We ordered the pancakes, the cornbeef hash, and the burrito the X came out perfect but the pancakes were just average but they definitely needed to cook the corn beef hash longer and the pancakes were super dry. I find this place to be kind of a mix between a diner and restaurant. You order and take your seat and then they bring your good to you. We ordered the - Ham & Cheese omelette and the Country Fried Steak breakfast. The country fried steak was amazing. The breading was tasty, meat was cooked well and the gravy had really good flavor. The hash browns are cooked really well and there are a lot of them. The Eggs are an issue. I asked for over medium but I got over wet ( not even cooked easy) almost still clear. And both eggs yolks were broke when served. I wasn't really happy with the eggs but the rest of this plate was really good. The ham & Cheese omelette was large and filled with lots of cheese and ham chunks. The ham was regular chopped deli ham And the cheese was pretty good. But again, with the eggs, they were cooked horribly wrong. The omelette was severely overcooked and totally dried out. I basically just ate the ham and cheese portion of the omelette with the gas browns and toast. The service was great. Employees are friendly, attentive and polite. Papa Z's, you always hit the mark! I was out and about running errands and thought to myself that I could really go for a good sandwich and I just so happen to be in the area. The hardest decision once you're there is what to get because everything is good and the menu has more than plenty of options. The staff is always super friendly and nice. I was only there for about 40 minutes after my food came out and in that time someone stopped by twice to ask if I needed anything and if everything was to my liking. I wish there was a location a little closer to me, but it's probably a good thing for my waistline that there isn't one cause I'd be there all the time! If you're around, treat yourself. We have been getting breakfast here for decades. The "ambiance is chrome-formica-red naugahyde" diner. The food and service have always been pretty good and the prices fair. We've always been especially fond of their special that includes egg, bacon or sausage, hash browns and french toast because we can take a few slices of french toast home for another breakfast. We really like the way they make it! Prices have risen over the years and although we don't care for it, it seems to be prevalent everywhere we go. We like to do business locally and Papa Z's is near home so we continue to do business there from time to time. I like Papa Zs. The place is bustling on Sundays when I go, but it's rather quick. You can order your food at the counter and then seat yourself (they even have a sign that says that, so no saving seats). The girl at the counter told me she did not have change and could not take my order because she could not cash $100 bill in the middle of the day on a Sunday No extra effort from the manager to look in the back to see if they had change just asked if I had a credit card. I said no and we only had the cash so they opted to let us walk out the door and not eat $60 worth of food to pay with $100 bill . Never had this kind of service here before. Canned corned beef hash over people who try to recreate it lol. Corned beef hash is the best so I was stoked that Papa Z's serves it with their 2 egg combo! Martin wanted to try the Polish Sausage Egg Combo, but the poslish sausage turned out to be a regular grilled hotdog lol -- but that's okay, it was still delicious. Ordering was easy enough once you peruse the big menu on the back wall. We had so much ordered, short stack and sausage and egg sandwich and French toast combo and Corned Beef hash and eggs and, oh my, the hash browns were huge. The food came to the table, and I wished silverware was ready. We did get them with the next batch of plates. It was a big Papa Z's breakfast for sure.
