The food in general was well prepared, delicious and certainly had a sophisticated knowledge of spicing in flavoring. But it's more the minor details that stops an experience from being a really wonderful one. So here are some details, you may think I'm crazy or you may relate. The first was coffee: they didn't have decaf and they don't have half-and-half. I'm not going to speculate why, but for quite a few of us decaf is a true pleasure and it'd be nice to have that available. To the waitresses credit she offered to bring me milk and cream, so I could make my own half-and-half? That was a first! The second was the hot chocolate: the actual hot chocolate was quite delicious, Mexican style with some cinnamon. But it was topped with a mountain of whipped cream and some small crunchy pieces. I think it's pretty standard nowadays that when you're going to top a drink like that the staff tends to ask whether you like whipped cream or not. I really dislike whipped cream so had to scoop all that stuff off. The next one was just simply funny: when you're ordering a side order of eggs, one option they list on the menu is a sunny side up egg, one of the other options is to have a "fried egg". I asked the waitress what exactly a fried egg was, she didn't know. She asked the chef, and apparently they didn't know either. So I ordered it over easy, hoping that was doable, but I just got a sunny side up egg instead. And lastly, was the ambience: the space is quite nice and comfortable, but if you're sitting in the outer ring near the windows and it's a very cold winter day (which it was when we ate) expect to be cold in there. They kindly offered to hang our coats, but I had to keep mine on the whole time. Maybe if the insulation and heating system is unable to keep up, you bring in a couple space heaters for the day?

I'm not sure in what situation it's appropriate to ask a customer to pay more because the restaurant got the order wrong. It left a really sour note, especially as a regular customer. The bartender went to a TV 3 positions down the bar and when he was unable to get the channel to change threw the remote down and WALKED AWAY! Now I was pissed and when he came back, I said, "I wasn't kidding, please put the Yankees back on". He again went to the TV almost completely out of view and was able to change the channel this time. Why he chose a TV so far out of our field of view I have no idea as three of the other five TV's all had on a soccer game which no one was watching. Again, the bar was not full at all!. Now when we go out on the weekends we usually have several drinks as well as full dinners. I was so angry at this TV situation and the bad soup that I didn't finish my drink and we finished the evening early. Then I received the check, our bill was an outrageous $88.00 (2 doubles, soup, chicken fingers & a quesadilla) I was astonished for appetizers and one drink each. Overall, the service was poor and the food mediocre! Not worth the dollar value at all. We will not be back.

We started off with the patron tree and ordered mango, peach, raspberry, and strawberry. We opted for on the rocks versus frozen. All of them were very good not overly sweet. For apps, we got chips and homemade salsa with the diablito queso (jalapeños) We ordered the Birria tacos, and the three taco combination with Carnitas and tacos al Pastor.
