The very kind cashier put me on hold to ask Andrea if she could take a walk-in around 3:00 PM. I was told Andrea was available as long as we arrived within the next 20 minutes. When my son and I arrived, the cashier greeted us and said Andrea was finishing up with another client and would be right with us. We sat down in the salon. Andrea clearly saw us come in, yet she did not greet or acknowledge us in any way. Andrea then proceeded to check out the father and son who were before us. During checkout, she asked the father, "Are you from Pakistan?" He replied, "No, from India." Andrea then responded, "People from Pakistan tip $3. We live off our tips." The father said nothing and left. I was shocked by the prejudiced and inappropriate comment. After he left, Andrea continued to ignore me and my son and sat down as if we were not there. I then spoke up and said, "We called ahead to make sure you could fit us in. Are you available?" Andrea responded rudely, "Who said I would take you?" I explained that the cashier had called her and confirmed availability. Andrea then glared at the cashier and replied in a hostile tone, "I don't know why she would tell you that." I told her that if she was unable to take us, that was completely fine. She paused for several seconds and repeated, with the same attitude, that she didn't know why the cashier would say that. At that point, I told her, "I would rather you not cut my baby's hair if you're having a bad day." She responded, "I'm actually in a good mood." Given her behavior, I gathered my things and left. As I was leaving, the cashier asked what happened. I explained that I would not tolerate Andrea's attitude or behavior. This was our fifth visit to Kiddie Salon and, unfortunately, our last. Our usual stylist, Amanda, had quit, and Andrea was the only option available that day. Based on this experience, I can honestly say we will not be returning.

I have never been more furious walking out of a salon…read more We brought in a very clear inspiration photo. Not "vague vibes." Not "do whatever." A specific cut. The stylist had his hair at brow length. I asked her to trim the front slightly and she even confirmed, "Like half an inch?" I said yes, maybe even less. Just enough to give it room to grow. Instead, she hacked inches off the top, completely ignored his cowlick (which any competent stylist would work with), and destroyed the shape of the cut. The front is butchered. The sides are uneven. The blend is nonexistent. It looks nothing like the photo. We walked out and immediately went elsewhere to see if someone can salvage it without shaving his head. What makes this even worse? Two other stylists stood nearby, one literally on his phone, and not one person stepped in to help or correct. The lack of professionalism was insane. This wasn't a "miscommunication." This was not listening. This was careless. This was amateur. Absolutely the worst haircut experience we've ever had.

We arrived expecting to be seen at our scheduled time, but instead we were left waiting with no clear communication and, ultimately, no indication that they had any intention of taking us. After waiting long enough, I made the decision to leave. I completely understand that salons can run behind and unexpected things happen, but there is a big difference between running late and simply not honoring an appointment. If a client takes the time to schedule an appointment and arrive as expected, their time should be respected as well. After being a good and loyal client for years, this was especially disappointing. I expected much better treatment and communication from a business we have supported for so many years.

Not only are the people who work here so nice and kind and patient with children, they're also very committed to getting the best possible haircut possible even on a squirmy three year old! I love that they were trying all sorts of tricks to get her to sit still, look the right direction, etc. and the car options are so cute!! A red racecar, a police car, and a pink Barbie car are available. There's a TV with DVDs or Netflix available to distract them, and the people who work here are so good with them. I honestly didn't know what to expect but we got great certificates for her first haircut, a lock of her hair in a little bag, and a before and after photo. Of course, we were also taking photos the whole time, but they didn't mind at all. After the haircut (they did a great job) my daughter got her nails painted, glitter hearts on her cheek, a balloon, AND they put her hair back in clips. All for under $30? I'm blown away. I highly recommend these guys to absolutely everyone and I know where my daughter will be going for years to come, because they also have video game stations for older kids!! Fantastic customer service, skill, patience, and affordable! What more could you want for kids??!!

You would have thought he was in a torture chair if you didn't know he was just getting his hair cut. She did a fantastic job and even managed to cut his hair evenly while he was going crazy!
