The nail techs are welcoming expect the tech who worked on my nails today (picture below). I've been to this salon twice for a powder dip manicure, the first time my ring finger nail snapped off. I still went back because of the friendly customer service I received the first time. The second time the nail tech was rude when I described my desired nail shape saying, " I know I know." She didn't offer me a beverage, sighed and rolled her eyes a few times when I scratched my face and didn't ask if I wanted a nail extension on my broken nail. She spent two hours on my nails, and when I was finished and went to the car, I looked down on my fingers and saw a tiny bubbles that look like oil stains on each of my nails I went back to the shop and told them my nails were damaged. Then they told me that the nails weren't dried completely. I asked for a refund and the manager told me that she doesn't give refunds. Honestly there are too many nail salons around here to just settle for this so I won't be going back. Also, the nail tech was asking the manager the process to use the chrome. My nails look so bad.

Nails always look beautiful and last. The place is clean and attentive to cleanliness. I give gift certificates from here to my friends when I want to show appreciation. Definitely recommend!!!

She never disappoint me on getting my nails done. She is so creative and talent in many ways. I would never change this place for another.

I am a forever customer of Tiffany and highly recommend a Lavender Pedi with her- worth every penny! They use great products and her massage is a 10 out of 10 (and better than some 5 star spas I've been to). She worked with me before my wedding to grow my nails out long and strong and is dedicated to great experiences. (See my bridal nails below) Even before Covid it was always very clean, now they have plastic dividers around every station and require customers to wash their hands upon entry and wear masks the entire time.

4.5 stars. Easy to book appointments online. Shop is small but cute. My parents and I got pedicures. They have a menu to pick from and the prices are affordable. My dad got the runners pedicure which is good for men. He had a lot of dead skin removed. My mom and I got the mango scrub pedicure. The massage chairs were comfortable. Water was comfortable and it was the full hour treatment. They were busy so my mom got started 30 minutes later than my dad and I which was less ideal. The other thing I didn't like was the foot/leg massage. It was hardly a massage - no pressure applied at all. They did set a 10 minute timer to give us the full time. Regardless, the ladies were really nice and did a good job painting. Would come back! read more

I don't regularly get my nails done but I have been getting my nails done for almost 25 years. Sis came here and said she had a good experience, so I made an appointment, but the lady she had wasn't in, so I just asked for a comparable person. Things I Did Not Enjoy: - She started a 5 min timer (for my pedicure massage) and made sure to tell me she was starting a timer, but then proceeded to do something else for a solid 30 seconds. I wouldn't have been counting the minutes, but if you're going to put a timer on, then please don't try to skim the customer. - She didn't file any of my toes of fingers, so although I asked for square, some of my nails were square and some rounded. - She was a tad condescending and kept telling me how I had no toe nails for a thick French style- If there was no nail, why did you charge me $50? - I was undecided between a gel manicure or dip powder but I told her I'm rough with my hands and she said gel would last 2-3 weeks for me. The photo I'm attaching is literally 24 hours later. - She tried to upsell me with a pedicure and tell me a gel pedicure was "only $16" more and I kept telling her no thank you. I really wanted to love this place but I'm pretty upset I shelled out $130 for a gel manicure and regular pedicure and I could've done a better job. read more

Staff were very personable and almost every other customer coming in is a regular. I had "Bella" do my nails. She was gentle, thorough, and detail-oriented. Prices were reasonable and not crazy off the chart like most places nowadays. I will definitely be returning soon ;-) read more

First i was given the SNS dip colors and once I chose one was told it was gel. Then, I asked for a French manicure with gold tip. After one and a half hours I was given a full golf manicure which was completely not what I asked for, not to mention took forever. read more

I found out that this place run by Khmer owner from my husband homeland. I got my Exotic Orange Tropical Spa Pedicure and dipping powder manicure. The fresh orange that she scrubbed on my legs and feet kept my skin smooth and felt so wonderful. I wish if I can have this scrubbing on my whole body! My nails looked natural as gel but it's last up to 3 weeks by tomorrow. The price is reasonable and all their tools are sterilization and place clean. Now I found my nails place and my husband won't complain anymore of my spending to get them pretty!! read more

Laura is AMAZING! I went to her previous salon in Silver Spring...and followed her to her new salon, Angkor. I get the nail dip...my nails look thin and natural...and last 3-4 weeks. Its been 3 years...and now all of my friends go to Laura also. If she is booked, you really cant go wrong with the other manicurist. I'm a very picky person as far as my nails. Every time my daughter treats me to get my mani-pedi, I end it up have to remove my manicure and redo them myself until I came here at Angkor Nails & Spa and I was in love. I had my dip powder done and now I'm back for my second appointment. They are the best in town. I drive from Springfield, Virginia for my dip powder. I should have walked out when the technician lazily pushed back my cuticles. She didn't ask if I wanted my nails cut or what shape I wanted. Each nail is a different length and shape. It was over in less than 20 minutes. I won't be back read more

There are Fiji water bottles in the lobby but no sign by them. I wasn't sure if they were included in the cost of the appointment or cost extra so I didn't take one. Maybe if I was bolder, I wouldve inquired. They sell a number of sugar scrubs and other products that you can use after your sugaring/waxing appointment at home. At 2:30pm, a technician came out with another customer who'd just finished and greeted me after closing out her appointment. I was definitely nervous but my technician put me at ease with light conversation and music (they let you choose what music you want when you schedule your appointment). I had initially made my appointment for sugaring but I was told that my hairs were too short and that wax would work better. I was a bit disappointed because I'd read about sugaring, but happy that my technician was able to provide good advice. It didn't hurt nearly as much as I expected it to. I was in and out in about 45 minutes with silky smooth legs.

Her new location isn't in the best spot because it is hard to find parking - I kept seeing signs for "reserved" or "permit only". I ended up parking two blocks away and then walking over. Unfortunately, i missed my appointment timeslot completely because she had a client right after me, but she was so nice about situation and fit me in as soon as she found free time to. Nita is very friendly, kind, and personable. She is so sweet. She did such an amazing and efficient job. She was informative, quick, and does her best to make you feel comfortable. The waiting room is clean and cozy and there are snacks left out. I have gotten waxed at other great places before and Nita is by far my favorite thus far. After the sugaring, she asked if she could do touch ups and pluck leftover hairs with tweezers; I truly appreciate her attention to detail and how thoughtful she was. I have been seeing Laura, the owner of Angkor Nails & Spa for about 5 years - since she was in downtown Silver Spring. I followed her when she left because no one could do my nails the way she does. She is very precise and a perfectionist. She gets to know you so that she is able to suggest just the right color for whatever occasion you are attending; or, just what color fits the season. I leave the color selection to her and I'm never disappointed. She has gotten me to try colors I wouldn't ordinarily try and her salon has a wide variety of colors. I love her new salon. All the ladies are friendly and professional and unlike downtown Silver Spring parking is free. I often get a space right in front - makes those snowy days no problem when you get a pedicure. Please make sure to try the orange spa pedicure - Laura uses fresh oranges as the scrub. It's heavenly. Last, but certainly not least, try a facial and massage with Sharon. She's wonderful! Laura is a color goddess. I get dip powder nails and they consistently last 2-3 weeks with no chipping. My nails look magnificent all the time, she has a great eye for color and is very flexible.
