I picked the $100 massage pedicureand it seemed they didn't wanna do it at first, it felt kinda weird in the beginning & the massage it self was decent. it was kinda uncomfortable and I just wanted to relax. I look forward to my pedicure massages the most. one of my toes is uneven and she should have cut it down to make it look even. I just didn't really notice till I got home. I was tired, she did a good job on my hands, but she didn't even ask if I wanted Acrylic or if I wanted gel x and all my other hands We're acrylic.. In the end they look nice but I just think it was a lil rude here. I don't know if I'd come back only because of the massage but I will say my hands and feet still look nice so thank you! read more

I had a disappointing experience at Yuna Nails today, despite having been a repeat customer. I decided to take a break from gel and scheduled builder-gel removal with a full buffing manicure, along with gel removal and a regular polish change for my toes. I was on time for my scheduled appointment. Sue performed my nail services, and by the time she finished my manicure, the regular polish on my toes was still not completely dry. The woman at the front desk, who answers the phone and processes payments, told me that my toes were still not dry but that I needed to leave wearing the salon's disposable foam slippers. She then told me that, next time, I should bring my own flip-flops. I explained that I normally receive gel services at Yuna Nails, so I had no reason to anticipate needing flip-flops. She responded, "Oh," and then immediately asked how I wanted to pay. As I was leaving, I asked how much longer the polish would need to dry. Only then did she offer to apply a drying spray. I was not comfortable walking to my car in disposable foam slippers, so I waited outside on the bench for at least 20 minutes. During that entire time, the staff remained inside the salon and did not leave. That made being rushed out while my polish was still wet feel especially unnecessary and dismissive. I was also quoted $45 when I made the appointment but was charged $65, with no explanation for the additional $20. I have regularly patronized Yuna Nails, which makes this experience especially disappointing. I would appreciate clarification regarding the charge and greater consideration for customers whose polish is not yet dry before they are asked to leave. read more

Yuna Nail never disappoints! I have never been to the Rockville location and have always been hesitant when it comes to getting my nails done but boy did they deliver!!! Cici did my nails and I am so happy with how they turned out. I will definitely be returning! Also, their nail color section NEVER disappoints- so many to choose from! read more

This nail salon only does gel manicures and pedicures. You would only know if you visit their website to book an appointment. I had my first appointment with Cici, she didn't seem like she wanted to work on my nails. I was only allowed two minutes to pick out a nail color. She sped through the appointment and yanked my hands, she was pushy and at the end she asked for a tip and if I wanted to provide her tip via cash or Zelle. I find that very unprofessional. She was bragging about how quickly she finished my manicure to the other nail techs. Apparently, you need to book every service you want for your appointment and not change your mind. I wouldn't recommend anyone going here, to ask if you were on a tip in the middle of the floor and make the client feel like an inconvenience is ridiculous, it takes away from the experience. There are plenty of other salons that appreciate their customers. I also think they secretly record their clients hands for their social media post and that happened to me today. read more

There's a nail salon right across called "Nails by Sean" that's probably better and cares about their customers. I booked an appointment with Sue and when I arrived Cynthia (front desk employee) said I would get Claudia. There was no communication prior to my arrival which is frustrating and unacceptable. I will not be back and Cynthia (the front desk lady) is absolutely rude, pushy, and unhelpful. Reviews also indicate that this business has used discriminatory practices. Yikes! I haven't patronized this salon in eight months. The last two times I got my nails done, they used the more expensive gel product, gel-x, that I did not want. The first time I went for it, I noticed my nails became very weak and damaged. So, when I went back, I told them that's not what I wanted. Well, they proceeded to use it. Took months for my nails to heal properly. Decided I do not have the energy to argue and dole out money for a service I did not want. Some technicians are nice and some, you can tell by their expressions, do not care about the customer. read more

They are everything but nail specialists. I came on Saturday September 28, at 4:00 pm for Gel pedicure and dipping powder manicure. 1- Arriving home around 7:00 pm my gel pedicure came of and peeled. My other toe nail was awfully uneven and ugly as well. 2- For dipping powder, those cheep and stingy people did not have a single color but clear! Have had two great nail experiences. After going to another Rockville Salon for 15+ years it was time for a change and it worked.

