Every once in a while, I even attempt to hide my tics if I have to for less than a minute. However, something that still surprises me after 24 years is when strangers have the audacity to mock me. In public especially. I walked in 10 minutes before closing to buy some soap. As I used the self checkout line, one of the employees looked at me directly in the eye, smiled, and then attempted to make the same sound I just made from a tic. I wasn't even the only person there. I guess she thought it was funny enough for an audience. I've seen just about every reaction possible to my tics. I'm willing to think that the employee truly thought it was a harmless joke because she helped me find the soap and told me goodnight afterwards. But seriously? Did no one ever teach her basic decency? Do better next time.

Most shopping experiences here are negative. It's the…read morecashiers. Rude, controling wise-asses. The lady says "go ahead and slide your card" before I am even given a chance. My response, "the shopping cart is in the way," as it usually is, "how can I do that?" She completly ignores me. "You can slide your card any time after the first item is scanned." She is obviously in too much of a hurry, I don't like being herded like cattle even if a line is forming behind me. My last negative encounter before this, I scooted the cart over a little so I could indeed slide the card early. The cashier slams it back over immediately while glaring at me. She wasn't short and could easily reach over the side. Just another control freak. I wish they would make up their minds. It doesn't matter any longer though. Kroger exclusively from now on.

We paid and went and sat directly outside the door. Now, the box of the squishy was pretty damaged, but I didn't think anything of it, so I opened it and the bag, it was in was ripped open, still didn't think anything of it until I took out the squishy and it was broken. so I was kind of mad, and I went inside to see if I could return it and the "manager" told me If the bag was closed , then I could return it so he opened it, and of course the bag was ripped open and he told me that it could not be returned. I argued that it was that it was like that when I bought it, but he told me I was a liar and proceeded to open every single other box to show me that they all came closed and the boxes that he opened were also damaged and most of the bags were ripped open as well and he would hold them closed and tell me that I was lying and they were closed. I didn't feel like fighting him, so I grabbed my squishy and went out the door to my cousin. I told her what happened and she wasn't happy but we decided to leave cause we didn't want to fight anymore P.S " manager's" name is Iris Worst customer service I have ever had. It feels just as big if not bigger than the one I go to, and the main thing that sold me on it is that they have keto tortillas. I'm trying to increase my protein intake right now, so this HEB having 90 calorie mini tortillas that have 8 grams of protein in each one is huge for me. Also, they tasted good, and had a good thickness and texture to them too.

We were nearly run over by numerous people inside the store with not so much as a "Pardon me" or "sorry for almost killing you." Probably why we avoid coming to HEB on a Sunday.
