Tucked away in the back of the kitchen at Pala Casino, Anila's Cucina Rustica offers one of the most unique dining experiences in North County. The setting itself is part of the charm -- an intimate, behind-the-scenes space that feels almost like a secret supper club where you're invited into the chef's creative world. The menu is intentionally limited, built around an Italian theme that highlights both tradition and imagination. Each dish shows off the chef's creativity, from bold flavor combinations to artful presentation. The food is exceptionally tasty, rich with fresh ingredients and thoughtful execution. While the portions aren't oversized, they're generous enough to leave you fully satisfied, and the value matches the quality -- expect prices on the higher side, but for what you get, it feels justified. The cozy, exclusive setting amplifies the experience, making dinner here feel like a special occasion even if it's just a regular night out. If you enjoy discovering hidden gems and appreciate Italian cuisine done with flair and heart, Anila's Cucina Rustica is absolutely worth a visit. It's a one-of-a-kind spot that delivers on flavor, creativity, and ambience -- a place that truly hits the spot. Enjoy!

An absolute must, please, just go! Hidden in the back of the bar and grill restaurant at the Pala casino, is this absolute gem! You have to walk through the kitchen, past the dish washers to get to a hidden room in the kitchen, right next to the station the chef is cooking up fantastic food! It's an experience like no other, so quaint, intimate and classy. I absolutely recommend a stop! We allowed the chef to pick appetizers for the table - a cheese and meat plate, fresh bread with a pine nut, sun dried tomato and parsley spread (absolutely Devine), with pickled veggies. For dinner the chef recommended the Wild New Zealand John Dorey - a delicate flaky white fish with roasted fennel and charred broccolini. It was absolutely the best dish of the night! Service was absolutely outstanding! With the chef herself making recommendations on menu items. Definitely worth the drive for a fun night at the casino and dinner! Pro tip: arrive early (5 pm) to get seats. They only have a few tables! Or make reservations ahead.

Cute restaurant in back room. Service was spot on. Very attentive Chef Anila came out to greet her customers which was a nice touch.

If you can... splurge on the special chef's dinner where you can sit in the back kitchen area. We sat in the center under the large chandelier and felt like special guests! Chef Anila came to our table and suggested delicious dishes. It was a such a treat: the food, the ambience and service was great. Restaurant is in Pala casino. I will be back.

My wife and I had an incredible first experience at Anila's Cucina Rustica, and it definitely won't be our last. We even had the pleasure of meeting Chef Anila herself, which made the evening feel even more special. We started with the burrata and caponata with eggplant appetizer fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. I had the braised short rib and the zuppa di pesce, both outstanding. The short rib was tender and rich, and the seafood in the zuppa was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. My wife ordered the penne alla vodka and loved every bite. What really sets this place apart is the feeling. Chef Anila has such a warm, homey presence like a mother cooking with love for her family. You can taste that care in every dish. From the fresh bread and butter to the attentive and friendly service, everything was thoughtful and welcoming. From the moment they took my name down to the time we finished our meal, we felt genuinely taken care of. Highly recommend. A true gem.

This is the best kept secret in Temecula. A chef's table experience behind a very nice restaurant, small and intimate with a great view of the chef cooking. I would recommend reservations. The chef is super friendly and accommodating. There is a regular menu and weekly specials. There are plenty of gluten free options. The food is delicious and the sommelier is knowledgeable and friendly. I definitely recommend the chefs table!

Anila is a wonderful and compassionate chef!!! Her love shines thru as she works her magic in the kitchen before you, and STILL manages to find time to come out and visit with her guests!! This place is truly NEXT LEVEL!! And the service was impeccable!!! As if ambiance and service weren't enough, each course of the meal is meticulously planned and hand crafted in a beautiful array!!! Anila covers ALL The Bases!!!! And you will leave here refreshed, encouraged, and satisfied!!! Do your self and your loved one a SUPER, and One-Up your usual Luxury Dinner!!! Who knows... maybe you'll also get the Heart Shaped Cucumbers on the fresh Salmon Crudo! Mmmuah!!! Magnifiqué!

