Ok, they have a pretty big variety of donuts. I was really surprised at how much was available at 3 in the afternoon. Store was clean and the donuts were so good! I got carried away and bought 8 for the 3 of us. It took us 3 days to eat them and they were still soft, I couldn't believe it. Service was over the top! I'm not from Portland. I'm from sunny Southern California. My last trip to see my son we had to cancel our hike due to inclement weather. Which is apparently no big deal. Luckily that detour had us stop at Angels Donuts. I may not know Portland but I know donuts. First off this place is nice. Clean bright and airy. A great little lounge area with sofas so you could act like your on friends. I'm a Chandler. What about you? I had a Belgium cream filled donut that was awesome. The coffee was a kick your ass caffeine punch in the face. The way coffee was meant to be. So skip all the over rated Portland donut shops, yes I mean voodoo, and get your morning started with some good old fashioned donuts and a strong cup of Joe at Angels donuts. Best donuts in the 'Couve! I especially love the Krullers...Maple is my go to flavor! Their Maple taste so buttery and super delicious! I made a second visit here because the first time I observed the donuts were better than the grocery store kind. On a Saturday morning, there was a steady flow of customers. Counter help was friendly and efficient. Unique flavors included maple bars with bacon bits and S'mores donuts. 5 stars for adding a Claw Machine recently at $1 a try...lol! read more

What a bargain! The donuts here are delicious! We went in and got a bakers dozen. We explored the inventory and got a mix of donuts. The chocolate is heavenly! Doghnuts were great. Place was clean and well lit. Parking was OK. Service was spot on. The only thing that hurts my review is the cost. Maybe it's the new norm for some but $20+ for a dozen is too much unless they are all specialty doughnuts. There are other places around that are cheaper and every bit as good. Truly some of the best doughnuts we've ever had! The Churro Cream was incredible with a lovely cinnamon sugar coating and a neutral cream center. The raspberry curd in the raspberry filled doughnut is not overly sweet nor overly tart - it has the perfect balance between the two. The only minor gripe is that the "campfire" (aka s'mores) was not as chocolatey and marshmallow-y as I would have liked. There was plenty of parking available in the front, the associate was super friendly, the location was immaculately clean, and there were an abundance of fresh doughnuts still available when we went (around 9:00 AM on a Saturday morning). They have donuts, burgers, ice cream, fries, even a mini claw machine. Very nice people behind the counter. The inside is a bit spartan and there aren't really places to sit, just a few stools. The ice cream flavors were awesome, and they had vegan ice cream as well as a vegan donut option. Iced latte was not the greatest as the person making it was new, but everything else was top tier. read more

In south Salmon Creek (or north Hazel Dell or east Felida depending on which way you'se drivin'), the convenient paradise to get donuts is the appropriately-named Angels Donuts (and Ice Cream if you're livin' life large) on Hwy 99. It's not really heavenly or even any place special, but Angels' got what you want (desire/require ... tomato/donuts). The service at the counter was friendly. The transaction was pretty simple involving me pointing, her picking followed by me paying and leaving. Success! Capitalism at its tastiest ... and, best of all, no lemons were involved. read more

Stopped when we stopped at an adjacent sammy place. I'm always crazy about Bavarian Cream and got a maple bar to go. Our choices were standards and they weren't above average in taste. I believe I paid roughly around 4$ for these two choices. They had a vast selection as well as an ice selection (I believe was not tillamook or umpqua). I would imagine this be a good place to treat youngings but would be a nice place to sit and unwind with some sweets. read more

Listen carefully. Do. NOT. Hesitate. These donuts are INCREDIBLE! I now understand why this is called Angel's Donuts - the maple long john was heaven sent, supple and melting in my mouth. All the donuts sounded so good, we left with 16 in total. They were the perfect mix of creative without veering too far from the classics. 5 stars for service and products! And prices are slightly lower than comparable places like the Donut Nook! There are several tables for indoor dining and the shop is spacious so you don't feel crowded at all. We were Donut Nook loyal until we tried Angels donuts. The man behind the counter has helped us the 2 times we have been there recently. He is very patient, even when we have a line behind us and we still dont know which of their amazing goodies to pick from. They have a big variety and offer ice cream (Umpqua!!) as well as tots, fries, lunch foods, and a donut sundae! I can't wait to try more stuff from this sweet little shop. My fave so far are the donuts hole and the bacon bar but we tried several others, like the blueberry loaf thing, they are all delish. That's all I can say. Go now! You won't regret it. Cute & small little local option! Also a plus they are open pretty late. I'm not a big doughnut fan but they also have ice cream and a few drink options. We got 6 doughnuts for some friends they were cute had a good selection and reasonably priced! We also went later in the day I'm sure the morning would boast an even wider selection. The lobby isn't super cozy it gave me cafeteria vibes but it was clean and organized. Check this place out in lieu of your average chain establishment for sure. I did call before going in to make sure the online hours were correct because I didn't want to pop in 20 mins before they closed & the person who answered was prompt & assured me they were. read more

Had a donut bar that looked like a brick and was nearly as dense as one. (Old-fashioned bar). Maybe it had been sitting out too long or maybe it was soaked with grease. After eating it, I literally felt grossed out for the rest of the day. Also, the clerk was overly-friendly. Sometimes we all just want to get in and out without hearing all about Angel and their family stories. I really wanted to like this place and support a local family business, but the product has to be good. This was a bad experience. read more

Love having another donut shop near Salmon Creek. Great selection of donuts and ice cream. Tried an Apple fritter and a buttermilk bar this morning. The fritter was great, the bar was undercooked sadly, so much so that the center was basically a raw dough ball. Bummer we didn't find out until we had already got home or else would have asked for a refund or a new donut. Will definitely give them another shot in the future. read more

Gave this place a try this morning and it was pretty disappointing. I'm hoping the quality of the donuts is just based on them being fairly new and still trying to figure out how to make the donuts. Our glazed donuts were very doughy, seemed undercooked and very little glaze on it. The fruit filled donuts were the same way and the fruit filling was just a clump on the very middle of the donuts, took two bites to get to the filling part. Cinnamon roll was actually good and was fluffy with just the right amount of glaze on it. Price seemed reasonably but for the quality I'd have been better off getting donuts from Fred Meyer. I'll give them another try in a few months and hope for better results. read more
