Massimo is the best. Great drinks. And Maedeh is the best barista in the world! We came here after touring the Colosseum for a refreshing drink

Thank you Massimo, you and team are excellent, service is amazing. Thank you for a beautiful breakfast and prosecco. I absolutely love the vibe here.

Very solid food and service. They had a veal special so I got that. It was tender and had a nice flavor with the light frying and tasty sauce. My wife got a fairly simple pasta dish and a huge side of grilled veggies. Food was all very good and the service was pretty good. The large outdoor space is very nice.

Such a lovely place and you can eat in and take out. Stunning view of the colleseum. Food was sooo good. Cocktails are great. Our server Massimo was so friendly and helpful.

The Bellini and the mozzarella and ham sandwich were nice. It is easily located by the Colosseum. The servers were friendly enough. They let us chill and didn't bother us too much. The location was perfect. It was nice to dine al fresco and let the beauty of Rome just be beautiful accent to your meal. We will return again.

Eat your carbs Angelino Ai Fori was something we stumbled upon just walking by the Roman forum and decided to stop in for a meal. The service was wonderful and the pasta was SOOOOO DELICIOUS we swear you've never had pasta until you go to Italy it's truly amazing! The ambience definitely screams romance

The food is good but the service is not up to par. Most of the waiters just walk around and only the busboys do all the work. My son asked for a glass of water and one waiter said no and signaled to wait for another waiter. I only saw one waiter being attentive to his table. You also must wait at least 20-25 minutes for the food, so if you're hungry don't eat here.

After walking for hours in the blazing heat, this restaurant is conveniently located in the center of Rome, just few blocks away from the coliseum and train station (along with other monuments nearby). Perfect to stop by for a cold beer and enjoy in their patio area, plus free wifi available. Although not pictured, I ordered their veggie lasagna and my goodness, it was absolute perfection. They could work on the customer service and overall time to get meal out. It wasn't as packed and we still had to wait a long time for everything, including just water.

Catered for the masses, higher-priced less than authentic Italian-made food. I did enjoy the seating outside, covered, and fast service. The only thing I did enjoy was the starter tomato, crispbread, and cheese. The pasta and pizza we ordered were very bland and slimy. Not worth the price. I would suggest sticking with dessert or drinks, get your meals deeper in the city.

Sam destroying her pasta before I have a chance to ask to try hers.

Outside tabled with view of the colloseum and local musicians in the earshot was a great setting. Great carbonara and service.

The bread basket was delicious served warm with amazing crust. The pasta was a tad undercooked but was the best tasting sauce ever. The melon sauce entirely new and never seen of heard of before. They took "summer melon" which I was told was cantaloupe. It was cut into 1/8 inch teeny tiny cubes and simmered for a long time until very soft and the sweetness a little washed out. It was sooo good. The braised beef was cooked to perfection, the sauce was delectable and the sides were great. The mozzarella and tomato was amazing too. Perfectly seasoned and the tomatoes were conscientiously sliced. 1000% suggest this restaurant

Our hotel manager had suggested another restaurant, but I was apprehensive to try, but did later, more on that restaurant review in it's own post. I rather did what I should have done throughout the trip to, which is to search google for local reviews. This tactic I found to be much better than to trust American reviews for restaurants to visit from Youtube or even here, just because the American touristy taste tends to favor bland or Olive Garden style pseudo Italian. The real Italian taste is much different and something one needs to develop. I was familiar with European Italian food, as I had said before in other reviews that Mexico has better Italian food outside of Italy. Additionally, the good restaurants here in Italy do not open before 7 PM. If it does or if someone that looks foreign to Italy is outside trying to lure you in, it's a tourist restaurant with iffy flavor. At this restaurant my husband had the Lobster pasta and I had the spinach/ricotta ravioli, and we both were beyond satisfied. We also had the artichoke as an appetizer, and trusted the waiter with his suggestion for a bottle of wine. He must have been some genius because the wine went well with our meal. The ambience was cozy and very family oriented, however, the rain outside made it romantic for us. Another key point for this restaurant and it traditional flare was that they brought out the olive oil and red vinegar for our salad and of course olive oil for our wonderful home-made bread. I'm so glad we chose this place for those of us Americans who understand culinary cuisine.

By the time we were seated, dozens of people were waiting behind us. We sipped an Aperol spritz and lemonade while we waited, chatting with fellow diners who raved about the restaurant. On a sweltering day, our kids were starting to struggle in the heat when the owner came outside and gave them mini pizzas breads. It was a thoughtful gesture that immediately made us feel welcome. Once seated, we ordered burrata, cacio e pepe, amatriciana pasta, pork chops, and fried artichokes. Everything was excellent, but the amatriciana was the standout--rich, savory, and unforgettable. The cacio e pepe was silky, the burrata fresh and creamy, the pork chops juicy, and the fried artichokes perfectly crisp. There's a reason people line up for Da Enzo. Unfortunately, it ended up being one of the most disappointing meals of our trip to Rome. I want to start by saying the staff was wonderful--everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive. We have absolutely no complaints about the service. The food, however, was very underwhelming. The Margherita pizza was undercooked, with dough that was still soft and not fully baked. The chicken dish tasted more like a simple stew and lacked flavor, and the lasagna was just average. Another red flag was that all of our food arrived within about five minutes of ordering, which made it seem like everything had been pre-made rather than freshly prepared. We rarely leave negative reviews, especially when the staff is so friendly, but we chose this restaurant specifically because of its exceptional reviews. I think it's only fair to share our honest experience so other travelers have realistic expectations. While the service was excellent, the food simply didn't live up to the reputation.

Being new to Rome, and having walked 20k steps on our first day, there are an abundance of options a for dining. We wanted something classically Rome nearby to our hotel. The Yelp review of this restaurant was sufficiently positive to entice us. Being American, we appreciate the earlier-than-customary dining options. We arrived at 6pm without a reservation. We were seated immediately. The restaurant is intimate and very well staffed. The wood fire oven is front-and-center and the fresh mozzarella is prominent in display. We ordered a bottle of wine ... all options are very fairly priced. This is nice. We started with a Greek salad to share. It was unlike any American Greek salad ... and a really delight. It is early June but the tomatoes and peppers were ripe and crisp and really fresh. My wife ordered the Marguerite pizza; I opted for the Gorgonzola pizza (the effusive review on Yelp was compelling). Both were solid. We appreciate the thin crust and the crisp edged. The center of both, however, was doughy and somewhat undercooked. Looking around ... the restaurant was over 50% full even at this early hour. Most were Americans. We saw a good number of diners with pasta dishes ... and none were left unfinished. Sadly, we don't have any comparisons to weigh (yet). So, I cannot affirm any "best of" citations, it this is certainly a solid trattoria/pizzeria. The staff are attentive and the food served hot and fresh.
