    "Buffalo" chicken pizza

I just got my delivery order and I wish they would come take it back and give me my $30 back. I ordered a large buffalo chicken pizza that was priced at $18.99 on the google menu. It arrives and it's over $29. The driver kept my receipt. There is no red sauce, minimal buffalo sauce and no blue cheese. I will never order again!! I called the store and I'm told that they have charged the delivery fee of $10 for 14 years well that's news to me since this is my first & last delivery. Save yourself the trouble and order earlier from Barnwood for delivery or two brothers for pick up.

Fantastic menu options of American, Italian and Authentic Spanish food and Spanish or American Breakfast foods!!! Ate here 2x on vaca. Well worth eating here for breakfast or dinner!!! Delicious and friendly Wait Staff.

Vegetable enchilada w/ beans & rice; salsa, quac, sour cream on the side. They added lovely flavor combos to the dish.

The lovely lady serving us was attentive and polite. I've never had a vegetable enchilada before but it was actually quite tasty. The $8 chips and quac however left much to be desired.. would definitely go back to try another dish from the diverse variety that is offered:) not often one comes by delicious Mexican food around these parts so I'm very excited to explore places like this one. Sweet people, good food, nice service.

Service was friendly and the food was amazing. The "new" (to us) building was spacious and clean. Perhaps because it wasn't too busy on a Thursday evening, it wasn't overly crowded (three tables were taken when we got there at around 8pm), but you could definitely hear the conversations from tables that were close by. Complimentary rolls were delicious. We got the Calamari Fritta to start and no complaints. Nice, crisp, light breading with a pleasant marinara dipping sauce. My GF got the Gnocchi in a fra diavolo sauce, which she loved (and said would order again) and I got the shrimp scampi with linguine; it came with 7 or 8 decently-sized shrimp that was combined with the silky smooth, lemony, buttery, garlicky scampi sauce. Absolutely would order again. Piccolo Trattoria will always be on my list of go-to places whenever we are in the area.

The rice ball appetizer: We have gotten them in Sicily and my MIL and other family members made them- we still get them in Bensonhurst Brooklyn, these were such a strange weird consistency- mushy, almost like mashed potatoes, I think it may have been a tiny bit of rice, mushy breadcrumbs it looked like and a very tiny bit of meat mushed in it. Lasagna- (this was the real reason for our visit- the best is at Canalis in Rotterdam but we hoped for as good and closer)- TOTALLY overcooked mushy pasta (you undercook the noodles Al dente because it's baked and continues cooking after it's made), couldn't taste any of the supposed meat inside, just an overwhelming amount of cheese. All that said- "the bread was good". Staff were friendly and it's a very cute place, but unfortunately we won't be returning.

Ima keep ranting about this part of New York. This area really don't got a lot of good flavor. And…read morewhat I mean by that, like the cooking just ain't cooking for most of these spots. And idk what it is, it could be just the local folks don't got that much flavor in their taste buds and they the anti-City folk type so most of the businesses just lack in that field. With that said... this was a pretty decent Italian spot I will say WITH that consideration in mind. I did have the ravioli with slow cooked carne inside and that was delicious. My wife got the lasagna and... it was iiiitte. Family next to us were raving about it and like they were nice and we were being polite. But like let's be real here - it tasted like Stouffer's. Not that it's a knock, but at that point, you paying for the atmosphere. Which I will say the indoors is nice. You can have a nice date night or family outing here. There's a bar and plenty of parking. The service was on point and very accommodating with our new born. Who we were chopping it up with our waiter, and found out the owner's name is also the same as our kid so that was fun talking with them on. The garlic bread - idk if it's supposed to come cold, but it had like tomato sauce on it, it was like the complimentary bread with some extra shit on it. But I wasn't feeling that, but my inner Italian side just kept dipping it in my red, and it was all good. I'm glad we came here but probably won't be back if given the chance. But we looked around, and it seemed like to be the only viable Italian restaurant in the area so, if given under the same conditions, we would be back lol. I just went back and forth there like 3 times. Is that non-Ai enough of a review for you Yelp? After they flagged me for actually structuring and editing my reviews like in old school English class. Now yelp is promoting "Yelp Assistant" even though it's Ai. Gtfo here lmao

We were not disappointed. We were seated promptly by our lovely hostess, and Shaun immediately came over to recite specials and to take our orders. He was attentive and we knew we were in good hands! We started with the Dr. Fox Cocktail: Angostura bitters, Bulleit Rye, Apple Liqueur, Dry Curacao, and Sweet Vermouth, which was perfect. It was accompanied by a hummus trio to spread on the bread. There was also a delicious foccacio. Next we were served a perfect salad, delicately dressed, and what made the salad so delightful was that the lettuce was torn into manageable pieces. A pet peeve of mine is large lettuce leaves that are difficult to wrangle, and this was not the case here. There were also tiny bits of cauliflower that gave the salad a nice texture and crunch.  I had the Stuffed Artichoke and my husband had Shrimp Gamberi on an Arugula salad. Both were substantial and beautifully seasoned. We had two glasses of an Argentine Tomero Malbec. It was a generous pour. For the main course, I had Polla al Limone (Lemon Chicken) over spinach. A simple dish done well. My husband had the Halibut special, a classic Mediterranean baked halibut with tomatoes, capers, and olives. So good that he finished it all...a rarity for him. (The halibut was pricey and it would be appreciated if the price was mentioned when the specials were gone over. Perhaps we should have asked.) We finished with a Sorbetto al Lampone, a tart raspberry sorbet in a dark chocolate shell and sliced.  And as we left, our sweet hostess brought over Lucianno, the most adorable puppy, to send us off with puppy kisses! We definitely will be back...especially for the wild boar ragu over pappadelles. One nitpicking observation. The entrance to the restaurant was a tad shabby. We mistook it for the service entrance. It needs to be spruced up to match the superb food inside!

The meatball appetizer ($19) was decent but tiny, and the pasta special ($29) was not too impressive and was too oily. I didn't even bother to glance at the dessert menu. Service was not in line with an upscale restaurant. The server never came over to take our orders, and she finally did only after we brought this up to the host who was quite apologetic. Then she was attentive for a little but then returned to her inattentiveness. Finally, the bathroom could've used some tidying up as well. Sorry Cucina, I really wanted to like you.

The Cajun sauce was similar to buffalo but packed a better kick. We also ordered the Bavarian soft pretzels and garlic knots. The garlic knots were so light and fluffy and the marinara sauce was well seasoned and extra garlicky in flavor which we both enjoyed. The Bavarian pretzels were so good on their own they didn't even need the beer cheese or mustard dipping sauce. We were stuffed and did not have room for any more food. Can't wait to come back and check out the rest of the menu. Pricing is extremely reasonable as well.
