Our backyard was in horrible shape, and had been for many years. Our backyard was in need of a major makeup and Angel and his team did an amazing job. We had lots of overgrown, and I mean LOTS of overgrown ivy. We needed our wooden fence completely removed and replaced. And at one time we did have grass, but because we love our dogs, it was completely destroyed. We had a few companies come out to give us quotes, and Angel was the only one to say that putting grass in would be a waste of money because of our dogs. He suggested decomposed granite. WHICH WE ABSOLUTELY LOVE!!! Really and truly, we can't say enough wonderful things about Angel and his team. They worked when it was over 100 degrees out with zero shade, and were able to remove all of the ivy, replace our barley hanging on fence, put down beautiful pink rocks in our borders AND lay the decomposed granite. They did all of that for a very fair price and had it all done in a week. What we appreciated most was his willingness to share his knowledge, and he has a lot of it. Angel and his team did a fantastic job on our yard! It was in pretty bad shape and he worked with me and our budget to create something that's now incredibly serene and beautiful. He trimmed our orange tree (which I originally wanted to remove) and convinced me to keep it because of the shade it provides and he was right! And it looks beautiful again! He trimmed our overgrown fig tree. He removed all the weeds (there were A LOT) and laid grass and gravel. He reactivated and repaired an old sprinkler system that was already in the backyard. I highly recommend Angel and his crew- they completely rehabbed our yard. We just moved in to this rental whose yard had been neglected for far too long. Angel's team pulled the weeds, trimmed the bushes, took out 3 dead/dried bushes, trimmed and sculpted the palm (that was sooo overgrown) and generally cleaned up the yard. I was very impressed with the transformation. Angel is very knowledgeable on plants- he answered all my questions and even helped me figure out an old watering system the previous owner installed. Our yard is very low maintenance as we have artificial turf in our backyard. I hired Angel based on Yelp reviews & and it really saddens me to write this review. There were weeds growing on perimeter of property that I constantly had to be asking them to remove. There was always excuse about why it couldn't be done. They didn't have enough time, needed to use weed killer. They sprayed weed killer without telling me and we have three dogs. I was assured it was organic and not harmful to dogs, but I never saw the package. After they sprayed weed killer, the next week I again asked for weeds to be removed. Was told I had to wait for the weeds to die from being sprayed & only then would weeds be pulled. Today was the final straw...I took pictures of the yard and sent to Angel. I told him the weeds needed to be pulled this week or else I would be looking for a new gardner. He never responded to me, but texted my husband and said they had to use weed killer or couldn't do their job. Going to my husband and not dealing with me was deal breaker. Last week I asked them to pull the weeds and was told "we don't have any time." Remember, our backyard is entirely artificial turf! If you have a small yard, and don't mind blow and go, this crew is perfect. read more
