Tried a bunch of things on my first visit, and I'll definitely be back. The gyro burger blew my mind. I've never had gyro meat in a burger before, but hey, it works! You have to get the chicken shawarma with the loaded fries, just trust me on this. And don't forget to ask for extra sauce~ Also loved the steak pita wrap--the meat was insanely tender. I watched as this place was slowly built and put together. Gave it my first go, cant say my party was overly impressed by anything we ordered, but the food was still decent. I can definitely say the customer service is outstanding. I can't remember the employee's name, but he was very friendly, gave solid recommendations, and he checked in on us regularly.. I ordered the chicken shawarma wrap. Sadly it was overly loaded with the sauce and masked any other flavor. The double cheeseburger with avocado/bacon added to it was not bad. Stumbled upon this place on a Sunday because Main Street and peer were too busy for my overstimulated dogs. It was a very pleasant surprise, with parking, patio, and indoor seating tucked on a quieter corner one block away from Main Street. The food was light, clean, flavorful, and the steak was tender and juicy. I got the steak bowl and zatar fries which were both delicious and tasted very clean. Next door the cafe has redbull infusions so I grabbed one to fuel up for my walk to the dog beach. On my way back Angry Al's back patio was popping with a DJ and even dancing Bratz dolls. They were so cute and i definitely would book them for my own party lol. Overall 10/10 location , parking, food, and vibes . I recommend it everyone I met that day. I will be back! read more

This is just what we needed for a fresh, healthy and quick option just off Main St. The employee at the register went above and beyond to be friendly and helpful, and even came around to those of us sitting outside to put up the umbrellas for us. The Mediterranean menu is mainly comprised of bowls, wraps and sandwiches and they have a few American items like a cheeseburger and chicken tenders. They even have breakfast. I had the steak wrap, subbed the fries for a side salad, and it was the perfect lighter lunch for my workday. I work in the area so I look forward to coming back more often. read more

I would first like to start on the positive where the food was beyond amazing and the french fries were fresh and hot. The burger was very nice as well however, I would like to say the rating of a three was based off of the Customer service because I would've put a zero I first walked in and had to use the restroom prior to ordering and I was not welcomed and when asked to use the restroom I had a young girl with an attitude saying It's only for paying customers had I not had to use the restroom immediately I would have explained yes I am going to be a Customer, which I did And I was not happy with how I was approached. It's not about being able to have access to the restroom but telling people in a more positive way about how you can order before using the restroom, but sometimes you can't wait to do that and I understand that this may be a recurring thing, but I do believe if someone is need of using the restroom quickly, would it be better to serve them instead of making them order prior to having use the restroom so I think the company should rethink their policy, but had I not been with a large group I would not have eaten somewhere based on how I was treated. So my advice to others is if you are going to eat here and need to use the restroom it seems as if you're required to purchase prior to using the restroom just so you know the policy . read more

Down town hot spot ... Had the family out biking on the boardwalk, downtown we explored some food options and Angry Als was an easy cross, plenty of bike locking areas and just a really kewlio environment. Out on the sidewalk was a vocalist singing some good jams while we ate at Als. One grandson got the chicken bowl and loved every bite, my other grandson got a burger and was also a happy camper. I got the Chicken Shawarma Wrap and it might be the best Shawarma Ive had, it was really good. The fries are good too. Go go garlic sauce for the win. My son in law also got a wrap that looked great. My daughter got the Philly Grille, its what I got last time here. Its uniquely different then most Phillys with a thicker meat choice, but soo tender and soo good. We were on our way to Sancho's Tacos and saw this new restaurant, Angry Al's is open. Yelp reviews looked good and it's new so we decided to detour here. And we love Mediterranean food! This is a cute location with prime realty on the corner of 6th and PCH. Great view of the pier & on 4th of July they will have an excellent view of the fireworks! When we got there the gentleman kindly said we have pictures and they had a menu on the counter with images of their food items. He also suggested what is good. I ended up getting the HB Fire Wrap with chicken and we got the Avocado Bliss Wrap with steak. When we got the receipt we were a bit surprised that the protein is additional. The chicken was $2.99 and steak is $3.99. It'd be nice if they add the price to the menu and/or mention it when we order. The menu says wrap + choice of protein but doesn't say protein costs additional. We also got the Zatar wrap which is made of herbs like thyme and that was tasty and tasted healthy! That was $0.25 cents extra which isn't bad but maybe mention it when your customers pick it so they aren't surprised. The HB Fire Wrap was good; loved the pickle inside. The chicken tasted a bit dry. The Avocado Bliss Wrap was better and the steak was good. And the sauce with it was yummy! Glad we tried a new location in HB! read more

