Located in an area that's hardly the haunt of haute cuisine aficionados, this little (but pretty spacious) establishment proved to be quite a find. They were accommodating enough to make my stuffed omelette with egg whites. The omelette stuffed with mushroom, spinach, onions, zucchini, and cheese (I passed on the cheese) was really good. I loved their country fried potatoes with the crispy on the outside but soft inside chunks of potatoes with the well seasoned onions and red peppers enhancing the flavour really well. I also tried K's hash browns and it was really really good; she said it was probably the best hash browns she's had in a very long time --- the potato shreds were not mushy and you could tell someone did a very good job of patting them dry. They had enough starchiness to stick together but at the same time separated easily at the touch of a fork; the texture was perfect that even the potatoes inside the crust was on the verge of crunchiness but still just soft. Her croissant sandwich special with turkey had real slices of turkey and not the deli slices. Though she asked for the one with tomato and lettuce, the messed up the order and made the one *without* the latter two. Nonetheless she said it was really good with just the cheese and the avocado. Wanted to try a new place for breakfast. The reviews and pictures looked good so decided I would get the veggie Eggs Benedict and a asada burrito for later. I went into this place knowing it was a hole in the wall joint but I should of left as soon as I walked in and discovered how filthy it was.. it was disgusting . There were holes in the walls that had just been patched up all sloppy with blue masking tape, probably to keep the rats from coming through the walls.. I sucked it up and order, the woman was very confused when I said I wanted my eggs HARD not runny. She said she could do it, but once getting home I discovered she couldn't.. runny eggs , no bueno for me.The Hollandaise sauce was white and tasted like flour mixed in water. Hollandaise should be a yellow if it's made correctly with yolk , butter and lemon juice. . So I couldn't eat that dish and went for the burrito. I have no clue what the hell that things was.. who puts mashed potatoes in a burrito?? Once I tasted the asada I immediately spit it out , it was just wrong! On my day off I wanted to try something new. Went here to to try their breakfast burrito. It was perfect amount of potatoes, cheese, eggs and steak all scrambled together. Just found them on yelp and let me tell you they did not disappoint. When we walked in there was nobody there so we were kind of skeptical but once we sat down and ordered we were wondering why the place wasn't packed granted it was a Thursday morning they still had some call in orders come in. The service was amazing the lady who helped us out was wonderful since we were a younger couple we usually get horrible service because they expect us not to tip but she gave us amazing service and did not judge and greeted every customer the same when they walked in. The food was great and though it may be a little pricey it was worth it overall and the portions were very filling !! Definitely coming back and trying the other things on their menu ! When paying the card server had an error and wouldn't connect to the internet so she offered the meal on the house but due to her great hospitality we just walked next door and got cash out because she deserves it and we will be coming back again soon ! I come here to get the Grilled chicken sandwich. I guess it's not on the new menus but they still make them. I requested Serrano chill because I like some kick with my sandwich. Overall it's kinda plain but tastes really good. It's not huge or tiny. Just tomatoes, onion, lettuce, mayonnaise, and a thin slice of grilled chicken breast. This place provides delicious food (American and Mexican). I come here all the time with my family for breakfast and lunch. Excellent customer service, and quiet place to eat. I don't live nearby but a few weeks ago I stopped here for breakfast on my way back from a meeting... now I find myself going out of my way to come have a plate of their chilaquiles! They are unlike most versions but they are delicious: simply tortilla strips and a side of eggs, topped with a piquant tomato sauce that is both sweet and a little spicy, showered in shredded romaine, crema and crumbly cheese. Somehow the dish seems healthy and filling at the same time! The staff is super friendly, the restaurant is homely but comfortable, and I just enjoy having relaxing meal here before work. The aqua fresca of the day was pineapple, and it came in a huge cup. The plantains were not too greasy, a little carmalized, and accompanied by refried beans and sour cream. I went to Number Nine Cafe, but it was closed. So I went to this place for the first time and was pleased. I'd rate it 5 stars but wanted to save it for next time. I only give 5 stars when it's perfect. The not so perfect thing was the crispy bacons were neither hot nor crispy. Next time I may need to tell them to slightly burn them. The waffle was perfect. Please be aware of this place, I been here 2 times before and I thought the place was good and was happy I found this place with my friend. The only thing we noticed from the last 2 times we came is that we never received a receipt but didn't think anything of it until I would check my bank account and noticed I was overcharged. Since I was never given receipts I decided to leave it alone and just check next time. So today my friend and I decided to come here again and upon leaving once again I was not given a receipt but this time I paid attention to what we ate and how much we were charged and we were once again overcharged $10. I politely asked the owner who was working the register (she was also the person who overcharged us the first 2 times and we know she's the owner because she told us) to give us our receipt and she was visibly upset that we were asking for a receipt so we explained the situation and she just stayed quiet pretending to look for our receipt and couldn't find it even though we had just paid and she didn't know what happened to it. While waiting on her to look for the receipt she very rudely waved/shooed her hand for us to move away. She then asked us what we ate so she can figure out what our check should of been and sure enough she charged us $10 extra. She was rude and said she would give it to us in cash instead of card which we agreed too but never apologized for her mistake which I'm sure it happened the first 2 times too. I will not be returning and if anyone comes across my review make sure to always ask for receipt or to check the amount on your tab vs the amount she charges you. I don't know if she always does this or she only does it to us but I advise everyone to pay attention because that's unacceptable. read more

My husband was familiar with Angel's. Our friend and contractor was familiar with Angel's. Seemed I was the odd man (woman) out, so on the morning of Cinco de Mayo we all paid Angel's a visit. The owners/wait staff could not have been more pleasant and put up with our crazy ordering (no rice, beans, potatoes, toast, etc.. it's a carb thing) and even fielded a question about the oil used (vegetable, no bueno), and offered to cook an omelet in butter instead. Chilaquiles, a chorizo omelet and a breakfast burrito with bacon later, we were happy and stuffed. We left a better than decent tip for the wonderful service and the staff who couldn't seem to do enough to please us. THAT, is how you run a restaurant!