Appetizers and Octopus salad the sauce to drizzle on the bread was delicious and amazing in flavor.

Absolutely delicious and beautifully presented! Our server Chase was so attentive and made the evening perfect. What an exquisite experience! A hidden gem you must try. The flavors were divine, the staff went above and beyond, the atmosphere was amazing. Chief Anila thank you so such for an amazing experience true authentic food.

When we arrived the host was very rude and unaccompanied she offered us to dine at Bar Meets grill we instead and told her that we wanted to try Anila's! .What a great find, this place now is my must stop place at Pala . I was glad to hear Chef's Anila"s weekly specials . Our server was Stephen friendly and witty . Chef Anila stopped by our table and described various dishes and answered questions while telling mini stories of each dish . Her approach was very welcoming . From my table I could see and overhear her patiently making recommendations to other customers nearby as well. Each guest received her undivided attention. Everything was spot on. I can't wait to come back and enjoy this delicious food

If you want intimate, less people, casual, friendly, and chef in house cooking in front of you right there just like in your own home. And not to mention, excellent Italian FOODS! ( to me ) My first time there.... It's very interesting when host guide you into the Anila's hidden restaurant. I can't tell you such an experience. You have to be there experience to for yourself. Anila's is sound fancy, right!!!! Wait until you have their foods. You can't stop eating!!! I tried to take pictures before I eat but ended up ate half of the foods and realized I forgot to take pictures before. Not to mention Anila's restaurant is open only 3 days a week, from Thursday to Saturday and reservation is recommended because only five tables. By the way, I don't give unless really good in my opinion. Well recommended!!!!

Let me just say Thank you to the staff and the most amazing chef that I had the pleasure to experience her food and watch her cook with so much love. She also visits your table and is very humble and kind. I have to say for me and my husband, this has been the best meal we ever had.

Anila gave us her business card for any visits in the future

Amazing! Anila and Steven were great, the food was mouth watering and the service was fantastic. Hands down one of the best experiences and dinners we have ever had, to be in the back as she cooks you her creations was great. Anila was kind and came to the table to say hi and speak to us a bit. If you're looking for a one of a kind experience this is it. Highly recommend

We immediately brought this to the staff's attention because we had not finished eating the dish. The manager brought us a replacement, but it consisted of only noodles without the seafood. Later, when the original dish was being taken away, the manager pointed to several mussel shells and implied that they had already been eaten (I was shocked about this behavior). However, those mussels were not empty. I showed him that they had not been touched and that we had not eaten them. What disappointed us most was not the mistake with the seafood, but the manager's attitude and the way he responded to our concern. He told us that the restaurant could not control the sand in the seafood. We understand that seafood can occasionally contain some sand, but we expected the situation to be handled with more understanding and professionalism. To be fair, our waitress was very apologetic and felt bad about what happened. She removed the pasta from our bill and offered us a complimentary tiramisu, which we appreciated and gave her proper tips. Unfortunately, the manager's response left us feeling as though we were being blamed for complaining about something we had actually experienced. We were not looking for anything unreasonable--we simply wanted our concern to be acknowledged and handled respectfully. The food issue was disappointing, but the manager's attitude was what made the experience particularly unpleasant. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously and works on providing better customer service when handling legitimate complaints.

Having welcomed a newborn just a week ago, my wife and I have been entirely too sleep-deprived and busy to cook. What started as a simple errand ended up being one of the most heartwarming experiences we've had in a long time. When I ordered, Bella at the deli register kindly let me know there would be about a 20-minute wait due to call-in orders, offering me water and fresh bread while I waited. Since my wife and week-old baby were waiting in the air-conditioned car, I brought them inside to sit with me. Shortly after we sat down, a family dining nearby noticed our baby and struck up a warm conversation. A moment later, one of the women from the family came over to congratulate us and offered us some fresh pastries. She returned to our table with two pistachio-filled croissants and two espressos--a gesture that, given our level of sleep deprivation, couldn't have been more appreciated! I later learned from Bella that this incredibly kind woman was Valeria, a member of the Giuseppe family who owns the restaurant. As for the food itself, we got the Gloria sandwich on focaccia. It is honestly one of the best sandwiches we've ever had--so good that this was actually our second time ordering it in three days! I cannot thank Valeria, Bella, and the Giuseppe family enough for their exceptional hospitality and generosity. We left feeling truly cared for and look forward to being regular customers for years to come.

