Having not been to Italy, though still having traveled throughout quite a good portion of the world, my favorite slices still hale from various neighborhood pizzerias in NYC and neighboring boroughs. Still, Angelo's holds its own in ranking right up there with a true NYC slice. Plentiful toppings, good crust, good size for the price; a solid, good, really can't be topped in that area of NJ slice. They also have some really good customer service. Portions are plentiful. They have various soup options, which come with entrees, including hamburgers, and they throw in a salad (though they could dry off that lettuce better before popping it in the container). But I can't give them more than a 3-star rating because 1) they're as - and in some cases more - expensive than many of the pizzerias I know of in NYC, and 2) my family and I have had multiple issues throughout the years with errors on our order. Most recently (this past weekend), we called in an order. Mine was fried ravioli and a bacon cheeseburger sub; pretty standard pizzeria fare. One the phone they asked if we wanted cheese ravioli. It wasn't made clear that they were out of fried ravioli. It came across more like there was a meat or a cheese option for the fried goodness. When we got the order home? Regular frozen ravioli with sauce. Decent taste. But not what my taste buds wanted, or the Lost In Translation ordering process made me think I was getting. Then I realize there isn't a sub wrapped in foil..........I open a styrofoam container (yeah...not environmentally thoughtful...but you're going to a pizzeria in Jersey, folks. Come on ;-)...and it's a regular burger. Again, decent. Overly salty. But still good. But I ordered the bacon cheeseburger sub to try the bread they use for....subs. I can understand the miscommunication with the ravioli. But the sub? Nah. Don't get that one. We've had other issues before where allergies where communicated over the phone, but the execution didn't come through. They have gluten-free ravioli!!! HUGE BONUS!! PROPS!!!! The family called in an order with one gluten free ravioli, one regular ravioli, ordering crab to be added to the regular one, and stating that the gluten free one couldn't have crab on it since the person eating it had an allergy. The order comes......and the gluten-free ravioli had the crab, while the regular one was bare. And there are others throughout the years, which I won't go in to. Again, all stuff which you can deal with for the quality of the food in that area...or that can ask to be fixed if you can't deal with it. They're really good with fixing any errors made. Very nice and kind about it. Still, it's a consistent issue. But, hey. if that's the only qualm about a place with decent chow, and you have the ducats to pay their prices, I guess it ain't all that bad. read more

Always a go to for pizza, subs, and salads. They deliver which makes it even more convenient. Whenever we order we tend to have a mix of different foods. One wants pizza, one wants sandwiches, one wants shrimp scampi, etc. Angelos always makes everything well. When they deliver they separate all the hot from the cold which is very nice. We actually stopped using another place because they would not do that. The salad ended up being wilted by the time the food got to the house. When getting the food delivered, they are always 5 minutes on either side of the time that they said it would take. Good food, good service, and promptness, how can you go wrong? read more

My family has been ordering from Angelo's for literally years, both at this location as well as the Larchmont location. I haven't ordered everything on the menu, because I'm not a restaurant/food critic, and let's be honest everyone, no Yelper is, no matter how many reviews we've done. I always order my staple menu choices, mozzarella sticks, hoagies, cheese steaks, spaghetti and meatballs, chicken/veal parm, pizza, and Angelo's nails all of these, especially the chicken parm!! If you want gourmet contemporary posh Italian, try somewhere else, like center city, and spend a fortune. If you want your favorite Italian recipes just like your fav Italian grandparents made them, you've found your place! Thanks, Angelo's, my family and I appreciate you!!! Not the cheapest pizza in town but if you're looking for a deal - go to a chain. Angelos has the best homemade pizza in the area, and some of the best staff that has been there for years. Ugh where to start.. aside from the girl at the counter being a total B, the pizza is a sad excuse for a frozen digiorno pizza. The dough is about 5 inches thick and that's a normal pie. It's like they took the word pie literal. Did I mention the mere thought of interacting with the nasty counter girl will keep me away for good? Well, that alone will. Get someone who doesnt give you the stank face like she's smelling a fart and attitude when you show up and the food isn't ready yet. Food is good but always seems to be a rip off of some sort! Ordered from there previously and was over charged $2 so to rectify it, they put $2 on my account for the "next time." When I went to redeem that $2 today they then told me it counts as a coupon and I couldn't use my entertainment coupon with it. I used to love this place; but, not so much anymore. Not sure when I my feelings changed, but it's been several years. Their pizza is good--but, it's not great. Prices are very high for a pizza and the size has been reduced. The take out pizza by the slice is 18"; the eat in large is only 16". If you are sitting in the dining room, tipping a server and paying over $16.95 for a pizza it should be 18" and taste exceptional. Crust is thicker than it used to be...and I preferred the thinner crust. Side salad is good but it's expensive as well. For just 2 people, (1) 16" plain cheese pizza, 1 side salad and (1) coffee was $27.00 (this included a tip). This used to be the regular spot to eat when visiting my dad, but, not anymore. read more

I've ordered multiple times from this place during lunch hour without issue, however, on a busy Friday night it's a different story. The quality of the food plummets and they screw up your order. Whoever answered the phone when we called back to complain that our order was was wrong was rude and disrespectful and it took over an hour for the missing items to be delivered, when all we wanted was a refund for the things we did not receive (was told that refunds could not be given). By then, it was just too late. I will never be ordering from here again and will not recommend this place due to this awful experience. read more

