Family and I were staying in the area decided to stop in for dinner when we returned to our cabin. Some of the reviews had me a little Leary but we decided to give it a shot. Nice size place with plenty of sports on tv and awesome seating. Waiter was prompt and got our orders quickly. Food was delivered in a timely manner. Those of us with burgers enjoyed them. I needed a salad so got that for my side and all the ingredients were very fresh. Daughter had the Spicy Chicken Pasta and liked it. My burger was something new for me. Had bacon, blue cheese and Granny Smith apples. Man it worked. Great food.

If you need some fuel and are feeling like some beer and pizza to top it off with this is your spot !!!

During our 5 night vacation to Yellowstone we ate at Ponds Lodge twice. The first night I had their pizza and potato skins and my friend had the bison meatloaf. The pizza was AMAZING as were the potato skins (I mean, it's Idaho, right?). My friend also enjoyed his meatloaf and even talked about it a few days after the trip because it was so good. The second night my friend and I split a pizza and also ordered the pretzels. They must make the pretzels and the cheese sauce there because they were out of this world! So tasty! What really set this restaurant apart from the rest was the service. Our server was attentive, super friendly, and took the time to chat with us when she wasn't busy. She was telling us about Yellowstone and gave us some info on her background, which was super interesting.

Ordered a burger for takeout that was awesome! Would order again for sure. Super quick wait time.

Piece of plastic found in the pot pie. Horrible experience all around!

The daily parking fee, bathroom size in the room, and continental breakfast were all disappointing. We didn't know about the $20 per day parking fee when we booked it and they accidentally charged us $75 per day for our 1 dog, when they were only supposed to charge one $75 fee. Thankfully I caught it and called to have them refund us $150. The hotel is new, modern, & beautiful inside and out! Especially the gorgeous view of the river right behind the hotel!! The river is only a couple feet deep at its deepest so a safe place to fish and play with kids. There's great fishing right here! Massive trout!! The room was just ok. The beds weren't uncomfortable. We had 3 adults and 2 kids in our 2 queens and pull-out-couch-bed room. The bathroom/shower was just too small for a room that can sleep up to 6 guests. We did enjoy their free coffee that they have available 24/7. The continental breakfast was 2/5 stars. All the fruit they offered didn't look appetizing, I don't mind powdered scrambled eggs but I just couldn't eat theirs. They only offered sausage other than eggs and it looked very unappetizing. So unless you only eat cereal, bagels, and waffles for breakfast- you might not want to count on eating their breakfast, unfortunately.

Rating the restaurant which only offers a tasting menu (pick one appetizer, one entree and one…read moredessert from the 3-4 options in each section and the price you pay is the price of the entree which is between $65-80 per person). The restaurant itself is nicely decorated (feels like you are in an upscale cabin) with a few tables and some tables outside. They bring out bread to the table with olive oil and tomato puree, but my gripe is they brought 4 small slices of bread in a basket to our table of 4. We had to ask for more bread twice (once to soak up the sauce from the appetizers). They could definitely be more generous with the bread, but that is minor. For my appetizer I ordered the gnocchi (brown butter sauce with crispy prosciutto, sage and mushrooms) which was absolutely delicious, I just wish it was a slightly bigger portion. I know it is a starter, but I always want more than 6 or so gnocchi. The texture was perfect, pillowy and soaked up the sauce nicely. For my entree I ordered the beef medallions in a green peppercorn sauce with asparagus and potatoes au gratin. This dish was also divine (though I could have done with fewer peppercorns). The meat was cooked perfectly and was a nice sized portion (6 medium slices of steak). The asparagus and au gratin were very tasty and went well with the dish. Others had the halibut with farrow which they enjoyed, especially the tomato jam on top of the fish though I think the beef was the better of the two dishes. There were 4 desserts and 4 of us so we tried all four. There was a blood orange sorbet (way too sour for my liking), bananas foster cake, ice cream with fresh berries and a chocolate bread pudding. We enjoyed them all (others like the sorbet) and one in our group said the desserts were the best course. Overall we had a really nice meal and it is fairly good value for the quality and for being a 3 course menu. The only thing to improve here is the service. They only had 3 servers we saw and while our waitress was friendly, she seemed new and overwhelmed. We had to ask for out water to be refilled a few times, for more bread (we asked, it did not arrive and we had to ask again), and she did not come by our table often. She had forgotten a request to put a sauce on the side (no big deal) and we had to flag her down for the bill. Again not a huge detractor, but for an upscale restaurant you would expect more attentive service. All that said, the food was fantastic and I would recommend coming here for dinner.

I'd rate this 5 stars as a restaurant but 3 stars as a fishing lodge. Here's why…read more Restaurant: food was outstanding for all four evenings we ate. Beware the limited menu (about 3-4 selections in each category) but that's a good sign, not a bad one, when it comes to a fairly small restaurant and the need to have fresh ingredients. The weather didn't permit us to eat outside, but I'm guessing it's even better when the patio is open. Lodge: the patio and main rooms are nice, the guest rooms were ok but for the price ($1500/night for us for two people) we found the furnishings and construction a bit cheap. The service was excellent and the people wonderful. But the price was high and -- most important -- the fishing was meh. Between two of us we caught maybe 10 trout in 3 days in June which is supposed to be a good month. I'd recommend the lodge for couples. For fishing buddies you might be better off -- and spend a lot less money -- at a more casual place.

I was very disappointed with the level of customer service and management responsiveness I received. On three separate occasions, your customer service representatives assured me that a manager would contact me regarding my concerns. Unfortunately, I never received a return call. Failing to follow through on promised callbacks creates a poor customer experience and leaves customers feeling ignored. During my initial conversation, a customer service representative explained that in an emergency, management would typically contact the customer directly to discuss the circumstances and, when appropriate, consider a partial refund or another resolution. Based on that information, I expected at least the courtesy of a conversation with management regarding my concerns. Instead, my attempts to communicate were repeatedly disregarded. On my final call, the representative answered in a way that made me feel like an inconvenience rather than a valued customer. Throughout the entire process, the manager never returned my calls or spoke with me directly. Regardless of the outcome, I believe every customer deserves respectful communication and follow-through when concerns are raised. Unfortunately, my experience reflected a lack of professionalism and customer care, which is not how a reputable business should operate.

After checkout, I discovered a $20+ charge on my card for a supposed "welcome gift box" that I never received and was never told about. According to the hotel, it included a small stuffed animal and some Snickers -- except none of it was in the room. When I called to dispute the charge, I got bounced between staff and management. They claimed they did an "investigation," but still refused to refund me. Charging guests for items they never received and then refusing to resolve it feels deceptive and extremely unprofessional. Advice for future guests: the second you enter your room, take timestamped photos or videos of everything before touching anything. Then immediately ask the front desk if there are any paid gift boxes or welcome items connected to your stay. If they say yes, do NOT go check by yourself -- bring a supervisor or manager into the room with you so everything is documented on the spot. Otherwise, you could end up being charged for something that was never there. Unfortunately, this felt less like a misunderstanding and more like a scam-style scheme hoping guests won't notice until they're already miles away.
