We didn't get enough beer at yesterday's Dark Embrace, so we started the day back at the scene of the crime. Angry Chair was hosting a brunch to close out Tampa Bay Beer Week, and it was the perfect way to kick off the last day. I had a couple stouts and we shared a few of the brunch dishes. First up was the Chicken Biscuit with juicy fresh chicken tenders drizzled in hot honey and creamy goat cheese on a fluffy house made biscuit. It was so good we had to order the Bacon, Egg and Cheese Biscuit too, loaded with two over hard fried eggs, crispy bacon, and American cheese. We finished with the Breakfast Tacos packed with scrambled eggs, bacon, cheddar jack, caramelized onion, hatch chile, and sriracha mayo on corn tortillas. I washed it all down with a Barrel Aged Irish Cream Fionn Imperial Porter and Caviar Cowboy Imperial Pastry Stout. Its sad when you see something that was once great go downhill so fast. They seemed to have given up on producing quality beer. The foods quality has gone way down. when you go to a "large" brewery, you'd expect more than 2 stouts, 1 IPA and a bunch of who cares sours on tap. And it was Tampa Bay Beer week. They had zero stouts bottled to go, and only their 8 year old average IPA in cans. It had nothing to do with the beer, but an order of chicken tenders were completely raw as well. they didnt charge us for the even worse replacements, but i wouldnt have paid anyway. Brewery #293 (This is my 2nd visit) Drinking beer at Angry Chair Eating wings without a care Drunk and loud so people stare I think those are the lyrics to the Alice and Chain's song that shares the brewery's name. If not, it describes my latest visit. I met a bunch of friends here for lunch and one of my friends ordered an insane amount of food. Cheese curds, pretzel sticks with cheese and mustard, chicken parm eggrolls, spicy tuna nachos and winter nachos. I order some wings before all of this happened. The Honey Buffacue wings were great. that is honey BBQ and buffalo sauce mixed together if you needed it mansplained. Perfectly crisp skin tossed in the sauce. Delish. I tried the pretzel and it was solid but not crazy good. The group raved over the spicy tuna nachos. The beer is top notch. Their stouts are phenomenal and are basically a dessert in liquid form. I got 2 on this visit, the Cinna-Fion (actually a porter) and Barrel Aged Cake pop. Their hazy IPAs are almost equally as good. I got a couple of these juicy delights as well. I don't often revisit breweries because I always want to try new ones but when I come to Tampa, I revisit this one every time. read more

I came here with a large group on a brewery hopping trip. The staff was very friendly and helpful and allowed us to use the private room even though there was an event booked later. They checked on us several times to make sure we didn't need anything. The grilled chicken wrap was delicious and really hit the spot. I had a barrel aged stout that was very good as well. This is a much larger location than they previously occupied and it was busy but food came out fast and hot. read more

Angry Chair is well known in the Tampa area for hard hitting BA stouts, but my favorite beer here is the Czech pilsner, Vodnik. They also have an amazing kitchen! I've had great sandwiches, wings, nachos, and the cruch wrap is bomb! All seating is indoors, and they usually have a good selection of brews to go. read more

Only went here once, but I have always enjoyed Angry Chair's stouts. So, if you like stouts like me, then this is the place for you! When I went, I believe there were at least 5-6 of them on tap. The location is pretty big inside and the parking lot is free. We Ubered here from our hotel. We tried some of the food here and it was pretty good. If I had a complaint, it would only be that they were extremely low on swag and stickers so we walked away empty-handed. read more

