I absolutely love the chicken parm here. It's everything you want it to be crispy, saucy, and cheesy. Even down to the last bite is just as delicious as the first bite. Don't sleep on this place. The service was amazing as usual on a Thursday for lunch. The warm toasty bread and butter is heart warming and hits the spot. Angelo's has devolved into an abomination. On our most recent visit, the restaurant was full of empty tables while the vestibule was packed with hungry patrons. Meanwhile, the Maitre d was aimlessly slow-walking between the back and front of the house, failing to seat anyone, and periodically staring blankly at a notebook located in the rear. When she finally decided to start a list of waiting patrons (who knows why when everyone could have been seated), we repeatedly reminded her about patrons' order of arrival. After 20 minutes of non-productive waiting, the continued lack of queue progress, and the Maitre d's decision to invite new arrivals jump the queue, we decamped. We WILL NOT be back. The staff was very friendly and compliant with all the COVID-19 restrictions and rules. The inside atmosphere is rustic and has a lot of pretty Italian landscape murals on the walls. All entrees come with either soup or salad. The salad comes with mixed greens and an array of salad dressing options. I got the Scallops Savoia which was very similar to Marsala. The mushrooms were tasty. The Scallops were a little gritty but also a pizzeria in the burbs so can't be overly picky, but they were large and not rubbery. Overall the dish was good! read more

Not such a positive experience and I am honestly shocked how this place has such an overall high rating on Yelp. This place is SERIOUSLY outdated in decor and the food is mediocre. I ordered the pesto crusted salmon with spinach. The entree came with a sad looking salad that consisted of lettuce, tomato and onion. The salmon had absolutely no flavor. I had to add a decent amount of salt to taste anything. Even then it was a fair dish. My spinach had no flavor at all. I actually used some garlic from another person's dish to season it. My dad ordered a garlic spaghetti and shrimp dish that was the only thing outstanding. My husband ordered a cheesesteak. It was nothing special. Pretty decent. My mother ordered the salad with shrimp. The shrimp were over cooked and just fair. The service was extremely slow for a restaurant that wasn't even 1/4 full. read more

Angelo's is a lovely local Italian establishment on 2nd Street Pike in the heart of the Southampton commercial district. The reviews show they have the devotion of a lot of people living in the area. After 30 years that is to be expected and it is well deserved. The facility is fairly large, with ample privacy for the tables. The staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive. The menu is traditional Italian-American fare, with many pizza options, Parms, Alfredo's, Marsala's, etc. Prices are very reasonable. My son and I went there last night for the first time. He had the Chicken Parm, with Minestone Soup; I the Pizza Rustica (small). The accompanying Italian bread was very tasty, with enough thin crusty crispiness to be enjoyable in taste and bite. I really enjoyed it with a smear of sweet butter. It was served warm. Son's Parm, was excellent. The breast was pounded and breaded with a pleasant bread crumb mix, and covered in a heavy fresh tomato sauce. He was rolling his eyes in delight. If anything was off, perhaps, the spaghetti side was a bit mushy (he gave me a taste of everything so I could review it). The Minestone was rich with veggies, pasta and a little beef. Very good. The Pizza Rustica was hand-pulled, with fresh Basil, Garlic, chunky Tomatoes, and a heavy Mozzarella finish. It was good. Now, pizza is a very personal and subjective taste. We are all experts. Some may love this style, but for me it left something to be desired. I prefer my pizza to have a thin, but firm crust that does not bend or fold under the weight of the toppings. This one suffered from cheese overload, and required a knife and fork. It was tasty, but the cheese overwhelmed the other flavors and softened the firmness I prefer. I added crushed hot pepper and garlic powder, which was helpful. We will certainly come again and see what else is cooking. I will tell the waitress more about my pizza preferences, and perhaps, we can reach an accommodation. A good chef appreciates a customer's positive input. Given all the other positives, Angelo's may yet become as special to me as it has been to so many long time patrons. read more

The food and service is excellent! Today my wife and I visited Angelo's for the first time since moving to the area. The service was friendly and quick, and the food tasty and fresh. Decor is quaint and clean, kind of cozy. Great for first dates, family dining, or casual get-togethers. Our salads were crisp and fresh and the dressing tasty. Then the entrees: I had the Chicken Parmigiana. The chicken was done perfectly, nicely breaded and well-seasoned, and the sauce was to die for. Good amount of cheese too. My wife had Fettucine Alfredo with Chicken. The sauce was creamy and cheesy, not overly greasy or watery. Pasta was cooked perfectly. We could not stay for dessert due to time contraints, however they offered a good selection. We'll definitely be going back to Angelo's. read more

I found Angelo's through a gluten free application I have, and I was very excited to have some gluten free Italian. Well, let me break it to you early, Italian didn't happen. We are seated and the waitress approached the table and I ask her which entrees can be prepared gluten free .... she starts rambling them off to me, tell me they have a GF penne pasta that can be subbed in - then, she lets me down. They have been out of GF pasta since Friday. Awesomesauce ... It really blows my mind because there is a Giant right across the street, easy solution to to their problem. But nonetheless I settle for a burger because they have GF Buns. Well, that shit was bland. Like even a bit of salt would have done wonders. But, I ate it anyway. The fries were pretty good. I thought maybe there would be redemption in dessert - not the case. The waitress offered me two cake desserts which both contained flour. I just gave up. As an Italian restaurant, if you're going to advertise all these wonder gluten free options - you should be prepared to deliver. read more

