Arrived a few minutes before opening and there was already a line forming. We were sat quickly and our server was Justin. I had the Huckleberry lemonade and my son had the Red Ale. We opted for the crab stuffed shrimp wrapped in bacon and this was by far the best thing I've eaten while on this vacation! The pesto sauce put it over the top! My son had the elk rack with potatoes and asparagus and I had the Madison salad. My salad wasn't as delicious as I'd hoped for. We also had a serving of the bread and it was delicious! Excellent meal, and excellent service!

My entire party enjoyed our food and the service very much. The only concern was how my steak was cooked. I ordered medium rare, and it came out very rare, almost blue. The waiter was very polite about the situation and immediately sent it back for a bit more time on the grill. Small restaurant but definitely worth the wait.

This restaurant was all out surprising, and maybe because of its location. My wife and I do enjoy a good meal, especially when we travel. It just makes the day whole. With our expectations in check, we chose this restaurant for last nights supper. What a pleasant surprise!! The menu was comprised of interesting dishes that you won't find every day. The service was spot on. Knowledgeable, friendly, patient, welcoming. Our dishes were a pure delight. We enjoyed Idaho trout, bison steak, their speciality salad, and blueberry bread pudding. Every dish was delightful; fresh, full of local flavors. If you visit West Yellowstone, this place is the second most important destination right after the park!

Bison is the theme for this night's dinner. Bison burger: I've had bison before, but it has been such a long time that I thought after seeing these creatures during the day that why not, let's try some again. If you've never had it before, it's just like any beef burger. There's a slightly gamey flavor to it, but nowhere near as gamey as deer. It's nothing crazy if you're on the fence about trying bison. Do it! Be daring! :) This 8 oz bison comes with caramelized onions and blue cheese and their house steak sauce. Bison meatloaf: The bison was good but not amazing per the hubs. He enjoys meatloaf so why not bison meatloaf. Even with all the sauce, you can still distinguish the bison. And it went so well with the garlic [mashed] potatoes; the chantilly potatoes were crazy good. The asparagus were so so. Caramelized onions: These were incidentally added instead of a substitution. They're caramelized onions, and these are no exception. Meaning they were okay. It's not like there were gold flakes or anything making it special. But we were charged $3 for it though. :( This little restaurant is quite busy without a reservation around dinner time. The wait time wasn't too terrible at approximately 20 mins of a wait time. There's a brewery across the hallway if you want to grab a beer while you wait.

The meats were all cooked well. The bison tenderloin was definitely the best but even the elk and the flat iron steak were fantastic. Vegetables were a tad undercooked, so overall had more of a crunch than we like them. I had the huckleberry burger (the only dish I didn't take a photo of...) and it was actually solid. The two main disappointments were the au poivre sauce on the elk and the salad. The sauce tasted like straight up just alcohol and ruined the beautiful elk. For the salad, there was an overload of goat cheese and not enough dressing - and one of my pet peeves is a salad doused in dressing so the fact that I wanted more dressing has pretty much never happened to me before. All in all, we were impressed by a few things considering the location and I still would recommend others to come in and try the bison tenderloin.

We were coming into West Yellowstone for Valentines Weekend, and I heard this was the place to eat in town. I made reservations 4 weeks in advance. They had a V-Day menu, but we both got the Flat Iron Steak, it melted in your mouth. Can't say enough about the delicious cocktails, apps, entrees, and tiramisu. A must try!

This place is busy (even in the off season) but the food is worth the wait! Elevated bar and large group dining atmosphere. My husband is a burger snob and his devoured his burger within minutes. I had the prosciutto pasta and it was delicious! Flavorful with just the right amount of kick. So creamy and definitely comforting. We shared the lemon sorbet which was just the right amount of tart. If we weren't so full, I would have loved to try their other desserts. Just an excuse to go back again!

our waiter Brian was awesome, he suggested the Bison and Elk Both were excellent, Best steak i have ever had. This place is a must stop and be sure to ask for Brian! Guy is really great! Also we had Daou Pessimist Red Blend, which was also amazing! ~cowboy

Nice place right in West Yellowstone. We started with the bison nachos, which were a little disappointing. There was not much meat whatsoever on them and for the price, we were expecting more. I had the steak and my husband had the chicken prosciutto pasta. Those were excellent. The steak was perfectly cooked with a great chimichurri sauce, asparagus, and a choice between mashed potatoes or smokey au gratin potatoes, which I chose. The potatoes were the perfect accompaniment and were delicious. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his pasta. Very flavorful. Our waitress was great and the food came out pretty quick for a busy night. Would definitely come back again if we are in the area.

If you saw a bison in the Yellowstone National Park and want to try it, this restaurant has a great selection. No local fish though. The bar area is way bigger than the restaurant. We've been wanting over a half hour to get it(4 people, Thursday night 7:30) Chef recommends "bison tenderloin" medium rare , and the server asked me how I would like it cooked. I asked "medium" and specifically asked "no blood please". However, it was a lot of blood LOL. But they've been nice and took my dish out to fix it. I recommend!

