I told her that I'm allergic to black henna multiple times, specifically PPD, but she insisted that her henna is 100% natural and that there's different kinds of hennas and hers is just a naturally darker one. I confirmed multiple times because I said that I thought henna was orange and my hair is black and I didn't want to henna orange into my hair. She reassured me that it was completely safe and natural, and that there was no way anything would happen because there are no chemicals. 24 hours later my eyebrows are super red, itchy, and have started to blister. All signs of a chemical burn. I messaged her asking for the ingredients that was used so I can take it to the doctor, but suddenly she's in an accident or her car is on fire and she wants to talk to me on the phone. I tell her to call an employee instead to send me a photo of the product. Now she doesn't respond. I went to the salon again today to try to see what the heck she put on my face but suddenly the product is in the garbage that was taken out yesterday, and they don't have any more of this product to show me. They are lying about their products and take no responsibility for causing this, especially when I had specifically disclosed this particular allergy. NEVER GO HERE. I will be filing an official complaint with the state and small claims court. This is totally unacceptable.

We asked her for designs from their google and Yelp photos. She said that's too complicated. She called someone, not sure what was said and then says she can only do something simple. We would've left but my niece was so excited about her first henna. We showed her a very simple design of flowers (please see the photos of my niece's hands, she could've done that herself and she's six). She then "gave us a discount" by only charging us $30 for both hands. I didn't want to make a scene because I didn't want to make my niece cry, so we paid it. Never again. Beware of this scam. Edited: While I appreciate your offer we are going to decline. And with all due respect, that design had nothing to do with a 6 year old moving. I suggest moving forward you indicate on your website that you are by appointment only, and perhaps let your coworkers know that as well so they can answer questions appropriately and not wait people's time. Be sure to include the days of the week too, since we came today which is actually a Monday and not Sunday. The shop is clean and tidy. It had been several years since I last got my eyebrows threaded, so I was expecting some pain. However, I was shocked at how smooth and painless Alicia's work was! Today I have found my people! After trying to find the front door for an address that is technically on Sixth Avenue, I called the shop and was told they would come downstairs to summon me in. Turns out the entrance practically shouts at you--but it's on 25th, just west of Sixth, on the north side. Look for their street sign and window displays, and walk right in! On a misty Tuesday at 11, I was offered a place to put my bag and coffee, and a kind woman patted the salon chair where I sat down. She removed whatever gunk I'd last put on my brows and bare face, gave the situation some consideration, and started threading. I did threading years ago, but never have I watched someone so quickly do the kind of shaping job this woman did for me in a matter of minutes. In a flash, my Andy Rooney wild growth was tamed and expertly-shaped, sans tint! I couldn't believe she could see my blond/red brows because they are completely *invisible* to me! I asked they be kept on the full side, and she agreed that would be good. She prepared a tint, and I leaned back for an uninterrupted 8 minutes. A wipe dry, then some touch up threading, et voila! I had brows I had never seen before! When I say they look like they were microbladed, I kid you not! The shape and color are killer, and I started to cry with happiness! I thought that after years of bad decisions and age I'd lost my brows--and SNS found them for me! The price is nice, and the salon airy, clean and bright--and you can hop over to Fairway and shop afterward, so what's not to like? I am now, officially, an SNS girl. I've pinged my girlfriends, who are all eager to try it, too. I have been to some of the most spendy corporate and privately-owned brow salons in Gotham, but SNS has bettered them all by far. As someone that has received a ton of laser hair removal before, I can guarantee you that I know what I am talking about. It was a last minute appointment for me and I don't have a lot in my southern area due to all the previous sessions I had at other places. This is just a touch up after 10 years. So I didn't shave because it was last minute and didn't have time (pretty normal at most places to touch you up if you didn't), as you know we have to shave. So I asked my laser tech, she said you don't need to because this way she knows where it is. Big mistake trusting her that maybe she knew a new hack (?). It's been 2 weeks and nothing has happened except that she probably burned me (read online why you need to shave). I have never ever had hyper pigmentation but I was covered in red dots that are now gray. I'm pretty fair skin but I am a POC and it's crazy because I've always done the higher settings for any laser, whether it is IPL or hair removal. I don't know what the tech did. All the areas that I have hyperpigermentation or the pink/red burns are on areas I didn't have any hair. Then we hit the areas that do, she never shaved so it hurt extra bad and of course it doesn't hit the follicles, burnt, and I still have hair..... And I will say as someone that is from the 2nd densest big city after NYC, this was 5x what it cost back home. This is crazy, not only is it more expensive, it was done incorrectly, somehow I manage to get burned and none of the hair follicles were killed. It's upsetting that this store is operating and I TIPPED THEM. Never in my life had I ever have to tip anyone for laser and they ask for it here. SKIP AT ALL COST. TLDR: I'm a laser vet, said I didn't need to shave (quick google says they are wrong), something nothing worked/ineffective, I got burned, I have hyperpigmentation which has never happened, 5x other places in price, and they ask for tip (mildly unorthodox.. Horrific Scar I was…read moreconvinced to wax my chin although there were only a few hairs. I had never done it so when it hurt awfully bad I thought it was just virgin skin. When I got home I realized they full took my skin off. I have horrible scar on my face. They didn't even pick up the phone the next day. I've never seen a result like this from a professional waxer.