It's tucked into a quiet shopping center with easy parking and looks decent from the outside, but the inside was packed and loud enough that we could barely hear each other. The service felt completely indifferent from the start. I had made a reservation and noted that it was for a birthday, but the host didn't acknowledge either. Instead, we got an uninspired, "How many? Two? Follow me." That lack of attention continued throughout the meal. The bar was out of ingredients for my cocktail, so I ended up with an overpriced $14 glass of Zin. Worse, no one mentioned any shortages before we had time to look over the menu. After deciding what to order, my fiancé was told they were completely out of veal--even though veal is the base for around few different entrées. Appetizer: The beef carpaccio didn't match the menu description. When I pointed it out, the server simply brought some cheese to the table. It was just okay, but ultimately the best savory part of the meal. Both entrées were major disappointments. My shrimp scampi had rubbery, overcooked shrimp with okay garlic pasta that I could have made better at home. My fiancé's replacement chicken dish was heavily oversalted, with some pasta and vegetables on the side. The only bright spot was dessert. We grabbed a couple of treats from the display on our way out, and the mini cannoli and lemon gelato cheesecake were both great. Skip the homemade lemon cheesecake, though--it tasted more like barely sweetened yogurt. Overall, between sub-par , missing menu staples, and disappointing entrées, this was not the birthday dinner we were hoping for. Unfortunately, we won't be back.

Where to begin -- a great environment, truly the best of people work there. Knowledgeable, friendly, will engage with new or frequent guests and make the entire time a nice evening out. It is not formal and stuffy dining -- it is a fun, friendly place, incredible food, end of the casino and not hemmed in by tables and machines, open and no smokers, a great place in a quality casino. I had the BMG Salad -- light, lemon accent dressing, tastes great, feels healthy, less filling. Not sure you can ask more of a salad. It always is consistent. There are other appetizers, but that one, the chopped salad and French Onion soup, and meatballs, after asking for less bread accent are among the best., After I had the NY Strip, baked potato and vegetable accent. All "meat" dishes at BMG are exceptional for those of us not into seafood. Ribeye, filet, NY strip, pork chop, lamb chops, short rib, a great range of options. Great quality, but the preparation and temperature are now perfect with Chef Mark, Chef Carlos, and an incredible team working with them at the grill. It has never been better and more consistent. I love lamb and pork, ribeye most of all, but trusted Chef Mark to select, he did, he was right and I have no reluctance in admitting that. Perhaps one of the finest cuts and preparation I have ever had...anywhere. If you have not eaten at BMG, you need to and meet the people there and have a great night. If you have a while ago, you are missing an improved menu under Chef Mark and the best grill and prep team, possible. Every server assistant and host is the best. And in a casino, away from smokers and cigar people, it is a haven for fine dining alone or with friends and family. I write more than most because, well, that's me. But also I think where you eat and have a good time, particularly with family or close friends, is more than the menu and table. More than the view. It is how much you enjoy the night, the people helping, the food being even better than I could ever describe, and the non-rushing environment where you dial it back, can talk, laugh and enjoy a great night and welcome the chance to return. OK, if that's what you are looking for, here it is.

Like any casino, the slots are hit-or-miss; some pay out a bit, others are tight. Although there's a smoke-free area, the smell lingers so I did see some people wearing masks due to the smell. We've spent hours on the phone with both our bank and the casino, with no meaningful resolution other than having to cancel our credit cards ourselves to prevent the charges from going through. We are extremely disappointed. Our family has been coming to Pala for more than 25 years, and it's upsetting to experience these issues. If these unauthorized charges are happening to other patrons as well, that is very concerning. What a shame to see a place we've enjoyed for so many years leave us feeling this way.
