Old school Italian decor at Angelos.

I absolutely love the chicken parm here. It's everything you want it to be crispy, saucy, and cheesy. Even down to the last bite is just as delicious as the first bite. Don't sleep on this place. The service was amazing as usual on a Thursday for lunch. The warm toasty bread and butter is heart warming and hits the spot. The decor may be a bit 1982, but the food is just as good as you remember it. This place reminds me of better times with my family and the chicken parm always hits the spot.

The staff was very friendly and compliant with all the COVID-19 restrictions and rules. The inside atmosphere is rustic and has a lot of pretty Italian landscape murals on the walls. All entrees come with either soup or salad. The salad comes with mixed greens and an array of salad dressing options. I got the Scallops Savoia which was very similar to Marsala. The mushrooms were tasty. The Scallops were a little gritty but also a pizzeria in the burbs so can't be overly picky, but they were large and not rubbery. Overall the dish was good!

Angelo's is a lovely local Italian establishment on 2nd Street Pike in the heart of the Southampton commercial district. The reviews show they have the devotion of a lot of people living in the area. After 30 years that is to be expected and it is well deserved. The facility is fairly large, with ample privacy for the tables. The staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive. The menu is traditional Italian-American fare, with many pizza options, Parms, Alfredo's, Marsala's, etc. Prices are very reasonable. My son and I went there last night for the first time. He had the Chicken Parm, with Minestone Soup; I the Pizza Rustica (small). The accompanying Italian bread was very tasty, with enough thin crusty crispiness to be enjoyable in taste and bite. I really enjoyed it with a smear of sweet butter. It was served warm. Son's Parm, was excellent. The breast was pounded and breaded with a pleasant bread crumb mix, and covered in a heavy fresh tomato sauce. He was rolling his eyes in delight. If anything was off, perhaps, the spaghetti side was a bit mushy (he gave me a taste of everything so I could review it). The Minestone was rich with veggies, pasta and a little beef. Very good. The Pizza Rustica was hand-pulled, with fresh Basil, Garlic, chunky Tomatoes, and a heavy Mozzarella finish. It was good. Now, pizza is a very personal and subjective taste. We are all experts. Some may love this style, but for me it left something to be desired. I prefer my pizza to have a thin, but firm crust that does not bend or fold under the weight of the toppings. This one suffered from cheese overload, and required a knife and fork. It was tasty, but the cheese overwhelmed the other flavors and softened the firmness I prefer. I added crushed hot pepper and garlic powder, which was helpful. We will certainly come again and see what else is cooking. I will tell the waitress more about my pizza preferences, and perhaps, we can reach an accommodation. A good chef appreciates a customer's positive input. Given all the other positives, Angelo's may yet become as special to me as it has been to so many long time patrons.

The food and service is excellent! Today my wife and I visited Angelo's for the first time since moving to the area. The service was friendly and quick, and the food tasty and fresh. Decor is quaint and clean, kind of cozy. Great for first dates, family dining, or casual get-togethers. Our salads were crisp and fresh and the dressing tasty. Then the entrees: I had the Chicken Parmigiana. The chicken was done perfectly, nicely breaded and well-seasoned, and the sauce was to die for. Good amount of cheese too. My wife had Fettucine Alfredo with Chicken. The sauce was creamy and cheesy, not overly greasy or watery. Pasta was cooked perfectly. We could not stay for dessert due to time contraints, however they offered a good selection. We'll definitely be going back to Angelo's.

$23 for a cheese steak hoagie and an order of onion rings so not worth it. I would avoid this place.

When I went in there was just one girl working up front. She took my order which is a pretty consolidated menu - just a few good options of pizza, steaks and chicken cutlets and a few sides. I like that it isn't so giant. I knew I wanted to try the mozzerella sticks and I was debating between a cheesesteak and a cutlet sandwich. But also was toying with the idea of a meatball- specifically because I heard they had good sauce and I wasn't trying a pizza this trip. I went with the cheesesteak which on the menu boasts ribeye and a seeded roll. I ordered cooper sharp (usually I do American, this was the first time getting cooper sharp) and onions. Let me first say the steak was chopped perfectly the sandwich was heftyyy and it was loaded with cheese - all mixed in. Very good! Super tender meat. I will say that, personally, I'm used to getting a lighter cheese steak and adding sauce so this was definitely different for me but I can recognize how good it was. I did decided to order a side of meatballs to try - this was the only thing that didn't hit for me. They weren't bad but I would have liked more flavor. They were super tender though and I could tell they were homemade just as the menu says (hand rolled with a 200 year old family recipe) and the sauce - amazing! I topped that sauce on my steak and it was an elite combo for me as I, again personal preference, like to break up the cheese a bit. Overall the steak was really good and oh my gosh the mozzerella sticks- they were huge and the breading had such great flavor! Definitely a perfect pairing with their sauce. If I come back knowing how good the mozz breading is I definitely wanna try a chicken cutlet and pizza. The food came out super fast was super fresh. Definitely a good spot and I'm sure I'll be back!

