First things first, Jyoti is a brow GODDESS- BEFORE I CAME HERE I LEGIT HAD HALF EYEBROWS. I'm not joking either, check out the pic- they were bad. I always thought it was due to my genetics (plucking them myself didn't help, either...) and kind of just accepted that they would always be thin and need to be penciled in. That is, UNTIL I WENT TO LOOKS! I started coming here back in 2018, and since then Jyoti has absolutely transformed my brows. I now have full, shapely brows and get complimented on them all the time. I truly never thought this was possible for me, but she assured me that with time and patience she would be able to fix them. Literally not even a month later they gradually started filling in, and by 2019 I had full brows again!! I have been going to her ever since for regular threading and a subtle tint and am never disappointed. I can here after seeing the high reviews, but I am extremely disappointed. There were cuts all over my eyebrow and upper lips afterwards. I even felt the tear at the salon and pointed it out, but she just said it's because I am dry?. And if you look closely, she didn't even do a good job with cleaning the eyebrows up. I have to go back and clean them up. For both upper lip and eyebrows, it's not worth $20 nor the the damages to your skin. Don't go here unless you're desperate! read more

Ilove looks threading salon. I have been getting my eyebrows threaded for years. Lol I'm getting older now so I get them tinted and threaded. Yes no grey,now. While my eyebrow are getting done I receive a great hand massage along with a hot towel wrap. I get a head massage also.The staff Joyti Prava and oh no can't remember her name. Today I did a walk-in to get my eyebrows and upper lip threaded and was serviced right away! My eyebrows were super overgrown and Sita did an amazing job cleaning them up! I also have been breaking out and have cystic acne and Sita took great care to not irritate the spots while threading me :) Honestly, the least painful threading I've had yet! read more

Why can't I give a 1/2 star? Short and simple: It is Friday, September 19th. My 25th High School Reunion is the next day, so let me go get my brows threaded. That happened. Then came the upsell (lip? eyebrow tint?). I'm feeling sassy so I agree to everything. "But that's henna, right?" I ask. "Yes" says the technician. "It is straight henna, though, right?" "Yes!" she says again. She applies it. I look a bit like a costumed extra in a TV movie about circus side shows when I leave the place from the tint, but ok. Within hours, my eyebrows start to swell. They start to itch like crazy. Swelling continues the next day. By Sunday afternoon, I look like I've been in a fight. By Monday, my eyes are puffed almost shut and the swelling is so intense I'm getting headaches. Tuesday, I'm at urgent care. A doctor walks in, takes one look at me and basically shudders. Chemical burn, she says. She prescribes steroids. I've been popping Benedryls for five days straight. Missed two days of work and travel that was supposed to start tomorrow for the job. Not henna. Straight up hair dye. Hoping my eyebrows aren't permanently damaged. Am horrified, this situation has physically hurt, and clearly, its not fun being in public looking like I fought with Mike Tyson. I have written a review before, which I have deleted after speaking with the owner and she fixed my eyebrows after they were made completely uneven by one of her staff members. I am the Mindy Y. that Marianna S. was referring to and my review was accurate, complete with photos that showcased how uneven my eyebrows were, to which she couldn't defend the end results... I have been going to this salon for over 10 years and usually either Sangita or Jyoti does my eyebrows. Sangita left, and Jyoti wasn't there when I stopped by one time so I tried someone else in their shop and had very uneven eyebrows. One week later after it grew back in a bit, Jyoti fixed it and charged me the full price which I was happy to pay. I was told I have very tricky eyebrows and to call or text to ensure Jyoti is there since she is the only one that can do them. Unfortunately Jyoti is the owner and she may or may not be there. I just stopped by today (Saturday) and was told that Jyoti won't be back until Monday. As a working person, I can't always stop by on the weekdays and asked the person to clean my eyebrows up, do whatever she can WITHOUT making them look uneven. I explicitly said don't take too much off, so even if they did a bad job - it can be fixed later. She thought she could reshape my eyebrows to make them look even but made them extremely uneven. She did not even do a proper clean up so my eyebrows looked thick but no shape or definition. Plus she made the top of one my arches rounder than the other. Anyone that gets eyebrows done know that once you take the top of the arch off and round it out, to grow that back is a P.I.T.A. I took one look, paid, texted Jyoti that I am never coming back with a photo of my eyebrows and ran over to a different salon to get them fixed. Funny enough, at the other salon they managed to salvage them and said my eyebrows are not complicated at all. In fact I have nice thick brows that grows the same direction so they can easily shape them to however I like. I will be leaving a separate review for the other salon and can't thank them enough to make me look human enough for my date tonight. Jyoti is great with eyebrows, if you can get her great. If not, be careful. I won't be trusting them with mine anymore. read more

I had a good eyebrow wax recently, but I'm skeptical about the effect of waxing and if it induces wrinkles later on. My curious roommate accompanied me here after brunch and a mani. Like others have mentioned, they upsell - they tried to tell me I needed to do my lip and that they do great bikini waxes, and that my roommate needed work done as well. Whatever. I didn't get Jyoti. I got someone with an S name. I was a bit timid and hesitant as I was a threading virgin and was afraid I would leave with ugly, thin brows. Rest assured, that did not happen. She must be used to taking charge. She trimmed a little, then had me use two fingers to pull my eyebrow skin taut to thread. The results were pretty nice and I can't report on the lotion making me break out yet. She told me to return in 2 weeks - maybe. It's $10/visit. read more
