Don't miss this stop! Found Angel's on Yelp, nearly passed it on my way in. It's a little cafe nestled into a parking lot easy to miss. It's one of the those small coffee diners that has hot coffee and an array of options. Opted for a California Eggs Benedict. My avo was nice, hollandaise tasty and hash browns were crispy. My spouse and I both ordered the Eggs Benedict with hash browns, and the breakfast was fantastic -- perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The service was courteous and prompt. She handled the entire restaurant by herself with ease, including to go orders, helping folks with taking coffee with them and keeping tables refilled and happy. First a slight grinch- the address may be on 4th,but the entrance is on 5th, I haven't gotten my food yet so I'll give my 2nd grinch- the menu on yelp has 4 breakfast items. The actual menu is quite diverse. Ok, that is literally my only issues. The place is nice and clean. The waitresses are friendly and efficient. I was really ready to like this and agree with all the 5 star reviews. Alas, the food is mixed. The portions are generous. I really wish they had a senior menu because it was exactly twice what I wanted. The link sausage is excellent. My eggs were perfectly cooked. Unfortunately that is the only good part. The hollandaise sauce totally ruined the eggs benedict and my friend ate the overage on my breakfast instead. The French toast is only OK. If you like diner coffee it's probably pretty good. As a coffee snob don't bother, not their issue, it's mine. As I said the waitresses were the best part of breakfast. read more

This place may not look like much on the outside but the food is actually quite good. I had some time to kill before a flight out of PSC. The small restaurant is located by an airport motel. It plays some great music from the 50s and 60s. It really reminded me of my dad because this is always what he made me listen to on road trips as a kid. I ordered the pancake combo after seeing a lady next to me get these very large and delicious looking pancakes. It came with two scrambled eggs and a side of bacon. You could also choose sausage or ham. All of my food was great. The portions were very substantial and I could not finish it. Tabasco was on every table but if you asked they had several other hot sauces including my favorite Cholula. My server was super friendly and efficient. They give you a discount if you pay with cash. On a busy Saturday morning, four people running the place, no wait. We were greeted immediately on entering. Offered a table and hot drinks on being seated. Very cute American classic decor. The kitchen is quite quick at getting orders out. She had the biscuits and sausage gravy. He had the Memphis omelet, hash browns and a biscuit. First of all, these biscuits are the bomb! So good! The restaurant was really busy and maybe that's why we sat for an unusual amount of time before our order was taken. Once our order was taken the food didn't take long, too bad it sat on the counter getting cold while the server was being overwhelmed by cleaning tables, seating customers, refilling coffee and taking payments. Once we did receive our cold food I still had some hope, which was quickly dashed by the first bite. Salt and pepper, it does wonders to food, which my food lacked. My omelette tasted rubbery, the cheese, which there was very little of was no longer melted and tasted like bagged cheese, the large chucks of unseasoned tomatoes and avocados were cold. My daughter had the biscuits and gravy, I did taste her food which tasted alright, but sprinkling the sausage on top makes it look like rabbit droppings. Besides that the sausage was cold and the gravy had a thick floury texture, I wonder if it was instant gravy. The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because the biscuit had a great flavor and the coffee was pretty good. For $30 I would never go back. read more