What a great place for dinner!! We arrived at 5 when it opened & were seated right away. It filled up quickly with people waiting to be seated! Such a cute spot in the middle of town!! Brian our server was excellent!!! I had the Chicken Prosciutto Pasta & my husband had the Bison burger w/fries. Both were served hot & so delicious!! Also had a light beer on tap, served ice cold!! Highly recommend when visiting West Yellowstone!!

This restaurant is located in a busy area. There's street parking but might have to walk a tad during the busy season. We arrived on a Sunday at 5 pm during a 3-day weekend. We put our name on the wait list and was told 30 minutes. In the meantime, we went across the way to have a beer and cocktail. The huckleberry lemonade was dangerously refreshing. About 25 minutes enjoying my beverage, our table was ready. Water was already waiting for us and our server promptly greeted us. I ordered the spinach strawberry salad and trout cakes. The salad didn't live up to my expectations due to the dressing that should be addressed. I thought it was too citrusy and overtook the plate. Unsure if the trout cakes are fresh or frozen. I enjoyed the Smokey flavor but the texture was mushy. My companion enjoyed his steak and sides. He finished everything on his plate and would make any mother proud.

They have outdoor dining where dogs are allowed as well as indoor dining with a bar. As of May 2026 when we went, the menu online was not the menu we received when we dined in, so I attached a photo but keep in mind it can change. The service here was great, it was out waitress Brooke's first night and she was wonderful. The manager and staff overall were fantastic and the food came out at a good pace, not too long or short a wait. For starters we ordered the grilled peach burrata salad, elk and bison chili, crispy brussel sprouts and chicken wings with huckleberry bbq sauce. Each of these were very tasty and we would eat them all again. I would argue the appetizers were better than the entrees. The wings were slightly under par compared to the other dishes, but that is just because they needed more huckleberry flavor (very light). For entrees we ordered the pan seared trout and the grilled ribeye. Both were massive portions, the trout came with wild rice and asparagus, the steak came with goat cheese mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. The trout was served as two big filets (found a few small bones, but no big deal) and was cooked well, but one filet needed more seasoning and was a little fishy tasting. The rice was a bit boring and dry, but the asparagus were superb. The ribeye was cooked nicely and tasted even better with the chipotle lime butter it came with. The mashed potatoes were great and did taste of goat cheese and the brussel sprouts were delicious, very similar to the appetizer preparation. Similar to the trout, the portion of steak was large, but a good portion of it was gristle and fat (about 30-40%). Overall a nice meal with huge serving sizes. Had we known how big the entrees would be, we may have shared one or ordered less appetizers. Great service with a pleasant ambiance.

But for all normal yelpers I would recommend avoiding this place especially if you are here on vacation. We are here for a family vacation and were excited to come to block 3 for our first dinner night. I'm always a little skeptical about hotel restaurants as they are either great or really bad. Let's just say we all left here very disappointed The only good thing about the food was the appetizer truffle fries we ordered. We ended up waiting over an hour for a main meals and we were one of the first tables seated for the night. All of our protein dishes: pork, branzino, and steaks clearly were sitting out for a while and cooked horribly - they were all cold!! Our friend who ordered the Steak spoke up as the steak was $65 asking for it to be warmed. They took it back to kitchen and it came back the same way!!! So he kindly asked to remove it from menu. The manager came over eventually and said there was nothing he could do, didn't offer him another plate... nothing. To top it all off - they tried to overcharge us! They tried to round up the 2 orders of pork chops to $80 when it should have been $76. Very rarely do I leave a restaurant thinking, "This is exactly why so many people prefer eating at home." Yesterday was one of those times. The experience left me seriously questioning why I'd bother going out to eat when I can save money and enjoy a much more pleasant, delicious meal at home.

The reviews made it sound like a really fun experience the kids would get a kick out of, and the outside does look the part, but when you get inside it's just a small diner with a little store behind it full of denim shirts and jackets etc. Once we got there, I could see why they don't post the menu online. The reviews made it sound so great that we took a chance, and after our second 12hr traveling day we were exhausted and it was frustrating to not have a good meal. There was almost nothing appealing on the menu. We ordered a grilled cheese and avocado blt, and some tots (the frozen kind you get at the store) and little balls of fried Mac n cheese which were not great. We basically ordered something small to get something in our stomachs and be polite, and left and got pizza. Our server was friendly but kept redirecting things to himself and his former athletic accomplishments, and encouraged our boys to call him "coach" instead of his name. Also, there was an open flame candle burning in the restroom which is a fire hazard. It was our first night of 5 in Island Park and not a good way to start the week, and if I had it to do over we would not have gone to Connie's Restaurant & Saloon.
