all good, pretty much standard issue, STIFF PAELLA de MARISCOS (we 3 shared the small) $61.90 - saffron rice with prawns, lobster, cuttlefish, bay scallops, squid, baby octopus, sea scallops and clams: 3.5*. We thought it was delcious, especially the tender clams and cuttlefish. It was a little oily, but the disappointing part was almost no socarrat! boo! Txipirones en suTinta - squid stuffed with tomatoes & sausage, braised in wine and its ink. $22.90 - 4.5*: I didn't expect the whole thing to be entirely black. I liked it but a little too soupy. 100% Jamón Iberico de Bellota Black Label - country bread rubbed with tomato, topped with the iconic ham of the black hoofed Iberian pig. $32.80 - 5+*: OMG. every part so tasty, and the ham almost melts in your mouth alcauciles con champiñones - baby artichokes sautéed with chanterelle mushrooms, amontillado sherry and cured ham (opt.) $21.65- 4.5*: This was not at all attractive to look at. I needed some other color on the plate besides light brownish green. The taste was delicious, the best aspects of earthy mushrooms and sweet young artichokes. Pulpo a la Brasa - grilled octopus; bean and piquillo pepper salad with capers, basil and shallots. $29.85 - 5 *: I loved the octopus, although it could have benefitted from a little more char. The beans, however almost upstaged the pulpo. Absolutely wonderful. Vieiras con Espuma de Salmón - griddled Hokaido scallops on smoked salmon mousse toast. $25.70 - 3.5*: The scallops were perfectly cooked, but definitely over salted. The salmon "mousse" wasn't a mousse at all it was about the consistency of a thin sour cream, like crema, and only a small amount. I didn't note any smoked flavor. The service was fast, friendly and knowledgeable, except for the busser, who was pretty much silent and no smiles even when we tried to engage her, but maybe she didn't speak English. The dining room isn't very big and there was a large table of like 12 coworkers, one of whom spoke and laughed incredibly loudly, but that's not the restaurant's fault. Food: 34/40 Service: 17/20 Value: 16/20 Atm/Intangibles: 16/20 Overall: 83/100 As I knew it would be, it was expensive, and like others, I'm not sure I think the 22% compulsory service fee is fair. We ended up at about $380 including drinks, tax, and the service charge. The host/owner is charming.
