We just purchased a home that was built in the 60s. The home desperately needed all new landscaping front and back as it was the original work. Angels landscape came highly recommended to us by a landscape architect. We called Robert, the owner to come out and give us a quote. Robert was very prompt, professional and complete with his quote. He spent quite a while with us going over the plans and adding some of his own creativity to the existing plans. He's been in this business quite a while, and he has a good eye for what needs to be done and how it needs to be executed correctly. Robert is very hands-on and meticulous in the work. The work came out beautiful, and we are extremely happy with the outcome. Any problems we had were taken care of right away and everything was done just as we had hoped. I called Angels Landscape with a tree emergency! My tree in the backyard had overgrown to the point of intruding on my neighbor's yard and my kid's swing set. While my neighbors were kind enough not to complain, my kids on the other hand were not. Angels Landscape came out the same day and gave me an estimate and returned a day later to do the work. Two people came out and were quick and efficient. They cleaned up afterwards and even cut off the limbs of the tree that were pointed straight at my neighbor's fence. After such amazing work, I got an estimate to have my lawns done on a regular basis. I should say that Angels Landscape is much more than Lawns and trees, their masonry work is unbelievable. I don't like making these kinds of reviews, but unfortunately I did not have the best experience in the end. It started out good (reason for the 2 stars instead of 1) when I contacted them and Joaquin was pleasant and able to get me connected to Angel for an estimate. Angel came to our home and was nice. I described the multiple projects we wanted to do as well as a suggested budget. He was able to give me a quote on the spot for one of the projects (lawn and sprinklers) but said he would need to do some research on prices for the other projects, which made sense and totally agreed with. Angel called the next day saying he was still looking at prices and would call me back. That was on May 25. I called and texted Joaquin and Angel, as well as called their main line multiple times requesting a follow up. Joaquin did get back to me once saying he would respond with an update the same day but never did. It's now June 9 (2 weeks later) and I figured it was now time to give up and finally write a review. I was just hoping they would give me a courtesy call at some point telling me that they were still researching or at least tell me that they wouldn't take the job if my budget was limiting them. We could have had a conversation on realistic expectations and I may have expanded my budget if needed, assuming that was a reason for not returning my calls. And given how polite they were on the phone and in person, I was really looking forward to working with them. Guess it's a good thing not to start a project with a company that may not return your calls and keep you posted along the way. If you decide to go with them, I hope you have better luck than I did. read more

As with a couple other reviews, after multiple phone calls and conversations, and telling me that they would, I couldn't get them to come out and give a quote. I think if the job is too small, they're not interested. That's fine, but after I mentioned that, and the one guy assured me that wasn't the case, still never heard from them. I get it, just tell me the jobs not worth it, so I can go in another direction. read more

