We're new to the area and looking for the best taqueria in town. My boyfriend asked for an asada burrito no frijoles, no crema. The man at the counter commented that he might as well get a quesadilla... i guess that was the first sign. Very large burrito, good flavor, but its literally just rice and cheese. The flavor is there for just rice i guess we might try one more time, maybe it was an off day. EDIT: After reading the reviews it all makes sense now, they're racist! This place is filthy and the workers and owner are very rude. This place is full of flies roaming in the taqueria. The owner gives preference to frequent customers. There is a better taqueria in point Richmond called "Masa" it's much cleaner and better quality than Chavinda. Masa literally has the best burritos in Richmond for $10 that have that authentic flavor. Everything is hand made and you choose your toppings like at Chipotle. Largest portions I've had in Richmond, been trying everywhere I can. I like lettuce in my burritos, some don't. Tasted good, but I'm picky about meat, hope they get better asada. Will be back. Been eating here since high school, I use to leave campus at lunch to get a burrito and then the owner started delivering the burrito to my school cause she didn't want us to get in trouble for ditching school. The deliveries orders became so popular the school banned them from delivering, which meant we had to leave campus again lol. Few years later I was working at a school nearby so would go get tacos , also great. Now I live around the corner so whenever I'm not in the mood to cook or driving far I go get tacos or the nachos.
