We stumbled across this place by accident and are sure glad we did. We weren't sure about eating there because we only saw one table inside and didn't know the bar next door serves their pizza so the second time we went we went straight to the bar next door and ate in there. The pizza is one of the best we have ever had. Great staff that went way out of their way to take care of us. They do tons of carry out business and if you want to sit down to eat just head next door and they will take great care of you!

Sausage, Pepperoni, Onion, Mushroom Pizza from Anges

Anges Gahanna Location I always order the Sausage, pepperoni, mushroom onion pizza. Pickup only because I live around the corner. Their pizza is consistently good and they are generous with toppings. I always pay cash so I have not experienced any issues mentioned in previous reviews about charges to cc. No issues with promised ready time. Highly recommend.

Had a pepperoni, mushroom, and banana pepper pizza delivered on Sat 9/21, came in about 25 minutes. The one thing that sticks out is that the pizza is not greasy which is a great thing, there are many pizza places in the area where the bottom of the box is soaked in grease but not Ange's. Will order again.

Ange's pizza is some of the best pizza I have had in Columbus. I think the secret to its goodness is in its simplicity. Ange's Pizza is what immediately comes into everyone's mind when they imagine pizza. Chewy crust, not to thick or too thin, just enough to allow you to have that extra slice before realizing you are too full. The sauce is homemade and tastes like it has been whipped up especially for your pie. The toppings are always plentiful and tinged just slightly with the grease of the pizza. Delicious. Ange's has a full menu, but you would never know it . My advice is to not even look at it so you can save crucial stomach space for the pizza, you will need it. The people who produce the pies are very nice and service very fast and friendly. For a traditional pizza that is just a pizza with no frills you can never go wrong with Ange's.

The tomatoes on the burger were diced, not sliced. I've never had them that way, but it worked. The french fries were really just about perfect. They were as fresh as could be and had a subtle seasoning similar to Grippos chips, but more subdued. Lots of menu choices including vegetarian options. The place wasn't crowded--just two staff members were present--but it did take a little while to be acknowledged. There was someone ahead of me who I thought was in line, but he was actually waiting on a DoorDash order. It seemed like the staff were preoccupied with that, which delayed them noticing new customers walking in. According to my husband, the menu changes frequently. I browsed a bit and decided to go with a classic chicken cheesesteak--just mayo and banana peppers. I got it as a combo with a drink and onion rings. They only offered soda or water for drinks, and I do wish there was an alternative like juice or tea. I'll admit, I wasn't expecting much since we're not in Philly--but let me tell you, that first bite changed everything! The chicken was perfectly seasoned, the cheese was just right, and the bread was the perfect texture--not too soft, not too hard. It was seriously delicious. The onion rings weren't your typical rings with raw onions inside--instead, they seemed more like a crispy, flavored version with a mild onion taste, which I actually preferred since I'm not a big fan of onions. We also ordered a cheeseburger meal for my kids (not listed on the menu but available), and my husband got the loaded Philly steak fries, which he really enjoyed. All in all, the food exceeded my expectations. I'd definitely come back, especially for that chicken cheesesteak!

The layout features a dedicated bar section and a separate dining area, plus they offer outdoor seating for warmer weather. Since it was quiet when we arrived, we were told we could sit anywhere. We chose a booth, though I did notice the seats were a little dirty and the side of the table was sticky. However, our server was very sweet and friendly. Our food arrived within 10 minutes of ordering, and the portion sizes were very generous. We were a party of 3 and ended up ordering the Cheeseburger, which came with fries and coleslaw (I definitely recommend this), Cajun Melt, which comes with fries but I substituted it with sweet potato fries (note: there is an extra cost for substitutions). Also, we ordered the Cheese Steak, which also came with fries and coleslaw. Everything tasted great. I really can't complain about the food. If you are in the downtown Gahanna area and looking for a casual spot with good food, definitely check this place out.

I got the chicken Philly and would not get it again because it is grilled chicken slices on a sub. I felt like I was eating very dry sliced chicken for the most part. My husband got the bacon cheese burger and thought it was juicy and flavorful. My daughter got the Italian flatbread and it was a super thin piece of pita. She did not particularly enjoy it. My other daughter got the kids grilled cheese and gave 2 thumbs up! Ticket time is excellent as we were here for maybe 10 minutes and everyone had their food even with a super crowded restaurant! As for the drinks, the beer was cold and the mixed drinks were strong.

