My family came in as a party of 7 and a dog and got a table with a beautiful view next to Henry's Fork. The service was slow but the restaurant was busy even for 8 pm on a Sunday evening. Our server was very knowledgeable, even about where the trout came from! We all finished our plates (except for the doggy bag wagyu burger for the dog) and had a great dinner.

My husband and I ate here tonight for our Anniversary!! It was Romantic to have a view of the South Fork of the Henry. We had the Ribeye Steak over mashed potatoes. Very flavorful and tender, cooked to perfection how we like it. We did start with the bacon wrapped elk sliders for an appetizer with a really good sauce. It made for an enjoyable night. Maddy was our server and was very attentive and helpful in our choices. A great personality and wanted us to enjoy our anniversary. Gave us a brownie with ice cream to share for dessert. Thanks for your wonderful service and the cooks for the great food!

Service was kind and efficient- food was a bit underwhelming. But, ordering fish tacos in a land locked state isn't the best choice. Cocktail was great "don't make me repeach myself" and presentation was good. Kids portion was generous.

Pan-fried trout, perfectly cooked, no bones, and beautifully presented. That chef really knows his stuff!

This place has amazing ambiance! You would never imagine walking into this cabin-themed restaurant to be served a meal. The chef knocked it outta the park! Staff are down to earth, treat you like family and leave a warm spot in your heart. Wonderful experience from the minute we walked in the door. #Restaurant #Cabin #Food #Family #Love

AMAZING food, service and view! Farm-to-table restaurant offering multiple gluten free options. We chowed down on the beet salad, bison short ribs, fish tacos switching the fried cod for fresh grilled trout and all of them were delicious! I highly recommend making this a stop for anyone traveling through Island Park, ID!

Lunch menu. I would recommend the burger. Food is good but small portions.

We loved this restaurant. Great food but be aware of small portions. I was impressed with the burger it was a great size for me. The smoked salmon appetizer was good. Probably would order something else next time. My partner got the tuna sashimi dish. He was very hungry and this was kinda small but he liked it. Above all we received outstanding service from the gentlemen with a nice big white smile! He catered to my GF allergy beautifully. I loved the atmosphere here it was very nice. We will come back another time cause the patio area was breath taking and it really felt like we were on a nice vacation even though we weren't far from home. Service ambiance and location make this place great!

We loved the location on the water, even though we arrived on a rainy day and couldn't sit on the deck, the views were beautiful. Cocktails were good- I liked the spicy tequila jalapeño drink and my husband enjoyed the huckleberry old fashioned. There weren't a lot of vegetarian options (as expected in the area, not a big deal) but the mushroom pasta was incredibly delicious and perfectly cooked, and was generously sized, it could easily serve two people. Our server was kind but a little distracted as she had other tables to wait on, which resulted in some crossed wires for our party of 8's orders and checks, but no harm done as we weren't in a hurry and she was so kind about it. We will definitely be back if ever we are in the area, and highly recommend this place!

View from our table. Window seat.

Great view! Menu is updated to the black one! Great food (especially their potatoes) and view was fantastic. Service was kind and my parents loved the ambiance.

Amazing , Amazing - we are from San Francisco and a bit spoiled by amazing food - but the service , freshness of ingredients, and the view of the river blew our socks off . There is a lot of pride in providing the freshest of food , perfectly spiced and presented . If you are in the area , do yourself a favor and dine here!

I arrived around 7 PM and grabbed a seat at the bar since I was dining solo. The restaurant was busy, but the atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable. For dinner, I ordered the Chicken Prosciutto Pasta with a side of bread. The pasta was outstanding -- easily one of the best pasta dishes I've had in a long time. The combination of braised chicken, prosciutto, mushrooms, tomatoes, roasted red peppers, and creamy parmesan-mascarpone sauce came together perfectly. Every bite was flavorful, rich, and satisfying without feeling heavy or dry. As someone preparing for a half marathon the next morning, it was the perfect carb-loading meal. I also ordered the Huckleberry Sundae for dessert. If you're visiting the Yellowstone area, do yourself a favor and try something with huckleberries. The ice cream, topping, and whipped cream were fantastic, and it ended up being one of my favorite desserts from the trip. One unexpected bonus was getting to chat with other travelers at the bar, including another runner who was also working toward completing a half marathon in all 50 states. It added to the friendly, welcoming feel of the place. Overall, Madison Crossing Lounge delivered excellent food, a great atmosphere, and a memorable dining experience. I don't hand out many five-star reviews, but this one earned it. If I'm back in West Yellowstone for another race or a visit to Yellowstone National Park, I'll absolutely be returning. You don't have to be dressy or childless, but the menu and ambiance are ever slightly more grown-up than other options. Prices reflect that while still being reasonable. Standard salads were refreshing start to unwind after crowds at Yellowstone. Excellently buttered and pan-seared trout with grilled asparagus and sauteed snap peas were wonderful. Timing is everything. Try to arrive before 6pm to avoid the queue. (Restaurant opens at 5pm; moderate sized dining room.) The (Montana-sized portion of) huckleberry ice cream seemed popular with many diners.

Service was great, Julie did a great job, being she was the only person working. The squeeze and I shared the elk burger, got it medium with onion rings. No charge for an extra plate. There is a rustic car out front with an area outside but the windows can be closed to be indoors. The inside is large with a pool table in the entrance area. The staff was nice enough to close the large windows when it got called. For appetizers, we got the Bison Bone Marrow. It was good but needed a little salt, if u like bone marrow though it doesn't taste much different from any other ones. For dinner, we got the Black and Blue, which is a steak salad. It came with vinaigrette, but as a salad, it still wasn't that filling, so if you're looking for something light with some protein, this would be good. We also got 2 of the pastas, including the Mussel Pasta which was packed to the brim with mussel, unsure if it was cause it was the end of the night, but there was a lot. Kept opening mussels and somehow there would still be more. We also added mushrooms to this, which is a good idea for a little veggie. The pasta sauce itself is on the thinner side, with a liquid consistency by the end. The other pasta was the Elk Ravioli, and the pieces of this were huge. It was very saucy but still filling. If you got some fries, I would try them in the sauce. We, of course, had to try some Yellowstone specialities. The Bison and Elk burgers. Honestly, because we got one with cheese and one without it tasted kind of similar. I would opt for no cheese if you really want to get the meat flavor. And we also got the Bison Ribeye, we got medium. It was nice and thick, but it only came with 2 asparagus. Was expecting a little more of that rather than the mashed potatoes, which were more on the chunky side.

The reviews made it sound like a really fun experience the kids would get a kick out of, and the outside does look the part, but when you get inside it's just a small diner with a little store behind it full of denim shirts and jackets etc. Once we got there, I could see why they don't post the menu online. The reviews made it sound so great that we took a chance, and after our second 12hr traveling day we were exhausted and it was frustrating to not have a good meal. There was almost nothing appealing on the menu. We ordered a grilled cheese and avocado blt, and some tots (the frozen kind you get at the store) and little balls of fried Mac n cheese which were not great. We basically ordered something small to get something in our stomachs and be polite, and left and got pizza. Our server was friendly but kept redirecting things to himself and his former athletic accomplishments, and encouraged our boys to call him "coach" instead of his name. Also, there was an open flame candle burning in the restroom which is a fire hazard. It was our first night of 5 in Island Park and not a good way to start the week, and if I had it to do over we would not have gone to Connie's Restaurant & Saloon.
