If I can give 0 stars I would. Let me tell you the reason for a fat 0... I'm an openly gay man visiting Sonoma on a gorgeous Saturday afternoon doing some shopping. I stopped by this dump, Angelique Boutique looking at some women's clothing standing outside on a rack. I was trying on a jacket and knew it was a women's jacket. A lady who works there comes out of the store and asks if I needed something. I said I'm trying on this jacket and it doesn't fit me. She says, of course it doesn't because it's women's. I said since when does it matter if you have money to spend and you like something why can't I look at it and buy it. She snatched the jacket out of my hand and I said I'm in a free country and I'm free to look and buy anything I want. It doesn't matter who you are or what your sexual orientation is, you should be able to look at any damn piece of clothing you want. My husband came over and found out what happened to me. I explained the discrimination I experienced and how rude, racist and judgmental she was. He took a picture of this dump called Angelique. We left furious and beyond hurt. As we were walking around looking at other shops, the lady came out of nowhere and was following us. She approached me wanting to apologize. Her excuse was she didn't know I was gay. She said she was a ballerina. She said she never discriminates anyone , however she already judged me for looking at women's clothing. I feel as if the apology was insincere. She already judged a book by its cover and it was too late to accept her apology. I can't believe in this day and age someone is judged by someone for who they are. The Bay Area is well known for its diversity and different cultures. Actions speak louder than words. She didn't hurt my feelings, she hurt me for being who I am. If you're an openly gay man shopping in downtown Sonoma, stay away from Angelique's Boutique. They will judge you before talking to you. read more

One of the longest term women's clothing boutiques on the Sonoma square. This small shop is jammed packed with inventory. There's quite a variety from California casual to continental chic. My wife has bought several dresses here. She's always happy with the quality and the look. Service folks are always helpful. I've known the owner since 1998. She's an energetic bubbly and happy person. The shop reflects her joie de vivre. There are dozens of clothing boutiques in Sonoma. Be sure to visit this one. read more

My hubby and I were strolling by last night. I saw a lovely and cool looking dress in the window. Alas, the store was closed. However, the owner, Claire, was so sweet that she welcomed us in and encouraged me to try on the dress. She was very knowledgeable about the brand, sizing, and fabric care. Amazingly, this beautiful Samuel Dong dress was available in many colors, including a pretty emerald color. Given that Valentine's Day is around the corner, I walked out with the red dress. Great experience ! I came in and was greeted by two of the nicest women of any store I have ever been into. This is no Big Box store and the employees really cared for my needs and wants and listen to me and spoke to me like I was a real person. You know that feels good. :) For all the ladies and gentleman that have a desire for quality & fashionable ladies clothes, this is a wonderful spot directly in the heart of downtown Sonoma. Located in the town square, down a charming ally. I was looking for a present for my mom and they greeted me with a nice, warm smile and walked me through the racks and really made me feel comfortable and at home shopping in a ladies store for my mother. (Great for Mother's Day presents with class, elegance and style). I've gone to other stores where I'm completely lost and can't find a thing that seems right, but let me tell you that this is a boutique with great customer service & wonderful items to choose from. The woman I was working with, Dina, assured me that I chose some great things and she was awesome! My mom was so happy opening her presents, she nearly fell out of her chair and shed a tear. In September I called this place looking for a specific pair of shoes. The owner, Claire, had answered the phone and she was absolutely great! After explaining to her what I was looking for to wear with a particular outfit, she kindly offered to me her personal cell number so that I can send her a picture of the outfit for her and her colleague to review and see if the shoe would work with it. I've never experienced that before and completely appreciated the gesture. I went in later in the day to try out the shoes and the two ladies were a blast to converse with! When I first went into this boutique, I thought that the potential of being a nice place with a friendly staff, Jennifer, would be a delightful shopping experience. I have never been so wrong in my life. I spent close to $ 400.00 at this store, and one of the items was a pair of earrings. They were wrapped in tissue and put in my bag. After I left the store, I stopped in one other and across the way to a fabulous store with unbelievable personnel. My husband came into that store and I asked him if he wanted to see the earrings that I had purchased. As I took them out of the bag, but never unwrapped them, he told me to put them away so they wouldn't get lost. Upon arrival to our home in Cupertino, the earrings were gone. They must have fallen out in the store which my husband came into. I called Angelique and spoke with Leslie the buyer. She was so nice, at first, and told me they should never have been wrapped in tissue but to have been put into a satin type bag that they have. She also said that she has her customer's put them in their purses. She said she would see if anyone found them and get back to me about ordering another pair. Jennifer called today, the next day and proceeded to rip me a new asshole. She basically called me a liar, and then Leslie got in on it with her and these two fake, nasty, non-personable women should not work with the public. When I was in the store, Jennifer was too busy at first to help me as she was doing her bills. I heard other people outside the store talk about how nasty Jennifer and what a rip off the store was. It is extremely overpriced. The way I was talked to was horrible. Jennifer was trying to cover her big ass and use me as a scapegoat. Whoever shops here is really out of their mind. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau regarding these people and this store. I have never in my life been treated like I was today, and I don't need to go through this over a pair of $ 42.00 earrings. Lieing is one thing that I cannot stand. The 'eye candy' clothing drew me into this darling boutique when my husband & I were meandering through Sonoma on a west coast visit... The eclectic, vibey and sexy/cool fashions here are amazing and to top it off, the 2 owners, Leslie & Jen were fashionistas extraordinaires! They were warm, cute and so accommodating, steering me to some adorable pieces.