My husband got the Korean BBQ Scotch Egg (so different but very tasty), BBQ glazed meatloaf with garlic mashed potatoes, lemon chilli green beans (he normally doesn't like his vegetables, but he said these were so fresh and tasty), and Espresso Martini Pot De Crème. I had the Italian Wedding Soup (very good but did not have the meatballs), Pasta Bolognese (pasta was cooked perfectly and drained properly, so it did not water down the sauce!), and Apple Pie Mousse. I also got one of their mocktails called Brambleberry Tea. I could have easily drunk a couple of those! I forgot mention that they pour some nicely chilled water from a bottle that they leave on the table when you sit down. That is a nice touch for us since that is our choice of beverage when we eat. We were treated so warmly by everyone from the time we walked in until we left. Our server, Tyler, asked if we had been before (and this was our first time), so he welcomed us and asked if we had any questions. He was attentive during our time and even asked my husband if he needed any more sauce for his meatloaf. Marvin, the manager, stopped by to see how our first experience went and wanted to invite us back by gifting us coupons for an appetizer on our next visit. Thank you! The atmosphere was rustic and casual. I loved the picture frames hanging (used like walls) and lots of exposed bricks. The bathrooms were clean, well-stocked, and warm. We are looking forward to coming back to try the regular menu!

This was our first time here and there was a line we came in and said we needed a table for two. They asked us if we had a reservation. I said no she said it's best that you make a reservation so that was like a bummer. she told me that they had two table tops or we could sit at the bar because there was no tables available so we sat at one of the table tops. It was very loud and overstimulating, but the employees were very nice and pleasant and well dressed. Our waiter explained the menu to us and we ordered chicken wings and flatbread. The flatbread was hard for Me, and all of the toppings were like in the middle of the pizza, but for Ace he loved it. I asked for my wings to be extra crispy. They was not extra crispy and they had a sauce on there. That was very nasty. I didn't eat the wings. The table beside us was very disrespectful because the young man was a little drunk and the young ladies that he were sitting with kept yelling at him and telling him to calm down and told him he was doing too much so it kinda was like overbearing for us we just wanted to leave because he was talking very loud. He was talking very aggressive. He was just obnoxious and I could tell the waiter was getting annoyed as well. We paid for our food and left. Is this a place that we will come back to probably not but I'm glad that we got to experience.

Wanting wings, I ordered the Garlic Parmesan and tots. They offer grilled or fried and I thought I ordered fried but these tasted more like grilled. I was wanting that fried crunch but got more of a well cooked bite with a creamy garlic white sauce, then sprinkled with Parmesan. It was still good but when you're expecting crunch, it's slightly disappointing. Still a good wing but I wouldn't put it in the top 5. The tots, now they made up for the crunch. The Blue Cheese was exactly what I like, sweeter with a little funk. Maybe I should've specified fried. Wings are an indulgence to me. I don't want the healthy version. I want that crunchy-Lipitor sponsored-defibrillator on stand by-I can see my blood flowing-We'll start the diet Monday goodness that only a perfectly fried wing can offer. Still good tho.

No exaggeration, this was one of the best chicken Parmesans I've ever had, and that includes versions from legit Italian restaurants. The chicken cutlet was super crispy and perfectly seasoned, with a coating that was flavorful and satisfying without being too heavy. The portion size was just right, not too big, not too small. I appreciated that the mozzarella on top was fresh and sliced, not the usual shredded kind. The sauces (yes, plural!) were rich and full of flavor, tying everything together beautifully. The only thing I think it was missing? Some garlic bread of some sort to go with it. That would've made it perfect. But honestly, it was still a fantastic dish on its own. Highly recommend giving it a try if you're anywhere near East Market. I'm already looking forward to going back and seeing what else is good on their menu.

We had an excellent meal there. Atmosphere is really cute. What kind of cabinet like a lodge -exposed walls. It's very woodsy feeling. We came here as a party at five to send off our friend to Maryland We started with pretzel bites. The forst batch came out really brown. They looked over cooked. They didnt taste great. We had a new batch put in. That came out just as disappointed. Would not recommend these to anyone. Save your calories. We also learned we came on all you can eat rib night... Which we didn't know was a thing. I'm letting you all know it's a thing and it's a good thing!!! For $25 (which is less than the normal rib meal) You can eat all the ribs you want and get two sides! That's quite a bargain- come hungry. The ribs honestly fall off the bone they're so tender and they're not slathered and sauce. They do have some sauce on them, but the sauce is perfectly seasoned and it doesn't feel like you need any additional sauce also is an excessively sugary which I really like I was quite surprised as I'm not a big huge rib person. I would get the ribs again. Id pay full price for these ribs too. They were legit good. You get two sides with this meal. I chose a salad and a baked potato Well, I chose poorly- both the salad and the potato were actually good. However, the salad was huge and I was full after eating it. I shouldn't of ordered the potato. Its bery basic. I should've ordered the green beans. The green beans are crazy good!they give you a lot. they're also super fresh, delicious and seasoned... I know this because my husband got them and he focused on ribs -so he didn't eat his green beans, which meant I got to eat them later when we got home. Nom nom nom nom. They have a shrimp pasta carbonara which my friend ordered and holy smokes is that huge and delicious looking. She says that and the chicken parm are amazing and her go to when she doesnt get ribs. I will definitely be back Hickory House. Thanks for a great meal and a great evening.
