At some point it was clear at the end to provide a place for end of life care. To help a person be clean, cared for free of pain in the transition from life to death. He was there about a week and was clean and made comfortable for what their ability was. The rooms large, solid and private with other areas & break rooms for family to gather. 24 hours a day. Just want to say that the negative reviews seem to be based on people not understanding what hospice is. It is for end of life after doctors are unable to do anything more for them and they are near dying. I am sorry they had confusion at that time, but they should not detract from the facility. Some also seemed to expect the hospice to make arrangements for funeral homes, burials or cremations for them. No. When a family member is sick or at end of life YOU need to make arrangements for that. So I think some reviews were unreasonable in medical type expectations and also cremation and funeral type arrangements which they do not do and people should not expect them to make recommendations as potential conflict of interests. But, thank you to all the staff there and their kindness & care which is a tough situation & time.

The administrative staff was professional, responsive, and compassionate, making a difficult time much easier to navigate. The nursing team treated my father with dignity, kindness, and genuine concern, while the PT/OT staff were knowledgeable, patient, and truly invested in his progress. The social worker was invaluable--guiding our family through care planning and next steps with clarity and empathy. The facility was exceptionally clean, well maintained, and well organized, and communication with our family was excellent throughout. Entrusting a loved one's care is never easy, but Burgess Square earned our complete confidence. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone seeking exceptional rehabilitation and senior care.

With all the events in our current world and with the shut down of the community it has been especially hard on my family, myself, and my grandma. The media put our family in fear that at any moment we could get a phone call that there was an outbreak. There NEVER WAS an outbreak! The staff worked through these amazing times with great dedication and strength to continue to keep everyone safe and healthy. Not seeing or being able to hug my grandma has been difficult but the staff has been great keeping in touch with us, through FaceTime and constant contact when either one of us needed it. They have been amazing keeping her spirits up through the last few months. They truly are heroes!

Admittedly this one has need for some improvements, but it is clean, food is good staff is welcoming. It's not easy leaving a loved one in a facility, fear of how they'll be treated or looked after is a major concern. What eases my mind are some of the caregivers that handle my dad. Lisa Smith, Lisa Sutton, David & Juna have always shown my father respect & concerned care. They are always helpful & answer my concerns when questioned. Kwame, has been extremely good in helping him. One day he was changing him & was so patient. I thanked him & he replied it's important to treat them as you would want to be cared for . It was easy to see what a genuine good soul he has as was the same with the others I mentioned above. It's never easy having a family member in a facility, but it's a blessing to have people who seem to genuinely care for his welfare.

However, we interacted the most with Grace who was on-call at the time we engaged them and helped my Dad a good bit during his last couple of days. Grace was super patient with us when we asked lots of questions about his care and hospice in general. LifeChoice also provided a rabbi for us and I think my father really appreciated that the rabbi visited with him for over an hour. I think they provided my father a lot of peace and comfort during his final days. My only regret was not engaging them sooner. Their whole demeanor and attitude is that of angels, compassion, empathy, love..When he was in the hospital, he was not receiving the proper pain management, they kept delaying the hospitals hospice program while my dad was dying in pain. I was desperate to get him home. Alena, the administrator, moved mountains to make that happen. They got my dad home in less than 18 hours, they were by my father's bedside within two hours of me calling desperate for help, which felt like a miracle during such a difficult time. Daniel, the nurse who came to the hospital, was so attentive and caring such a such a genuine person. And once we were home, nurse Julie and nurse Grace took over and truly went above and beyond. They made sure the bed oxygen tanks supplies and meds was delivered before my dad even got home.They made sure my dad was comfortable, out of pain, and surrounded by dignity and respect--something he was not receiving in the hospital. there was also a Sweet CNA that came to help as well, Because of them, my dad was able to pass peacefully at home, just as he deserved. That means everything to me my father and our family. All of my father's friends and loyal family were able to come visit with him before he passed the next morning.. I highly recommend this hospice agency to anyone going through end-of-life care for a loved one--or even for themselves. Don't wait until the last minute.
