I reviewed Angus over two years ago and on this return visit I was very impressed with the quality of the food and excellent service from Kallib. It was easy to make a reservation and from the start the service was good from each server. We both had the $29.99 surf and turf offering which is a good deal and the quality of our steak , shrimp and ribs was impressive for that price point. My steak arrived flaming and topped with the most delicious butter. You can tell the servers are making an effort to please customers and management asked how things were going. It is a large place with plenty of seating and a nice view of the waterfront . I did feel the other steak options on the menu were a little pricey. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to visitors and locals looking for a nice moderate priced steak dinner.

Great food and even better service. Reven was a great server. My sirloin steak was one of the best steaks I have ever eaten!!! Must have the care listed o ions and mushrooms!!! Beautiful view as well.

Place itself has an interesting menagerie of animal taxidermy which I suppose is an interesting vibe for a southern steakhouse. Got there for an early time for dinner so there was plenty of waiters and waitresses around but they didn't really have anything to do. Just kinda stood around weirdly. We were steamed promptly and the food was out promptly which was a good sign. We both got the ribeye, mine was supposed to medium and my fellow quest was supposed to be medium well. So it comes and mine is a dry medium well. Funnily enough our waiter was standing over us asking us to take a bite which I have never had happen before. Part of the steak had too much seasoning and the rest had little to none. The fries that came with it were honestly pretty solid honestly the best part of the meal. It was a fine experience.

Delicious French Martini and fabulous surf and turf.

We had fabulous service, unfortunately I don't remember the name of our waiter, but he was great at letting us pace our meal. My family loves coming here and it was my husband's birthday so that is how we ended up there. Unfortunately, I have yet to have a mail that was memorable for the right reasons. I do not like that the specials are not written down so that you can see all the details and the $$. The night that we were there, the waiter described one of the specials with mahi-mahi over crab & lobster risotto, which sounded amazing. I ordered with full anticipation that this was the meal I would finally love. Unfortunately, the risotto was so full of red and green peppers that you couldn't even taste the crab and lobster. The fish was beautifully prepared, but I ended up taking everything home because my pallet was blown by the bell peppers. It was an expensive special that was reheated with homemade risotto. A friend was happy to eat the leftovers from Oyster Rock.

My mom and sister and I visited from Charleston and planned a trip to Little River specifically to have dinner at The Brentwood and take their ghost tour. The entire evening though was one disappointment after another: from the food to the service to the "ghost tour". Dinner was chaotic before it even began. The menu was changed multiple times by head cook Steve...first the chicken was unavailable, then it was duck, then suddenly chicken Marsala, then back to chicken Caprese. My sister and I went with the chicken caprese and our mom the short ribs. When we finally did get our meals, the chicken dish looked NOTHING like what was described and it was NOT good. It was almost like they just took whatever extra ingredients they had in the kitchen and threw it together to make some type of a chicken pasta dish. They were literally giving away additional plates of it to the other diners during the ghost tour experience for free. My sister and I both left our plates mostly untouched, and our server Lorena didn't ask a single question about why two entrées went back almost full. For the price, it was disappointing to leave hungry. Dessert didn't help either...no one around us finished theirs. And then there was the ghost tour. To call it a "tour" is generous...and it was somehow even worse than dinner. It started with reality TV clips from different ghost hunting show that we could've watched online for free. After that, our guide Steve (yes, the same person who cooked our dinner) led us on what was maybe a 15-minute walk while repeating the same stories multple times he'd already told us earlier in the evening. He seemed extremely disheveled and under the influence of something. His Levi's boxers were literally hanging out of his jeans the entire time. It was unprofessional and uncomfortable. When the "tour" ended, we didn't even bother sticking around to explore the historic property. We were over it. We ended up talking with another couple who had driven in (like us) to celebrate their anniversary, and they were just as disappointed and confused by the whole experience as we were. I absolutely would not recommend this restaurant or the ghost tour to anyone in its current state.

Our party of 8 was seated very quickly. They were not too busy on an early Tuesday evening, but our waitress must have been double or triple sat because she was running around doing the best she could to keep up. She was very friendly and we did not mind the delays because we were all socializing. Our party loved the complimentary hushpuppies because we had all been waiting all day to go out for a big Calabash style dinner. I felt like the fryer oil needed to be changed, and the whipped spread packages had not been refrigerated. Of course, that did not stop me from shoveling half a basket into my face because I was hungry, and it took a long time to order. I was pretty happy with my shrimp and fries when they arrived. Green beans were the side of the day. They tasted like canned beans with zero seasoning. Unfortunately, 3 of us got really sick later that evening. I assume it was the slaw because it was the one side that all 3 of us ate. Let me tell you, vomiting up slaw really sucks. If you want to risk it, get the smaller senior portion. We all took home half of our leftovers but had to throw them all away the next day. I hate wasting food, but I hate being sick way more. It is unfortunate because I really liked the place and would have returned annually. I wish I had looked at other reviews before going, but the family really wanted to go here because of good experiences for years prior.

Not bad, just not particularly memorable. My mom got the sweet potato roll, which I surprisingly really enjoyed. I also ordered a sparkling sake. Service-wise, the bartender was a bit scattered and slow. She threw out the screw top from my sake bottle, but when she realized I might want to take the rest to go, she actually opened a new bottle just to give me the cap, which I appreciated. She also asked if I wanted a wine glass, which felt a little odd considering they have sake glasses. Honestly though, it seemed like they could probably benefit from having another worker helping out.