We tried Angry Chair when a friend of ours was hosting a birthday get-together there. We live in the neighborhood so thought it was finally a great opportunity to try them out! We looked at the menu before arriving and online there was mention of a daily happy hour. Upon attempting to order, we asked about happy hour and were told that they don't have that? But they were doing Oktoberfest so we could order from that special menu. In general, we really enjoy lagers, wheat beers, stouts, sours, and goses so we ordered accordingly. I wish I could remember the beers we ordered but we ordered at least 4 different beers. 1 sour, 1 stout, 1 lager, and 1 wheat beer. The sours and the stouts were essentially candy. They were entirely way too sweet. I was so thankful we ordered the little 5 oz size to taste test. We couldn't find one beer that we enjoyed but others seemed to enjoy some of the IPAs. We, unfortunately, do not like IPAs so maybe this isn't the brewery for us? I would like to come back to try some of their new beers since it seems like they rotate quite a bit. I would just like to try them first before paying for something I don't enjoy. As for food!!!!! They killed it. Both my wife and I said we would 100% return for the food alone. We ordered the cheese curds and the wings, tossed in Honey Old Bay. Both were SPOT ON!! Crispy wings in delicious sauce and the curds were exactly as they should be; crispy and niiiice and stretchy. YUM! Others in our group ordered the burgers and really enjoyed them as well. This was our first visit to Angry Chairs', current location, it's a lot larger than the previous space & features a great kitchen menu. Staff was friendly and attentive, and it was great to chat with Ryan about some of our breweries back home in Fort Lauderdale. We shared the Simple Smashburger w/ Fries, which came with house-made garlic mayo and onion jam. The Florida Native hazy DIPA was really great, & we'd hoped to try the Barrel-Aged Wilfred Stout but it kicked before we were able to. Luckily, Cinna-Fred was still available & was the same beer with cinnamon added. Their barrels are can't-miss! We'll definitely be back on our next visit. read more

I recently visited Angry Chair Brewing with a friend who was visiting from out of state. He is a huge fan of Angry Chair so this was high on his list of places to visit while he was here. I'm not a huge beer fan, but I did try a few sips of the stouts he ordered. My friend absolutely loved them, but I found them way too sweet for my taste. With that said, the food was the star of the show for me. We had the Tuna Nachos and they were amazing!! The wonton crisps were so light, crispy and delicate that you had to be gentle when picking them up, and the tuna was super fresh and flavorful. I will definitely be back for the nachos and I'm excited to try some of the other dishes. Even if you are not a beer fan, this place is worth a visit for the food. read more

I have to give it to Angry Chair as the best brewery in the Tampa Bay area. If you love good beer and good food, this is the place for you. There is open table seating and bar seating. The bar is almost always full after 5pm. Tampa Bay has a lot of competition between breweries, but Angry Chair stands out amongst the best. The food is always on point. I could order any item on the menu and know it's going to be great. The menu does change and is always exciting. Please bring back the "Tampa Native." On my way home from Tampa Downtown, I decided to make a stop at Angry Chair Brewing for a beer. Parking was ample, and I easily found a good spot right in front of the brewery. As I walked in, I loved the lively atmosphere, with people enjoying their drinks and even a party being hosted inside. At the bar, I was greeted by a friendly server who helped me choose my drink. We were in town for my birthday and was searching for some great breweries, as we do when we visit other towns. Found Angry Chair and after seeing the beers on tap and menu items... decided to come here one night! Walking in, the outside signage was awesome! Inside, there was a lot of tables and a great bar. We were a party of 6 and a baby, so we sat inside a semi-private room that had a long table in the center so it was very comfortable. You have to go up to the bar to order drinks and food, and they give you a number for the table - so they can bring your food out. All the beers we had were great! Food was REALLY good. Finding a great brewery with good food... amazing find! Recommendations: Angry Shrimp and Crab Rangoon Egg Rolls (not pictured). SO good! The smash burger was a really good too! You had me at Nachos and Brewery! I knew from the outside that I would love it! We went for dinner and a beer (or two) on a Saturday night. It was crowded but we had no problem finding a table. I ordered a lager (or two) and was really happy with it. Every time i'm in Tampa, I make sure to stop by here. They make some damn good BA Stouts, and there is almost always at least 1-2 on the draft board. I do miss their old small space, but having the larger space is much better since they do get crowded. Employees are always friendly, and the food from the kitchen is way above average. When I first heard of the existence of Angry Chair Brewing the Alice in Chains song immediately came to my head. After a small amount of pondering Steve and I decided to give the brewery a try and perhaps my fondness for the song had something to do with it. The beer that Steve and I had we liked fairly well. It was a fruited Berliner Weisse. The name of this particular beer is Rainbow Puffs. This beer also has the characteristics of a sour. While not too pucker inducing this beer is fairly sweet. With elements of flavor like fruit, marshmallow, cereal and yes, some tartness too. The beer has a bright maroon type of hue which matches perfectly with the can art. Good beer for sure, I am glad it was a smaller portion however because a whole pint might be a bit much for me. read more