Took a trip to Angry Al's and left feeling anything but angry. The food is fresh and flavorful, served in a bright, inviting space by an incredibly friendly staff. Huge shoutout to Danny, the owner, who took the time to personally welcome our group and share a bit about the restaurant's story. Love hearing that he could (and probably does) eat here every day, which is always a great sign! I went for the Carnivore Bowl because I had to try all the meats, then added almost all of the dips and dressings on the side--10/10, would recommend. Just when I thought it couldn't get any better, Frankie, the manager, surprised us with their new baklava for dessert that did not disappoint. First the cashier was super cute, friendly, and knowledgeable. Ordered the omelette and it was PLENTY for us to split - basically a cheese omelette with bell peppers and onions cooked onto the eggs. Hash browns were perfect blend of crunchy outside and soft inside. But for us the Honey Wheat toast stole the show - I ordered it well done and it came out perfectly toasted, just enough butter, and the flavor was so good we didn't use any jam - a first for us! I just wanted a snack so I got the fried cauliflower which was amazing! It's not breaded, so doesn't end up tasting or feeling greasy. It's served on a bed of shredded lettuce so I ended up cutting it into pieces, pouring my tahini sauce over and turning it into a salad. There are so many other fresh and delicious-looking items on the menu. The guy helping me was very thoughtful, eagerly steering me toward the falafel when I said I wanted a vegan sauce. We had an amazing dinner at Angry Al's last night! I got to try the salads, the fried cauliflower (make sure you get it with tahini), all the skewered meats and the chicken shawarma and everything was delicious! The staff were so nice/were on top of everything we needed and there's even a designated parking lot off the alley in the back. We came here on a Saturday for lunch and found parking behind the restaurant which shocked me. I thought for sure we'd have to search high and low for parking. Wasn't sure when they first opened as a new restaurant on the block but they have more than proven themselves a killer addition to the neighborhood! Great place! This was my second time here. The food is made to order with fresh, quality ingredients. The chef makes each iitem as if he is making it for himself. Today I had the double cheeseburger. A lightly grilled, soft brioche bun with two perfectly cooked burgers (good quality meat), cheese, grilled onions, finely shredded lettuce, tomato, and spicy chipotle mayo on the side. The salad was assorted field greens with freshly diced tomatoes and cucumbers. It was outstanding!!! The gyro and fries is also really good. The food was delightful! My mom and I grabbed brunch here before going to a concert and this restaurant did not disappoint. It was mostly empty when we walked inside with just one or two other customers around. The single cheeseburger and fries were so good, hands down the best fries we've ever had so far. And our plate was also a treat, we really enjoyed the salad. The best part about the meal was how I still felt pretty clean after finishing so I'd definitely go again! Finally got around to checking this place out and so glad I did! For starters, it has its own mini parking lot, which makes it super convenient. And though parking spots are 30 minutes only (at least when I went) the service is pretty quick (and super friendly) that you're likely able to finish in time if parking limit is enforced. Alright, now the ambience, I was already angry that day haha so it felt so on point to be there and see the angry yet healthy balance aesthetic. It makes you feel better about channeling anger into healthy clean food at the beach. There are a few outdoor seats that overlook the ocean, but majority of the seating are indoor but it's a very clean space. Now for the food, three words: Oh My God! I ordered the falafel bowl and my mom got the single burger. We licked our plates clean. Sometimes falafel bowls are boring, but this one was plentiful and flavorful. My mom said her burger was also delicious and clean. You feel full and satisfied but not weighed down by the food at all. Highly recommend this spot for good quality food! read more