Just had the worst experience ever. Waited over an hour and a half for 2 chicken sandwiches and an order of fries. If I hadn't ordered online and paid for the order online, I would have walked out. There was no organization and people behind the counter were not friendly or helpful. They seem to not know what was going on. Then when I finally got my food, it was cold. Ice cold! We are trying to help keep the economy moving by ordering out and this type of experience will make me never go to this place again. And I live less than a quarter of a mile from there. We ordered a large pie for pickup. When we brought it home it was the size of a small pizza. Waited close to an hour to have it ready for pickup. Called to complain and was told they would bring a large pie, not the small one we were given and was told they would take the small one back. We weren't going to wait another hour to get another pizza. We told them to forget it and the manager said he would give us 20% off our next order. My last order this week was awful I got there veal saltibocca the meat was thick as anything & oil all over it , never gave me garlic bread which comes with it & the soup was melted zero noodle all carrots ,the pizza tastes like dough I will be going elsewhere waste of 50! YUM! We ordered the Sicilian pizza here once a week. Such a great taste to this pizza, both authentic and consistant. Prices were good too! About $18 for the Sicilian, which was PLENTY of pizza for a family of 4. read more

My family and I stopped in for a quick pizza and wings. The wings came out as we ordered however they made the wrong pizza. Their solution was to take the wrong pie add toppings to it and put it back in the oven. So what we got was half a burnt plain pie and the other half with raw onions and peppers. Needless to say it was terrible. Our waiter then thought maybe if he cooked out some more it would cook the toppings! It didn't! Not a good experience. read more

I have been a loyal customer of Angelo's for over 20 years. There are two stores in Mt. Laurel, NJ and both of them are fabulous. The owners go out of their way to make you feel welcome, the staff is exceptional and the food is DELICIOUS! They are constantly coming up with new sandwiches or entrees. Both stores are immaculate, you can tell that cleanliness and customer service is very important to the owners. I would highly recommend both locations, Larchmont Blvd and Union Mill Road. Just left Angelo's in a hurry. After waiting 30 minutes in the store, (and waiting the requested 25 min to show up, I finally had enough and asked for my money back. The food was almost finished, but right before it came out, the boy in the front asked me not to talk to the other you woman like that. Problem is, the only thing I said was that in a few minutes I'd just like to have my money back and then a few minutes later ..that I wanted my money back. Nothing more. So then I explained to him that I had waited 30 minutes 'in the store' and the 25 minutes they told me to wait until I showed up. At this minute the food showed up and Jr's response was to take the food and get out. I told him I would and then he even thought he had to tell me not to come back. This is ridiculous. They were wrong and just told me to take my food and get out. Very unprofessional. Perhaps leave the children at home with their emotions and let the parents straighten the facts out. read more

I absolutely love their pizza, it is my all time favorite!! However, their service is extremely short-staffed and insufficient. The man that took my order through phone was extremely rude, and our delivery took over an hour despite being 5 mins away. They have very good pizza (especially "the works" and the buffalo chicken). I also enjoy their "special chicken sandwich". The only critique I have is that their cheese steaks are not very good (and don't have much meat). Orders are ready for pick up fairly quickly, and service is pretty good if you sit down to eat. Just ordered a sausage and pepper pizza from Angelos. It arrived after an hour and 10 minutes. It was very cold, very soggy and the cheese, peppers and sausage had all slid to one side. I called the management just to let them know, not asking for anything, (honestly!) but to tell them that their product arrived in less than a pristine state. (I believed the delivery guy was at least partially to blame... and I tipped him!) Nasty and defensive, Rich (the manager), told me that in 25 years he has never had even one complaint. Never, ever? C'mon Rich, in over 25 years???? I guess I just have dumb luck, anyway He advised me next time to order from Dominos. Thanks for the tip, Rich. Terrible customer service. Ordered a pizza and was told it would be delivered in 45 minutes. It was delivered in an hour and 15 minutes. Pizza was cold and I was charged for extra toppings. When I called Angelo's and spoke with the manager, Rich, I was told it was impossible for the pizza to be delivered cold. He was very demeaning and argumentative. I get Angelo's Pizza all the time. I do so mostly because they're convenient to where I live. Their pizza does have a consistently decent crust, but I would also say that sometimes the flavor is very bland. So, it's not particularly good; and it's not particularly bad. It's... A-OK Pizza! I certainly wouldn't go out of my way for it; and I'm confident saying that it doesn't compare well at all to the great pizza places like Pietro's or Tacconelli's. read more

The pizza is good, not great nothing to drive out of you ur way for the Cheese steaks are ok not as good as any other place near by better. The prices are ridiculous. For example the price for an order of mozzarella sticks 6 pcs. $7.40. That's before tax's so your over $8.00 for mozzarella sticks??? The price of a steak sandwich is $7.40 add cheese for $0.50 so $7.90. Is it just me? So the cost of a steak sandwich is the same as frozen mozzarella sticks. Spend your money at any of the many places near by. I'm not trying to make a big deal about this but is that a little ridiculous or is it just me? There not home made and nothing to speak of. Frozen mozzarella sticks put in a fryer. Much better food is very near by I would recommend looking elsewhere. If your looking for customer service then this is not the place for you. I don't write reviews often so if your reading this I've had at least 4 experiences of over charging and ordering something and not getting what I ordered. I'm not one to send my food back, but when you pay as much as you do at this location. It would make anyone mad. The delivery guys are great it's jot there fault that this company charges so much for so little. A lot of places like this upcharge cheap items to make a better bottom line. I would never even ask how much is this appetizer. Just because no one would expect the price to be the same as a sandwich. The manager needs to realize this is not Pats or Geno's. If the food was even close to as good as the plethora of other great reasonably priced Italian places near by ok charge more. But it falls far short of even comparable. This place used to be very good. They use a lower quality of meat for there's steaks. I've called this place to ask if my order should have came in the condition it was on and under cooked for some items and others the cheese and chicken under cooked. I was told it happens sometimes. Because I ordered so close to closing . I guess if you call an hour before closing to order 4 cheese steaks and 2 large pies and 2 2 liters.