Angels Landscape put in a complete front yard for me. It was built to my design specifications, and included a deck, concrete and brick ramp, walkway, low flow irrigation, lighting, and many plants (all low water types). Robert (project manager) scheduled the start time so his crews could complete the project with no downtime gaps. The crews include several family members, and all their people work together well. Each crew was great to work with and have on site. The brick work and concrete ramp is a marvel of craftsmanship. My yard has been in place for several weeks, and I receive compliments everyday from passersby. I believe it is one of the best lawn-to-garden projects in town. Angels recently relandscaped our front yard in Lakewood. We couldn't be happier with the results and were completely impressed by the professionalism of the entire team. After trying for weeks to find a landscaping company who would answer the phone, return our calls or follow-up on anything, we had almost given up. Fortunately we called Angels. Robert came out promptly and gave us a quote on the spot. He followed up that evening with a written quote, copy of insurance, link to their business license and list of stellar references. Their pricing was very reasonable and we were thrilled that they could started the job the next day. All of the workers they sent were great! Hard working professionals who made sure we were happy with everything they did. Robert was there every morning to let us know what would be done that day and followed up in the afternoon. We had a plan and they executed it perfectly. It included new concrete walkway extension, new brink planters, remove all old lawn and replace with 50% new grass and 50% decorative rock and sand, new sprinkler and drip system with timers (including new electrical box), several palm trees, drought resistant plants and boulders. We moved into our new house in January this year. It had not been well maintained and the front yard was mostly dirt and weeds. Coupled with an older house that was a bit rundown, we needed landscaping to breathe new life into our property. Enter Robert from Angel's Landscaping! A good friend had recommended Robert to us. Robert is a quiet, patient man who has extensive experience in landscape work. Right away he said we needed a design plan to help us get started and he recommended a designer for us to work with. While excited at the prospect of having a designer's input, all I thought was "we can't afford someone like that," but Robert assured us that the designer was reasonable and produced results. It was a great suggestion. We ended up with a front yard space we never could have done on our own. Robert used the plan to estimate the job, we signed the agreement and implementation of the plan began. Robert met with us many times to discuss various aspects of the plan plus material options. We took time to find the right products within our budget, and eventually it all came together. Robert's experiences offered fresh insights into key decisions and we needed his expertise. Our landscape is complete now and it looks fantastic! Many neighbors have stopped by tells us how nice our landscaping turned out and that makes us feel good. I wouldn't be truthful if I said everything was perfect. We had our issues and mainly it was due to scheduling and timing. Our job took all summer to complete which was much longer than the six weeks we anticipated. Angel's had to juggle client jobs with ours and sometimes days would pass with no progress. And, sometimes our slow decisions affected their timing too, causing further delays. At the end of the project we had one small issue with our lawn. Robert said it would resolve on its own in a couple of weeks and he gave us his assurance that he would repair it if he was wrong. He has been a man of his word on every detail so we are confident that this too will be done to our satisfaction. What more can you ask of a company. They saw the job from start to finish, delivered a beautiful result and within budget. We derive so much joy from looking at our new yard. It's a night and day difference from where we started. I have Angels for over 5 years and their lawn service has seen a major decline in service. As an example, the guys prune my rose bushes with a weed wackier. Just as the roses are starting to bloom they wack them all away! In addition, I have been trying to get my sprinklers fixed for the past 6 weeks and after numerous phone calls and canceled appointments they are still not fixed. Very frustrating! read more

I had Angels do very basic lawn work for the last 10 years. They weren't great but they were good enough for the edging and hedge cutting I needed. They also put in two lawns for me, the latest last October. Within three months the lawn was starting to show problems -- thinning in areas and brown patches developing in the corners. I started seven months of calls to try to get things back on track. Joaquin was my point person and he was incredibly polite and friendly on the phone. But ultimately he never delivered on his promises and then he handed me off to a new landscaper without ever explaining what he was doing. For several weeks I thought the gardener coming to my home was one of Angel's crew. Very disappointed that their way of dealing with a problem was to drop a customer rather than do the work required to get it fixed. read more

Angels Landscaping is awesome!!! I called, received a quote and the team was at my house bright and early a couple of days later. Robert, the project manager has great vision. I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted and he helped me figure it out with his design knowledge and experience. I had my irrigation system repaired, new concrete put down, natural stone laid on the porch and they designed a new front garden with Palm tress and a host of other plants and flowers. It's so lovely and beautiful to look at. I have several people stopping to look at the design and many compliments. Roberts team is professional, courteous and very timely. Robert was on site daily to monitor the work and make sure things were to the finest standards. They started on Monday and the job was completed on Thursday. My yard was left in immaculate condition. So I came home and water was coming up through my driveway. It was a terrifying feeling to say the least. So I called up Angels Landscape based on a referral from a friend that I had called about my problem. Apparently these guys can pretty much do anything. Robert from Angels Landscape came out to see what was going on under my driveway. It turned out to be a broken waterline. Of course, my wife and I panicked. However, Robert talked us through several options that we had, which I appreciated. I'm not a social guy, but Robert was pretty easy to talk to, and I could tell right away he knew what he was talking about. These guys replaced the water line without making me pull my hair out, and there wasn't like ten thousand price changes. Robert either answered my calls, or got back to me shortly after I called. I can't say how important that was given how stressful it was having our main water line break on us. They did a great job with the cement by the sidewalk. They had to break some of it to replace the line, and you wouldn't even know it was ever broken. These guys are professional and not crooks, which is sadly becoming pretty rare these days.