The first visit was nice. Everything after showed they true colors begs for tip I mean begsssss you won't get a chance to leave tip. The begging just makes you don't wanna tip and it's the front desk! I brought my mother she's older and they even pressured her for a tip she hated the experience. My gel extensions popped off 3 times and Claudia said she didn't do my nails when I went for a new set when in fact she did the place all screwed skip them and head to Nails by Sean right across the street I wish I would've found them first!!! read more

I've been to Yuna Nail on five separate occasions. Out of all of my visits, I have been truly happy TWICE and I have been extremely disappointed TWICE. I've had one neutral appointment. Why did I keep coming back? They have a lot of trendy design options! However, I am afraid they are likely involved in some discriminatory practices. Let me start by saying that I am an extremely polite/people-pleaser type. I am kind to a fault. Never rude, argumentative, or loud. Very friendly. I initially thought something was off after I left a review (which was mostly positive, but I was honest about my experience). Shortly after, I was blocked from booking appointments through Vagaro. I assumed it was a glitch with their site, but now it is clear it was done on purpose for simply stating I was disappointed. Fast forward to February, I had an appointment with May Wen that went well. I tipped 10% (not including designs, I had already paid a $10 dollar up charge to have a heart drawn on 2 fingers). After checking out, Cynthia (the manager), asked me to tip more. I was a little shocked, as tips are "never expected, but always appreciated," which clearly isn't the case anymore. Cynthia proceeded to tell me that customers are expected to tip 15%-20%, so I obliged, and sent additional money through Venmo, although I thought it was slightly rude. I would understand if I hadn't tipped at all. I did let her know that it would be more beneficial to increase the price of their services, apply a mandatory service charge, or display a visible sign stating that tips are mandatory. She stated that she agreed, but it's her boss, and she would share my comments with her boss. At my next appointment, I also tipped the nail tech, Cici, 15% using Venmo. Speaking of Venmo, it is NOT my preferred payment method and I rarely use it, so it's not always easily accessible. I got out of my way to at least tip with Venmo, because they really pressure you to use Venmo or pay in cash - to the point it is kind of uncomfortable. Everyone knows pushing cash payments is essentially a way for employers to avoid paying employees, and for employees to evade paying taxes. Fast forward to April 3rd when I called to schedule an appointment. Cynthia scheduled me for 1:30pm. After I had gotten in my car and started driving, she calls me back to say I cannot come at 1:30pm, because they keep notes on all customers, and it will take too long to do my nails because I'm difficult. This surprised me, as I am as I described myself to be above....I've never been described as difficult in my life. I told Cynthia that it was strange she wouldn't let me book an appointment for "being difficult," when I have only ever complained once in a review that it appeared May Wen selected the wrong color. Then Cynthia tells me that I make a lot of demands, so it takes longer. Demands?! The only things I ever comment on/ask to be fixed are: uneven nails, lint/hair in polish, and the color (when it has been painted on ONE nail/uncured). These are pretty basic expectations that I shouldn't even have to ask for. It shouldn't make a customer a diva for asking for a good job. I decided not to reschedule that day, because I felt extremely uncomfortable. Well, today took the cake. I called to reschedule for Monday. Cynthia picks up the phone and tells me that they are fully booked on Monday. I was staring at their availability on the app, and they weren't booked at all. So then Cynthia says, "Well, to be honest, my manager told me to ban you." I was shocked!! I politely inquired about why I was BANNED. Cynthia proceeds to tell me that I don't tip enough! Remember....I increased my tips to 15% like she already [rudely] asked. This time she says, "Well, most customers tip above 20%, and we have actually banned other customers who don't tip as much. Our nail techs would rather sit and do nothing than service someone who isn't tipping more than 20%. Excuse me...since when did tipping more than 20% become a mandatory for service when tipping is VOLUNTARY. They are essentially enforcing a service charge without listing it as a service charge. You know why? You have to pay taxes on service charges.... Honestly, it feels like they are using this as an excuse to discriminate against certain people. The manger, Cynthia, said her boss will call me back to address my concerns. We will see... What I will add, notice how they only post fair-skinned hands on their IG page as well. Seems like they are trying to market themselves to a specific audience only. Go somewhere that values you as a person, is interested in building a relationship with their clients, and doesn't see you as a $$$ sign ONLY. It baffles me that they are more upset with tipping clients for not tipping enough, rather than being upset with their employer for not paying them fair wages.... read more