My husband and I decided to check this place out yesterday for a Sunday, early dinner of burgers and beers. It's a big place with plenty of parking and some picnic tables just outside the front door as well as a good amount of indoor seating. We walked up to the bar and were immediately greeted and welcomed. We ordered our beers and smash burgers and headed outside with our beers and a numbered sign to wait for our burgers. It was pretty busy, so it took about 1/2 hour but well worth the wait! The smashburgers were crispy outside, juicy inside and absolutely delicious!! This might be the best brewery I've ever been to. The ambiance is a very hard rock style but doesn't mean that's all you hear on the radio. The food is so easy but so good. Classic burgers and other wraps and small plates that pair well with their thin and crispy fries. Their beers constantly rotate with excellent selections between sours, stouts, lagers and IPAs. Our daughter decided to take us to this local brewery that has great food and a unique hard rock theme. As we walked in the back parking lot I was struck with the great outdoor wall art that decorated the building and the monthly market of local crafts and foods. The entrance is wide with several doors to enter the front. The peaceful heavy metal vibe is transparent in the artwork and the friendly bartenders made the experience lively and entertaining. We had a few rounds of microbrews and got hungry. The food service was exceptional. We ordered tuna nachos which had a ton of tuna. Yum. Service 5.8 - bar tender servers- less focus Decent place with a good size drinking area and a private room for events - you can see the brewery through windows in the seating area, always nice to see.. I never understand NOT having bar fans or at least board games or places for people to bring their own... just a flaw in my personal ex-lush, non bar owner opinion. But a little goes a long way. Overall very happy with my experience- because they make a mean burger, unfortunately for this review I'm not currently drinking. However I did take a look at their tap list and they definitely have some tasty sounding beers. They had a few options well over 7% ABV I think 12.2 was the highest one I saw... I had the Philly burger and fries with a side of Diablo sauce. She had a regular burger with lettuce onion and tomato's both were delicious the buns are phenomenal, the burgers juicy and the sauces flavorful what else do you want... Only cons I saw are it is a brewery so the service isn't the best unless maybe your a regular, they signed up to poor beers and chill not serve patrons eating food, so I get it but again a little goes a long way , make an effort when it's not busy- they did have an event going on the the private room so maybe the servers were there. I'd recommend Angry Chair Brewing for anyone looking for a fun, tried-and-true spot to enjoy craft beers and bar food! Stopped by for the second time with some friends yesterday and we had no complaints! The brewery was busy with a super diverse crowd. It's definitely an approachable bar/restaurant that's great even for customers who aren't drinking beer, and accepting to families with young children. This was something I enjoyed! There are TVs so makes it a great spot to catch a game and plenty of space for a larger party. You place your order at the bar and are then given a number for the food runners to bring the food. Bartenders were super helpful and allowed us to sample a few beers to find our favorite! The first time I came they even let us sample different bbq sauces for the wings which was appreciated! Food- We ordered the cheese curds, kids burger, chicken wings, and chopped cheese. Everything was really good, especially the cheese curds and the chopped cheese! Would definitely order them again. We had a really great time at Angry Chair Brewing. While we had great service from one of the bartenders, the service we received from Josh, the food runner was exceptional! It will truly be the reason we would go back. Let's begin with the extensive beer menu that they have. Please note in this location it is there taproom and several of the beers that were listed on their website were not available here. They also do not do flights but you can do 5 ounce pours. I chose to create a mini flight and did 45 ounce pours of different beers that I wanted to try. My husband ended with the Oktoberfest. He really liked it (again, similar to a Yuengling). I cannot remember all of the ones I got, I know one was the Vodnik (pilsner-light and crisp), Gillians (Irish red - great finish), slivered (stout - it was like a liquid banana split, so good!) and the last one I don't rememebr the name ...it flavor profile was oreos and something else. Needless to say, I love that the had a great selections of sweeter stouts! Usually stouts are so heavy coffee forward, these were a nice change. For food, my husband got the chicken wings. They come in an order of 10, nicely cooked. He opted for the sauce on the side. He got the lemon pepper and found that it was not suitable for his pallet. Josh, the food runner recommended the pizzeria hot. It was perfect! Great flavor and the heat was just perfect. It is a large portion! I got the crab rangoon dip with fried won ton chips. You can't go wrong with fried wonton chips! The dip comes out super hot and is incredibly rich in flavor. No imitation crab being used here.. I did get an additional order of the chips as I knew I would want to eat some of them just on their own. I do have shout-out Josh again as he's the sole reason we even ordered food. He stopped and talked to us when he saw we were just looking at the food menu on our phones and gave us a mini overview of their menu and some of his suggestions. I really like Angry Chair. I may be a bit generous with 5 stars, but good brew, good food, good atmosphere, and good staff all make for a pleasant experience. I went on a Saturday for the release of Wilfred, a very sweet, highly fortified stout. Unforutnately, a bit too sweet for a diabetic, so keep that in mind if you have blood sugar issues. This is definitely their wheelhouse and they had some other in this vein. The Wilfred is great. Appreciated the hazy IPAs as well, although I would choose Magnanimous over Angry Chair for this style. The German Chocolate Cake was great, but I think they missed the mark a bit. Had the cake flavor, but more like dark chocolate icing than the standard milk chocolate and coconut. Either way, impressive. Ample bar space with rooms divided up. Looks like one in the front could easily handle private parties while leaving the rest of the taproom open. Parking lot a bit small for the space, but it is easy enough to find parking on the side streets, so not a huge issue (unlike New Heights in Nashville - I digress). I was able to score two bottles of the regular WIlfred, but had to return after 3 for an additional barrel aged mini-bottle. Not complaining, but consider this if you hit releases. They still had a couple of cases when I got my last nib, so no longer as crazy as it was years before. Will definitely return next time I need a diabetic coma. LOL read more

