The location in State College is well used, modern and can open to the outside along College Avenue. The pizza is thin crust and they offer a variety of options for every type of pizza. Here's what I've learned -- "less is more". If you order a pizza with 2 or 3 toppings it will be great. They make a custom pizza - about a dozen varieties, more of a personal size (mine was a Garden Medley or something like that), and after the baseline ingredients and the oven, they get even more toppings. This style of pizza has a very thin crust and while using very fresh ingredients which was obvious on first bite it was not as filling or satisfying as a more traditional pie. My pizza had an herb/garlic base with ricotta, shredded and fresh mozzarella and fresh basil. I also added mushrooms and roasted garlic oil. My boyfriend had a traditional pie with pepperoni, onions and mushroom. We loved every bite! I'd love to try other varieties -- some included nashville hot and pulled pork -- or the cinnastix. Snap opened last year in State College, and it has been one of my favorites ever since. From the outside, Snap has a very rustic look. It is aesthetically pleasing, and the giant front windows open on hot days to let a nice breeze through the restaurant. There are also plenty of wood tables (inside and out) that make for a perfect picture. As for the pizza, Snap is a made-to-order pizza shop. You start on the far end by selecting your crust (regular or cauliflower), then your sauce (regular, BBQ, garlic, etc), and then finally your cheese and toppings. The interesting thing about Snap is that they have dozens of toppings, and most of them are unique. A few of my favorites include brussel sprouts, asparagus, and roasted corn. There's no limit on how many toppings you can add to your pizza, so I've seen some monstrous pizzas go through the oven. From there the workers will ask you if you'd like any "finishing touches" which are a separate array of toppings that are added after the pizza is cooked. Some of these include balsamic glaze, arugula, ricotta, and spinach. The whole pizza is about 10" in diameter and costs about $8.99 for unlimited toppings. Aside from customizable pizza, Snap also has several pre-selected pizza combinations, including a mac & cheese pizza, a BBQ pizza, and a margarita pizza. They also have really great salads and grain bowls if you're looking to switch things up. I've never tried either of these, but I've seen some and they look delicious. Drink wise, Snap has health conscious juices and sodas. Their sodas are made with 100% all-natural cane sugar, and they have several fruit juices to select. Overall, Snap is the place to go if you're looking for a quick, high quality pizza shop. My friends and I come here religiously, and for good reason. read more

Noticed they had vegan options from looking on yelp. Sooo obviously had to try! Was driving through heading back to Pittsburgh and decided to stop. Was worried about fitting the stroller through the tables because they were quite busy, but it worked out just fine. I've been here twice and really like the pizza. I've had the margherita, farmers market and sweet n slow. I love the margherita and sweet n slow. The farmers market was OK, but the arugula and lemon oil just aren't flavors I prefer. This place is always busy so maybe try going at off-peak times. I arrived in State College craving pizza on Thanksgiving weekend, and after walking to three traditional pizza shops that were closed, I came across Snap. This was my first time at a build-your-own pizza shop, and I I wasn't feeling very creative, so I was pleased to see that their menu included some of their classics (no need to make ingredient decisions). I ordered the Margherita pizza, and I'd rate the flavor as average compared to others I've had. If I lived nearby, I would try this place again on a day when I wanted to get creative. They had lots of fresh ingredients to choose from. But I'd probably go elsewhere for a pizza with traditional toppings (e.g. pepperoni pizza). Let me start off by saying I had high hopes for this place. I love pizza and customizing it was appealing to me. I'm just going to break my review up in 3 parts: Service- We were the first in line to give our order but stood there for a good 6-7 minutes just waiting for someone to acknowledge our existence. A "hey we'll be with you soon" would have sufficed. After taking our order, there was a large line of people just waiting to pay for their order. It was really unorganized and simply confusing. Food- After waiting a while for our pizzas, they slowly started coming out. I got mine a good 10 minutes before my friends so I waited there awkwardly as my food grew cold. To review the food itself... it was okay. I could have achieved the same results pretty easily by just buying a pre-made crust and making it myself without the hassle of a line and poor service. Price- So you're going to spend anywhere from $8-$12 for a small personal pizza and you're going to wait for it and possibly be very confused by what line you should be in and how to pay. With all of that said, it was an okay experience but I don't think I'll be returning any time soon.