Out with hubby & had the urge for Italian food, more specifically, Eggplant Rollatini- eggplant thinly sliced, lightly breaded, stuffed with sweet ricotta cheese & topped with sauce & mozzarella cheese for $16.95. Although Eggplant Parmigiana was on the Early bird menu for $13.95 including soup or salad & Torta dessert we opted for our first choice. It was delivered to our table made to order & piping hot with delicious hot & crusty bread, crispy green salad & a side of penne ( I opted for linguini). Our server, Sis, was right - couldn't go wrong with anything on this menu! And the tiramisu was a perfect topper for the day. This is like the fourth time we be to Angelo's Southampton and I must say for my wife and I the eggplant Parmesan is amazing!! We tryed other places but they have the best by far!! Place is very clean and the atmosphere and service was very good!! It's a 20 minute ride to the restaurant and we pass like 15 others on the way to it.. but for us it's well worth it!! Let me begin by saying the food is good. It's not spectacular, and it's better than decent. That's not the problem, though. Unfortunately, almost every time we order from Angelo's, we have some sort of problem. Either something is wrong in the order, they forget something, or take over an hour to deliver food on a Wednesday. Something goes awry with every order. Now, if that were the only problem, I could deal with my overpriced cheesesteak. But no. The WORST part about this place is how indignant the staff/owners are when they make a mistake. You have to repeat yourself 12 times to the person answering the phone. After that, you have a 60% chance the order will come correct. Somehow, a quart of soup, a sandwich, and a dinner came out to $50. When it arrived incorrectly, we called to let them know. They then began to explain over and over that they charged us for the erroneous entree, and that what we ordered was more expensive. After that mind numbing exchange, they finally realized that we wanted them to bring us WHAT WE ORDERED. Then we received ANOTHER phone call asking us if we still wanted them to bring us the correct order. THE FINAL STRAW: The guy on the phone asked me if we were keeping the incorrect entree, bc if we were, we would be charged for it. Trying to keep my cool, I asked if he was suggesting that I was trying to get a free meal out of the deal, to which he backpedaled intensely and claimed he was "just trying to get it straight." They sent the correct meal to us, picked up the incorrect meal, and asked for the $3 difference. Unbelievable. Now, I'm not a cheapskate, nor am I sheisty in any way, but that has to be some of the worst customer service ever. If I were in business, I would go out of my way to ensure my customers came back. We didn't like, nor want the incorrect entree, but the least they could have done was skip the extremely uncouth "that'll be $3 extra" part. Needless to say, we're done with Angelo's. read more

The sauce was flavorful and seasoned well with just a slight bit of heat; there was a good amount of pepperoni and the amount of cheese was perfect. It was just not heated up enough. Couldn't have been more disappointed after patronizing Angelo's based on Yelp yesterday. Called 45 min in advance to order 3 grilled chicken breasts. As I'm on the road all day, I bring my own sides and am looking to eat healthy. So all I needed was the protein to add to my lunch meal. When I got to Angelo's to pick up my order, I was charged 21$ for 3 grilled chicken breasts. Nothing on the side, just plain chicken breast. As I order this same meal at restaurants all over the area, I was shocked at this price tag when I came to pick up. I've never paid more than 12$ anywhere else for the same order. Flabbergasted is an understatement when I opened the container to see 5"x2" grilled chicken fingers. For 21$. Angelo's, you've got to be kidding me. 21$ for three chicken breasts!? Hope you enjoyed taking advantage because there's not a situation in this world that would bring me back to patronize your establishment. read more

The only meal I wasn't crazy about was a sirloin steak I ordered but who goes to an Italian restaurant for steak, right? One of the best Italian restaurants in the area. I found this place when working on a customer site and they offered to pickup sandwiches. The hoagies they brought back were delicious and I asked them to tell me where they were from and they said "Angelo's, its a great little place on 2nd Street Pike." I took my girlfriend at the time for dinner one night and we never stopped going. Every time we go the food has been out of this world. We have tried everything from the specials, to pizza to our standard measure of any Italian Restaurant, Chicken Parm. I really like their Sicilian pizza. They have a great tasty crust and delicious gobs of cheese and toppings. This one is a must visit. Weekends get a little busy so its good to go early or stop by on a weeknight. read more

Food is really good but it's annoying they always charge me for things they never bring. Last time I ordered a bunch of food. My Caesar salad was missing and they argued with me I wasn't changed for it until I had to show my receipt and they finally gave it to me an hour later. Then tonight they charge me 2$ for a side of sauce for my Stromboli and of course it's not there. I'm just about done with them. We have been here twice and both times our meals were great. The clams in white wine sauce for an appetizer are a fantastic choice to start off. The broth also makes for a good dipping sauce for the warm bread. The Shrimp Venezia was a special for the evening and consisted of shrimp, mushrooms and cherry tomatoes in pesto blush sauce over fettuccine- the dish was so flavorful. The portions are just right: you don't feel overstuffed but you don't leave hungry. The customer service here is one of the best. You feel at home while dining. For dessert, the mini cannolis are a must try! One order includes three mini cannolis. They are the perfect little sweet treat to end a very enjoyable meal. It is a great neighborhood restaurant-- good food and a comfortable place to eat. The red sauce was always excellent and flavorful. However, several months ago there was a change. The Red Sauce changed from being flavorful and tasty, to now being bland and tasteless. I believe that the owner retired and another family member is in charge. The change in the sauce occurred at that time. We do not go there as often now. Please bring back the sauce that was consistent for so many years.i want the restaurant to continue to be a favorite neighborhood eatery for us. read more

We've been going to Angelo's for years and we've never once had a bad meal there. When family members visit us from out of town we always take them there because we know that they'll enjoy it. Over the years I think we might have had one waitress who was slightly irritable but I think she was just having a bad day, because the next time we were there she waited on us and was very nice. We've probably had just about everything on the menu by now, but my favorite is the Eggplant Rollatini and my husband loves the lasagna. It just doesn't get any better than Angelo's. read more