I can't believe it took me so long to visit here. I used to come regularly when it was Brew Bus. They definitely classed up the place with this brewery switch - the interior is warm and inviting, with beautiful, and comfortable, wooden tables and chairs. My friend and I went on a Sunday for lunch - she's a pescatarian, but fortunately there were plenty of options. You order food and beverages at the side counter of the main bar, and they give you your beverages right then, and a number to bring to your table for your food to be delivered to. I had a refreshing pineapple cider by Ace to drink. I also love that they have water coolers against the wall, so you can get as much water as you like. Our food came out quickly, and I really enjoyed my Fried Green Tomato sandwich. Although the fried green tomatoes were a bit mushy, there was a generous amount of mozzarella, and the sandwich had a fresh, delicious flavor. I also loved their seasoned fries. Special shout out to the employee who came and cleared our trays and told us he expected to see us again soon - it made us feel so welcomed. I'm a long time fan of Angry Chair, this was my first time visiting their new location. It's in the old Brew Bus spot, they did some neat renovations to it. My friend and I just stopped in to grab some to-go items and were on a time crunch so we didn't get to sit and enjoy the vibe. I will definitely be back to check it out though! Theres a service spot on the bar where you can order food and drinks or check out to-go items like we did. I sampled a couple beers and ended up taking home the Dukes Mayo cake beer and the coconut one that I can't remember the name of. Both were great brews and although $12 for a single can is pricey, it's worth it. I'm happy to see Angry Chair thriving and I can't wait to see what they do in this new space! read more

Many great breweries in town. This one was ok. I did appreciate their beer selection. Great features of IPAs as well as other collabs. A setback for me was with so many great beers there was no flight setup to try and compare them all rather you must just buy multiple small pours and kind of guess which beer is what as there is the organization or labeling. I appreciated the space for a gathering of sports and they offer deals on Bucs game days, but compared to others definitely not the family friendly kind of environment. They do not offer high chairs and there was not any outdoor entertainment from what I saw in my walk around the property. Did have a sweet golden tee setup though, so again much more of a traditional kind of pub where the go to move is a pint with your boys watching football and playing golden tee at halftime. read more