The staff is always respectful, friendly, and professional. Even when they're busy, they do a great job getting orders out in a reasonable amount of time. My pickup order included mozzarella sticks, pasta, and two cheesesteaks, and it was ready in about 30 minutes, which I thought was completely appropriate for the size of the order. The restaurant itself is a cozy local spot that is very clean and well maintained. The prices are more than fair considering how fresh the food is, the quality of the ingredients, and the generous portions. I've also tried their pizza, and it's fantastic as well. Hype chasing works against places more often than not. That said I'd come here again. It's a pretty small place. Casual. Nothing too fancy. Tables are pretty close together. Truffle fries were good, the right amount of truffle flavor. We split a chicken parm sandwich and a cheese steak. Both very good. Sauce on the parm has a sweet zing. The cheese steak was done in the modern style with the cooper sharp mixed in like a chopped cheese on a seeded roll. I find cheese steaks are either a 5 or a 7. Rarely do they stray outside the curve. This was most definitely on the 7 side. But the hype is a little over blown. What I wish we did was order a pizza. Every pie I saw looked fantastic.

The Rigatoni was also in limited supply on the plate, but did hold the vodka blush well, which was pretty good. They serve a delicious homemade bread that's warm when it's brought the table. In addition, it's accompanied by a dish of olive oil, with balsamic vinegar and what I believed to be a spicy dusting of pepper. It was a little too spicy for me - however, I did like the addition of the balsamic as a change from just olive oil. I would skip the pepper though, unless you like spice. We ordered the Polpette as an appetizer; it's a 'tradition' of mine. If meatballs are on the menu, I will always order them. These lamb, veal and beef meatballs were very good, and the marinara sauce they came in was excellent! The sauce is actually a 'roasted pomodoro' gravy - which is an 'intensified' version of a classic Italian sauce. It's made by roasting the tomatoes at a very high heat and almost caramelizing them. A little feta was added to the sauce, which really highlighted those meatballs!! We split the order - as 5 meatballs is quite a large appetizer! We decided to share two entrees - the Beef Short Ribs and the Lobster Ravioli. I always ask if the short ribs are lean - our server responded they were very lean...and they were. Soft, tender and very flavorful large chunks of beef, with a deliciously rich gravy with mushrooms on a bed a creamy garlic mashed potatoes! It was a superb dish! The website said the Short Ribs were the restaurant's most popular meal. Next, the Lobster Ravioli. The dish was a very 'delicate' one, with a very subtle brandy cream sauce. It had chopped jumbo shrimp and peeled cherry tomatoes with the raviolis. While the sauce tasted fine, it needed 'something' - we added pepper which helped. The raviolis were good - we couldn't taste lobster in the cheese of the raviolis - we assumed it was there. The chopped shrimps though provided a nice additional seafood flavor. I like my raviolis tender - the kind that almost melt in your mouth. The pasta here was firmer - a little more 'al dente', but it was fine. We ended our meal with the Chocolate Mousse. Served in a martini glass, the mousse had a velvety texture with a deep dark chocolate flavor. It was very rich yet light and fluffy; a good choice for dessert!

They must not entertain often because we were the only people in there besides a couple. The staff was nice and very busy juggling phone orders while helping us. We put in an order for buffalo wings, a small tomato pie and a chicken caesar wrap. The food came out pretty quick. The wrap was simple and nothing special as well as the fries that came with it. The wings were medium sized, appeared to have been freezer burned (dark spots), and were ok. The hot sauce was cut with butter and tasty. On to the Tomato pie, if you like your pie with chunks of San Marzano's and on the sweeter side you'll love it. The crust was typical for the style - not too thin or thick, crispy and the slices were almost as straight as an arrow. Cheese was minimal and I didn't detect much in the way of extras like garlic or oil. Overall, the pie was pretty simple with chunked and pureed San Marzano's, cheese and crust. My son devoured half of it and approved. I'm giving them 4 stars/great based on the tomato pie. The rest of the food experience and ambiance was just ok. Their menu has a lot of items to explore like pasta dishes, sandwiches and their regular pizza so another trip may happen when I'm in the area again. The staff was friendly and that's always appreciated. Thanks guys!
